Nope, it's much slower. I've driven it and it feels much weaker. Diesels albeit their high torque don't have enough RPM to use that actual torque while this 1.6 T-GDi initially has less torque and power, it is very fast later on. I managed to beat a BMW F10 320d with Xdrive, 184hp and almost 400nm with this engine so yeah... I think that 1.6 CRDI is 2 or 3 seconds slower. Just a shame they don't have the 2.0 CRDI with 185hp anymore.
those automatic hazards are cool!! so do the brake lights rapidly flash and then the hazards turn on when it stops?
We didn't check the rear lights but would assume so, yes!
Thanks for video. Did u try maximum speed?
Our pleasure. No, unfortunately the stretch of road we use isn't long enough for that!
@@GalimotoMedia Thanks for a swift answer 😉
Do you think that the Diesel Version with 136 hp has a similar acceleration considering that it has more torque (320 nm) than the petrol one?
We can only guess because Kia South Africa only sells this turbo-petrol version.
