because the engines arent on which would in this case power the green hydraulic system. the blue and yellow system are powered by the electrical hydraulic pumps. so basically it uses 2/3rds of the hydraulic power to move the gear

The landing gear is powered by the Green Hydraulic system which can be powered by either Engine 1 or the PTU (Yellow Hydraulic system pressurizes the Green Hydraulic system through the PTU). In this case, you can hear the PTU running (with Yellow Hydraulic electric pump on) which operates the gear at a slower than normal speed. Cheers
