BTO Bird ID - Small black-headed gulls

A hooded gull in summer is likely to be the ubiquitous Black-headed Gull, but there are a couple of other species that sport the same summer finery. Would you be able to pick out a Little or Mediterranean Gull from the crowd?

this bird(Mediterranean gull) is very aggressive if you go near its little ones. i know because i was walking near the sea somewhere and then suddenly it appeared and started charging towards me multiple times and making noise. i was probably very near to its nest. i shat bricks and big respect that it is not afraid to protect its little ones.

There's no such bird as a normal seagull. You probably refer to Herring Gull.
