My first A7X album was City of Evil. I think that would be a good place to start. It's the 3rd album. It has a good mix of songs from heavy to softer, to haunting. One of the things I really like about A7X is their versatility.
YES! You should do an album reaction! Every album has it's own style while still being "Avenged Sevenfold style". I recommend reacting first to the album "Waking the Fallen". Heavy shit man :D
Thanks for the reaction bro! I would definitely be on board for an album reaction of Avenged Sevenfold!! I would start with Waken the Fallen. It's actually their 2nd album. Sounding the Seventh Trumpet is their first one. I tried listening to it a little, but it's just so raw and so unlike the A7X I know of now.
I first heard City of Evil. After a while I decided to go back and listen to the first 2 albums. I didn't like either of them at the time. Now I've come to love Waking the Fallen, and am starting to warm to Sounding the Seventh Trumpet.
if you want to react to more of this band's best songs here is the list for it: Afterlife (live lbc version) critical acclaim (live lbc version) scream (live lbc version) beast and a harlot (music video) bat country (music video) A Little Piece of Heaven (music video)
Definitely need to dig into A7X more, they’re amazing despite song of the flack they get. If you want something raw and aggressive, then that’s their 1st album, Sounding the Seventh Trumpet, though most fans skip it or forget it exists, not much quality there honestly. Their 2nd album, Waking The Fallen, is more cleaned up but still has that raw aggression, people love it, I think it’s good. The 3rd, City of Evil, is where they really found their sound, lot of harmony, but the instrumentation hits it home The 4th, Self Titled, expands their sound further, easier to digest The 5th, Nightmare, is considered their best, most the songs are about The Rev, their long time drummer that passed during the making of the album, Mike Portnoy fills in for drums and captures their sound very well The 6th, Hail to the King, is a much more stripped back album, gets compared to Metallica’s Black album and AC/DC, but that’s because they went for a classic metal sound as a bit of a tribute, people don’t like it that much, but I think it’s amazing despite being more simplistic. The 7th, The Stage, they did a complete 180 from the previous album and went Prog, and they absolutely nailed it, probably their best album from a technical perspective.
If you are going to do an album review, I would start with "City of Evil" or "Nightmare". This band has some of the best guitar and transitions. You are in for a ride man! Enjoy!
My favorite song of theirs, that switch up at the end is masterful

I'd love a reaction to all of the self titled album and also Nightmare.
Fun fact, Synester uses some of the same riffs in the intro of this that he uses in So Far Away. RIP The Rev

Avenged Sevenfold Scream is a good song !!

They have a new song called "Nobody" released earlier this week. Check it out
I would start from their 2nd album WAKING THE FALLEN
That's a great start
React to Avenged Sevenfold - 'Unholy Confessions' and 'Critical Acclaim" Live in the LBC
I love this song and the head banging Skeletons in chains. If your haven't heard seize the day it has a really good video
Next react to Avenged Sevenfold Buried Alive - Live at Loud Park 2010! Even better than studio!
Good reaction your coolness
They no biggest band actually, but people with talents, for me for sure.
This only my opinion, btw.

This song seems to turn into a different song by the end but it's still an awesome song
