Hi brilliant video thanks, my new discs were put on but something damaged the abs sensor ring straight away so abs light still shows, don’t want to get new disc as these were new any ideas
Thanks Jean, the Sensor Ring is part of the Brake Disc unfortunately, I think they are pressed together during manufacturing. It’s not shown in this video but I had previously replaced the actual Wheel Sensor assuming this was the issue originally as this was also damaged. Regards 😎.
Not sure Alberto, but could be as the ESP is related to the Traction Control so more than likely a faulty Sensor on one of the wheels. A diagnostic tool should pinpoint which one.
Nice clear video. The new disc & sensor hasn't cured mine. Could be a fault further along the wiring. Its intermittent fault. It affects the automatic hand brake as well.
The car was put away, all fine in an open hangar. Storm Ciaran came and went. Got the dreaded dashboard sign. Checked on internet. Decided can't be brake pads or fluid as only passed MOT 7 weeks ago. Decided must be ABS sensor. Thanks to your video I now know it isn't something I can "just" clean up myself! 😁🤪😂
You'll never guess what it actually was! The dashboard sign disappeared. Great the wind cleared it out she thinks! 😁 Tuesday this week driving along dashboard alarm. Oops low on petrol! she thinks 😁 It's not that far. But nope car just stops. Middle of the road. No power. Engine turns but clacks. Haven't even gone into orange zone on petrol. Cutting long story short. In the garage bonnet open. It's not the battery he says. It's not fuel empty. I see some torn plastic and bits of sponge lying about on engine and touch it. It gets his attention. Turns out a mouse has been in for winter insulation and as we all know they pp non stop and that's corrosive and it killed the "BSM". I was lucky because he had the same thing happen last week to another car still in garage and showed me the replacement box. So I got mine back today 🤗

Thanks Freya,
I think the previous owner had an issue with the Sensor Ring, hence the damage to it.
To be honest I got it after an mot
