Stardew Valley kept me sane while I was sick in bed with COVID-19. I must have put over 160 hours into it last month. There is so much to do and see, and even when you've found everything, you can still amuse yourself with self-imposed restrictions or... interesting mods. And yes, Abigail is best girl, issues with undiagnosed pica notwithstanding
The music is the real star of this game
No one persuades me to check out games quite like Jared does.

I really prefer Haley, no joke. The more you become friends with her, the more she becomes a more, responsible, interesting and likeable person. Instead of playing into the stereotype, she becomes a more mature person the closer you get to her.

Because she stops being one after your influence shows her the important things in life. That's not how love works, mate. You don't keep bad people away from you just because they make you mad sometimes. REAL love is fighting for someone when that person steps on you, because you want them to be a better person. And I mean that not just in a relashionship kind of way.
Sometimes it's really worth enduring how crappy some people are just to see the effects of good influence in their life.

Ventus will I guess it's not as popular since it's an even more fantasy-like Harvest Moon.
It's a great game, it's just unfortunately not as mainstream as games like stardew and harvest.

I purchased this game over a weekend during which I was recovering from strep throat. I logged 24 hours of playtime in two days. This game is crazy addicting.
I decided my character (male) would just leave romance open to whomever, no real gender preference. But after a while, I began to hate Haley the fashion girl so much that I have been actively going for the jock, just to protect him from her influence. And yes, the guys do get much more interesting once you get past the surface.
This video is pretty much how I got into Stardew Valley and Harvest Moon, and years later I’ve put in at least 250 hours on the Nintendo Switch version. The new update came out recently, but for some reason or another, I can’t get back into it. It’s difficult to pick back up when the game is in Summer. I plan on ending my Stardew Valley hiatus soon, so I can return to Auburn Farm.
I can't believe I haven't played this yet!! Harvest moon 64 was my LIFE! I've probably played 25 in game years all together....LETS GO FOR ANOTHER 25 IN STARDEW VALLEY!!!
