I didn't have any CAS issues. Instead, unaware of this, it completely messed up my game with stuff like moving all of the Uni sims to my main world or corrupting the portraits
The reason I took smoth patch out of my game is bc Master Controller CAS compact form doesn't work when smoth patch is installed. Did you figure out a way to make it work?
@eliana.playsts3 I actually haven't heard of that part of the mod, this is the first I've heard of compact form Create a Sim. I'm doing some research on it. Can you tell me some more about it? Such as what the issues are? And thank you for bringing this to my attention 😊 I know a lot of things about this game, but only the ones I have played with and read about.
@Gleamiarts Thank you! I actually just watched a great video by a cotton sock, which explained this to me. I'll have to test it out and see how it functions. It's a very cool feature I didn't even know was there!
@@GoldenEnninasSims3 To clarify (because I also have this question) you need MC and MCintegration and then in game there is an MC option to compact CAS so that you only see one item of clothing at a time without all the different color presets. It makes CAS run faster because it has to load a lot less. This function notoriously does not work with Smooth patch. So I'd also like to know if you find a workaround.
@CarTa3 hi! So I actually just tested this feature last week. Unfortunately compact mode does not work with smooth patch. And I'm not skilled enough at coding or modding to figure out why, at least not yet 😊 this workaround is to fix the issue in the video, where you can't click on the different clothing categories. I'll definitely let you all know if and when I figure out a workaround, I would also really love to use compact mode! Thankfully smooth patch does help with the loading times though since it only loads a few at a time.
Thank you. I've never had smoothness patch because when i wanted to download it, i saw that it was incompatible with MC. I'll try this and see if it works for me
I didnt even know this was an issue.. I've been using them together without this specific thing happening. Only problem I've been having is that my build/buy freezes up and lags occasionally
Oh wow, you are lucky! Also, try adding that Script Mod from lazy Duchess I talked about at the end of my video. It's made my build buy and several other aspects work a lot better 😊
@@GoldenEnninasSims3 I'll try it and see if it works! What I'm going to do though, is save a backup of the original file just in case I have other issues
Awesome! Let me know if it helps! That's definitely the way to do it. I'm constantly saving and backing up my save files and my mods list. Just in case anything happens. I've had too many times of losing things in the past, it's made me paranoid 😂
Hi! You are so welcome! So that's actually pure happenstance LOL I'm using the Clean UI mod by justmiha97. The mod is only 30% finished, so most of the games UI is gray with green detail, but some of it they haven't gotten to yet. So you get a blue CAS UI with green details 😂 www.tumblr.com/justmiha97/641940442089439232/clean-ui-13-beta-release?source=share
@@GoldenEnninasSims3 I was a bit confused about the add on because it said that I would replace an already existing file so I did not add it to my mods folder in fear of breaking smt...
I think it was pure happenstance. I had been hoping to figure out a way to make the two mods work together and I just happened to stumble onto this. As I remember I was dragging my cursor over the different categories, frustrated that they wouldn't click, and when I ran my mouse over the back button it actually lit up. So I clicked back and went back in and all the buttons worked! Figuring out the create a style was also pure happenstance. I just happened to click in to change something, and when I went back out everything was working!
@sampinkflor hi! I'm using these default replacement hair mods right now 😁 I'll probably be sticking with them because they look fantastic. By the way, sometimes they don't load in right on townies. If that happens, just bring them into create a sim and then back out. That should work 😁 Sometimes you have to change them to another hair style then change it back to get it to load properly. Enjoy! agnelid.tumblr.com/post/685533141003337728/default-replacement-hair-pack-ts3

@lumilumii oh wow, I've never heard of this issue! I'll look it up.
Thank you so much for this, I haven't seen anyone else who's been able to make these work together! 😃

@@GoldenEnninasSims3 You never know with The Sims 3. It keeps you on your toes like walking on eggshells. It's definitely an enigma
I've had so much weird crap happen with this game and they stump me every time. Luckily, this game has taught me how to troubleshoot it 😅
