- So this is a video I've been wanting to do for a while now. I'm sure there's many guys out there who don't know how amazing dry shampoo is exactly and I want you to try it! It's really great for realz. Get that greasy hair nice, light and fluffy.

to everyone asking why you would use dry shampoo instead of normal shampoo. Washing your hair every day with normal shampoo is bad for your hair because it strips it of natural oils. You use dry shampoo on days that you don't wash because it's not stripping, it's just removing excess grease.
+BluMaan So how do you shower without getting water in your hair? Also, how can you not wash your hair everyday after a day you use wax? I like to go to bed with clean hair.

Yeah but theres nothing wrong with that. Its not going to hurt your hair to leave a bit of wax in overnight. If you use high quality water soluble wax, the water alone will be able to get most if not all of it out
Anchovy Run I know that it's not a problem for the hair to have a bit wax on, but it's for me. I don't like any wax when I go to sleep. is there no shampoo that will not wash out all the natural oil?

Does any one know the chem behind dry shampoo? I'm curious to if it damages the hair
+DiLLZGFX the lush one is basically perfumed starch. you may just use regular corn starch that you steal from your mom it works perfectly. what the starch does is it binds fat so the fat isn't on your hair. by rubbing or brushing your hair thoroughly after applying starch you'll get most of that starch-fat stuff out of your hair, and the stuff that is still inside isn't on your hair directly hence it won't show the usual symptoms of greasy hair (shine, less volume, "wet" look).
i'm sure there are other things used in dry shampoos but starch is the most basic thing (it's also what makes your hair white) and as i said, try using kitchen staple corn starch some time, you'll see it works exceptionally.
+DiLLZGFX so there is no damaging risk from starch. but form brand to brand they might add other stuff that might be problematic in some way. lush's should be perfectly fine.

I just bought this particular brand and that's one of the things I did immediately was look in the back and not gonna lie, it does look pretty scary but I think part of it is because they include the stuff the spray bottle uses to get the product out (like the aerosol and stuff) but I'm not sure. Overall I haven't heard of it being damaging. However if you're still concerned you can use the powder form he shows which is made by Lush and their products are handmade which is usually better for you. However it's more expensive.
Gustavo Adolfo if you're intimidated by ingredients lists because you don't know what the things are, don't read them in the first place. it's not too hard to read those things if you've had organic chemistry in school and look up some stuff you don't know, you'll get a good idea very fast.

I've tried dry shampoo but when I use it, it actually made my hair greasier, pretty much the opposite of what I wanted but maybe it was the kind of dry shampoo I used

When I wash my hair, it's dry, but when I don't wash it, it's oily. I tried dry shampoo long ago and hated it, but I recently realized that I didn't use it properly, so I might try it again. Someone told me if my hair is dry when I wash it, and oily when I dont, it's because my hair is over processesed. They recommended a moisturizing shampoo. Tried it, and while it did help a little, there wasn't a huge difference. Can you recommend d me any shampoos? Thanks!

I have a good amount of experience using hair loss products/doing research and ARGAN RAIN natural shampoo seems to be a winner so far. Other than stopping the fallout, *argan Rain product* also makes my hair look awesome.
*This company is really reliable. Because When I asked the ingredients, ArganRain company directly sent to me. Also, it is written on their website..*

It pretty much depends on how greasy your hair gets, I usually wash it every other day. You still shower everyday you just don't wash it every time you have a shower. Hope that helped

Usually if I go three days without washing my hair, hair strands stick on to my hands when I style my hair, you don't seem to have that problem.

if you get your hair wet and blow-dry it, you might as well just wash them instead lol
+Browneeentertainment the point is that shampoo is bad for you hair and you shouldn't wash your hair with shampoo everyday... dry shampoo doesn't strip your hair it just removes excess oil for days you don't use regular shampoo

My hair falls out a lot every time I wash my hair due to the fact I dyed and bleached my hair so many times. Now my hair is in the recovery time so I was wondering if the dry shampoo would be a better alternative. Now I wash my hair every 3-4 days. Maybe the dry shampoo in every other day?
I wash my hair every other day, but use product every day. The problem I run into, even washing every other day, is product build-up which ends up weighing my hair down. Haven't quite figured out a way to combat this.

+Will Wonk no because shampoo is basically like soap, while dry shampoo isn't. using shampoo too much will damage your hair as it takes out a lot of natural oils and stuff while dry shampoo just adds stuff to your hair which may also be bad if you never rinse it but you can't overuse dry shampoo as long as you wash it out regularly.
hello Joe, big fan here. I was wondering if you could make a video explaining the differences between a barber shop and a salon for men. which one styles your hair when the haircut is over?
I heard and read that we can replace using dry shampoo with baby powder because both of them have similar ingredients except that baby powder doesn't have that extra fragrance added in. However, I've also read that baby powder usually contains talc which is toxic and could be bad if a large amount gets absorbed by the pores on our head . These are all new information for me, therefore, I would like to know your opinion on this matter.
If using baby powder is a suitable and safe replacement to dry shampoo, then I'll try using baby powder (since I already have that).

you can wash out pretty much everything using only (warm) water. of course you may also just rinse it but shampoo isn't a necessity to get rid of grease. it just makes it a lot easier.

I find your method of applying dry shampoo is more useful then what it says on the bottle.. I have short hair, it seems like it does not work when I do the written instructions. I put it at roots, massage, comb and it's greasy after.

Once you have it in the position that you want it, use hairspray. I use it and it pretty much leaves my hair in the same spot all day. I only retouch it if I have to go somewhere and I don't have time to do my hair all over again .!(:

Hey joe! Just a quick question. Say for example if I were to put on dry shampoo on 2nd or 3rd day hair. Since it strips the excess grease should I or can I fully wash my hair on the same day I applied dried shampoo or is it better to wash your hair the next day? Thanks!

What happens if you just take your regular shampoo and just leave it out to dry ? Would it make a difference to what actually type of dry shampoo you use or create your own ?

huzaifa umar the axe products are actually surprisingly good these days and they're super cheap. I've used them before and most of them work great. I hated the pomade tho, it made my hair feel weird, but all the other ones work really well! TBH I don't notice much of a difference between the $7 Axe hair products and the $20 Hanz de Fuko products, just the ingredients, but as far as I know Axe is fine for your hair
