Welcome to my channel!
I am on a mission to create the most beautiful, stable and immersive version of the Sims 3 through mods and CC. Last year I released my mods list, The Washburn Edition Version 4, for the first time. It came with 215 mods to update, improve and fix nearly every aspect of the game. Now, I am working on Version 5, which will add hundreds of new mods, all of which will work together to improve the game even further.

What an adventure this was! The build took about 10-15 hours, and the video took about 15 hours to edit. I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I began this project. This indeed looks amazing 🤩 I installed the beta lighting mod by boring bones and I love it. I only have one problem with it - while the outdoors look stunning and vivid, the indoors are way too dark to my liking (and I even have a mod installed that lets windows let in more light inside). Have you any idea how to amend this?

@@deenn376 Here is the second one. I think you might already be using it. There are two different file to use. One where they are all merged, use this one if you own every expansion pack AND stuff pack. The other file is seperated. Only use the files for the packs that you have. @freddiebox I appreciate the honest feedback! I've actually changed lighting mods since then. I'm currently using Boring Bones' new beta lighting mod, V1, which really breathes new life into the game 😊 I actually made an entire video about his lighting mod if you're interested.

I didn't have any CAS issues. Instead, unaware of this, it completely messed up my game with stuff like moving all of the Uni sims to my main world or corrupting the portraits

@@GoldenEnninasSims3 yea it is but a lot of people got window 11 so the sims 3 don’t work on window 11 im glad I didn’t update it
@@textaas32 yeah I've heard people talk about that. I know for some people it's an issue with having a 12th or 13th generation processor. Thankfully the wonderful Lazy Duchess created the Intel Adler Lake Patch to fix that issue. But honestly, before I installed the Washburn Edition, my game would barely even work on my laptop. I'm so happy I can help others as well!
Will this mod set up help me run on windows 11? as it is, it will not load.
@romantic340 yes it will! So there's actually a couple things that I know of that can cause the game not to load. If you have a 12 or 13 generation Intel processor, there is a glitch that will cause the game not to work. Thankfully, the wonderful Lazy Duchess created a mod called the Intel Adler Lake Patch that should fix the issue! Also, it's important to make sure your graphics card is hooked up properly. The Sims 3 is such an old game that it doesn't recognize newer graphics cards without some work. On top of that, I would recommend using my Version 4 Washburn Edition mods list, especially the Game Stability section. Before I installed these mods, I could only run one or two expansion packs at a time. If I tried to run all of them, the game would crash. But with those mods installed, the game runs beautifully even with maxed out graphics and all expansion packs!

@@GoldenEnninasSims3 yeah I've been thinking of buying sims 3 but I probably need to delete my sims 4 for sims 3 to be playable.. I have the same old computer like yours.. Mine is the old Asus computer with still 10th gen spec.. I only used that computer for gaming like Sims 4 so I look forward to your mod improvement of Sims 3.. My Sims 4 game is really crashing right now.. It's kinda sucks tbh
@minxbella9342 I'm so sorry to hear that 😔 It's heartbreaking to lose your familes, your stories and your progress. Iwent through that in my own way with Sims 3 for years, which is why I created the Washburn Edition. I hope it helps you as well 😊

@minxbella9342 I get that 😔 Back when I was playing Sims 4, for the first time I got really into it. My Sims ended up having triplets and I built them this beautiful house and was having a blast... then EA did an update and I lost everything. It took me a while to play the game again after that loss.

Hey! I was wondering if you every had that popular buy debug glitch where after entering buy debug you can no longer save you game? I can no longer use buy debug for the past several years because of this glitch. I'm wondering if you ever had it and cleared it. Also, for your lighting mod, I was wondering what lever your graphics rendering is on? Low, med or high? Thanks!!
@AtCar3 hi! I haven't experienced that glitch myself, thankfully! And as for my settings, I have all of my graphics settings maxed out. And I have animation smoothing and advanced rendering enabled 😊

Wait, something weird is going on. I use the Nilxis realistic clouds and Milkyway night sky mod. I don't have any other mods that has anything to do with clouds. But for some reason, in my game the clouds move way too fast. It's like I am fast forwarding the game. Your's looks perfectly "realistic" to me. Clouds should be floating slowing. I was going around trying to find out how to fix it. I have been playing the game with NRAAS Relativity and slows down to time in a day and make it longer. I made it 3x longer. 1 normal sim day is 24mins. In my game I made it to 72mins real time/1 sim day. It might look like a long time, but I am kind of a control freak and I play with a large household. 8 sims and more. So I need more time to control everyone. I also want the game to feel more realistic. Like having time to shower/bath in the morning before going to work. I also don't need to rush to work 3 hours early because of the time going by too fast that your car ride to work takes almost a whole sim hour. But when I play, it doesn't take exactly 72mins in real life since I fast forward the time especially during sleeping time. So usually 1 sim day takes less than 1 hour in real life, But that Nilxis realistic clouds mod really bothers me, The cloud is moving way too fast in my game for some unknown reason. At first I thought it was the normal speed. But when I saw your video with the clouds moving slowly, I think there is some mods that is changing the speed of the clouds in my game. Edit: ok I saw it doing the same thing in your game. @6:57. But how come earlier in your video @5:47, the clouds move "realistically" slower? Everytime i look up at my skies I see the clouds moving fast like @6:57. So it kinds of annoyed me a little. But because I am occupied with playing my sims most of the time, it is not exactly high on my "annoyed by it" list. But I still want to try and figure out how to slow the clouds speed down.
@m.d.f3797 hi! I'm so sorry you're having that issue. I also have the relativity mod, and I love it! I'm not currently playing with it since I'm still in the testing stage of creating V5 of my mods list. I also usually play with very large families, so I totally get it! I love having time to actually have a day and not feel rushed. I think the reason the clouds sometimes look normal in my game is that I tend to edit the speed of some video clips. I don't have the ability to record my screen right now, so I take in-game video clips, which are usually about 5 seconds to 30 seconds long. And then I string those together in Microsoft clipchamp and add audio and music. Because of how I record the game, sometimes the camera moves too fast and it is nauseating, so I will slow the clip down. Other times I slow it down or speed it up to fit the audio better. I don't remember having that issues with the clouds in version 4 of the Washburn Edition while I was using relativity. I'll go back and check my editing when I have time and see if I edited those clips 😊 and if I have time I'll do a little testing to see if I noticed that issue.
