I just had an insane realization hearing Basics while on a roadtrip. As soon as it finished Oh my gosh by Purple kiss started playing at random and then it clicked, in my mind both songs sit together at the same table. The dreamy production, the vocal layers, they might as well be composition sisters. Also funny enough both tracks are written by a Chaeyoung (Chaein is Lee Chaeyoung), both are undeniabbly the coolest and most original members of their respective groups (and also my biases) and both songs are in my top 5 bsides of the year. Now I can't stop hearing them back to back and having the best time, thank you Chaes for making such good music!

i agree with you , queen of hearts is a bit weak compared to the hits on this album , but after queen of hearts they are all impressive 10/10 I also want to say that they should take better advantage of chaeyoung as a rapper she is very good and they don't know how to make her shine, only she knows how to make herself shine (when she writes the songs) then many people say that twice does not have good rappers ..... I think the same with momo, jype does not know how to make them shine 😭😭

This album screams 90's. I'm reliving my teens and I'm all for it. "Queen Of Hearts" is probably my favourite both for it's sound and it's lyrics ( it reminds me of early Y2K Pop-Rock vibe i.e Pink). "Basics" is like a "basic" 90's Pop song executed and modernized perfectly . I'll have to disagree with you about "Trouble" which I feel gives more early 90's Techno vibe (with splashes of late 90's early Y2K Prog Trance) than House but the sound blending with that Trap bit (btw I hate Trap) was very skillfully done. Overall it's easy an 7.5-8/10 record for me. 👍 P.S 90's EDM is kinda messy since there were 200 genres/subgenres so I can also see someone calling the "Trouble" beat House.
I don’t feel the 90’s techno in trouble! It gives me pure 00’s house vibes! When I think of 90’s techno I think of Vengaboys 😂 whereas this was giving me 2010 Swedish house mafia or Avicci 😭

SHM and Avicii lean more to the prog side of House but non the less you are right. As I've said the genres back then are intertwined and cross over all the time. House alone has like 20 subgenres. I think this comeback was definitely more experimental. To me, this doesn't really sound like anything twice has released so far. So I was a bit taken aback by the b-sides, but after a few listens, the album really slaps
