I do admit, that there was a couple parts that got some chuckles out of me. Shaw is hilarious in his madness and Billy Collony squirrel is always a joy. Not to mention the scene where Shaw sings Boog's lullaby in a menacing way as a parallel to the earlier time it was sung, is legitimately creepy and works.
This Movie doesn't have a bad soundtrack. Some nice calming emotional songs and a few nice roadtrip songs but it doesn't always mix so well with overly comedic tone and humor of the movie itself.
i'm gonna say this.....the films are kind of a guilty pleasure~ not great films, but not terrible films. i still think the straight to DVD movies are better than most movies shot out of companies, and the first movie gives me a lot of funny jokes and moments.
This is one of the animated movies (besides Shrek, Ice Age, Madagascar) that they liked to play in a TV over and over again where I grew up. It was not my favourite movie, but I didn't hated it either.
There actually have been people who have adopted large, aggressive animals like bears, lions, tigers, panthers, etc. when they were all little and cute...it usually doesn't end too well for the people or the animals.
Idk if Beth was always planning to keep Boog forever before Elliott turns up and messes things up , but dropping him off in the woods without teaching him how to be a bear first wasn't the best idea.
This is one of your most funniest reviews yet as I laugh a lot on a few jokes you made here like on the comment on the "Pooping Joke" and "He has a spoon". Also, can't wait for next month on Patreons especially the tease at the end made by me! :-)
Mine are Surf’s Up (original), Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 1 (almost), the Aardman movies (Arthur Christmas and The Pirates! Band of Misfits), R. L. Stine’s Goosebumps (almost), Smurfs: The Lost Village (not really, but then again, the best thing about it is that it is a massive step-up from The Smurfs (2011) and its only shitquel) and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse.
*likes comment, although...* *Least favourites* • Open Season 2 & 3 • The Smurfs 1 & 2 • Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2 (I understand that like the original, it has a cult following. But I know a lot of its members that are too disrespectful to like such as Chase Williamson, Thiti2000, the UTTP/RFAA/EDCP/IGUA if they were actually serious and Ryan’s Channel to the least extent) • Surf’s Up 2: WaveMania (crossovers are a very interesting idea since it is an interaction fo characters of difference franchises... depending on what they are) • The Emoji Movie • Peter Rabbit (of course, it had defenders made of former toxic fans of Mr. Coat that wanted AniMat dead for disliking Sony Pictures Animation as a whole, like Mr. Coat himself! m.ruclips.net/video/XwDU-4gbsRY/видео.html) • Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation (it made its predecessors look even more like underrated gems than they are, but as for Transformania, on the other hand, it may be a Hotel Transylvania fan, but coming from someone who actually had positive expectations of one of the things of the 2020s that are actually good, like Sony Pictures Animation since the end of 2018 when they made Into the Spider-verse, this is one I actually think will be the best film in the series, and I mean up to the ranks of Goodnight Mr. Foot)!
I really only like the first movie, as it has a lot of nostalgic value to me, and I watched it a lot as a kid. The other ones, I don't particularly care for.
has anyone noticed the sound when Shaw's truck stops in front of Elliot and when the pass by Gordy it sounds like a roar of a lion or something now that is a beast of a truck.
Hey this is still probably more watchable then The Emoji Movie. I need to watch Sony's other animated films to confirm this but I swear more recently they seem to be undergoing de-evolution.
14:55 im a hunter, alot of my friends are hunters and we just like the free meat and some of us just like shootin stuff no one believes this, well except for joe but no one likes him
He did review the sequel a few years back. And even though it is a (mostly) positive review of Cloudy 2, I think AniMat (secretly) took it well after watching it!
This movie can best be described as "Excessively Mediocre". It's pretty bland. Number two has some energy, a kind of Snobs vs Slobs thing going on. Weird as it probably is to say, I prefer the third. Alistair is nicely campy, there's romances everywhere and Elliott's kids are pretty nifty. When I saw Scared Silly I was disgusted. They retconned every good element.
exactly.Jezelle & Elliot's kids weren't there & neither was Boog's girlfriend Ava.And when they show Mr.Weiner's friends they aren't Fifi,Stanley,Roger,Nate,Charlene,Rufus,or Roberto
I'll be looking forward to your Tenticolino review but in the meantime it looks like you'll be covering Madagascar 3 next. Very excited for that unfortunately Nana is not in this one. Your a bad kitty Dreamworks. May I also suggest once again the two YU-GI-OH movies before Darkside of dimensions is released. You know it'll be fitting for the 20th anniversary of the franchise. But I know that'll have to wait if you want to do it. As always, thanks again for a fun review to brighten the day and hope you comment about what you think of my suggestions. Until next month or sooner. 👍🏻 PS: Space Chimps 2. (Smirks) sry😉 PS 2: If you look at my comment in your Yogi Bear review, you'll see I put notice that a sequel is indeed in production.
To me, Open Season is one of those movies in which just because I loved it as a kid doesn't mean I like it now. Unfortunately, that's the case for me with Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs. I loved it then, but now I just find it mediocre. I'll give Cloudy this though, it's not as bad as Open Season.
@@DamnZtar Yeah. Even Media Hunter wanted to try too hard to make Sony Pictures Animation (well, before Spider-verse, so far) sound great. Not up to Mr. Coat's sociopathic level, but up to Cartoon Palooza's level where I guess they just have opinions...

In comparison to Over the Hedge and Hoodwinked, all North American animal movies in the same year
Honestly, I love this movie out of nothing more than childhood nostalgia.

Bears can be tamed if raised from birth.
I've just now realized how much PeanutButterGamer sounds like Ashton Kutcher in this movie.

I completely forgot about this flick and its other 2 dvd squeals
still better then the alpha and Omega movies
True, but I would take the original A&O over all the movies of the OS quadrilogy, especially 2 & 3.
Can you review The Wild, Disney's version of Madagascar
