  • We’ve been self-isolating for about five days so far as Emma's disability is considered high risk during the COVID-19 pandemic. We're doing fine and hope you are too. In this video, we give an update on self-isolating ourselves and what we plan on doing during self-isolation.

    Hello from the U.S.. I am much like you Emma. I am a wheelchair user and at very high risk due to heart failure, and stroke. I'm on day 9 and the walls are closing in. I open the door a lot and sit and enjoy the fresh air. Our shops are bare as well but I have what I need. I spend my time reading, crafting and finally started that 2000 piece puzzle. I agree with you both. Interests are important. I hope you both take this rare time and enjoy each others company. We are praying for you all as well. Keep Smiling.

      Hello Shelly. So good to hear from. That is great you are able to get some fresh air - that is so important and something I aim to do most days too. What are you currently reading? I love jigsaw puzzles. What is the puzzle you are going to work on? Thanks again for taking the time to comment, we appreciate it and hope you keep smiling too :-)

      @@SimplyEmma Hello. I hope your day has been great today. I'm reading, "Lord of Shadows " by Cassandra Clare. It's really an entertaining series. I believe this is the 11th book of the series.
      Oh, the puzzle, lol. Its 2000 pieces and a difficult one. It's a panorama of the Castle Regensburg. The majority of the image is mountains, trees and sky. So you can imagine the challenge. It's great with a cup of coffee.
      Today however, I decided to sew a handbag for shopping. It's made out of jeans I no longer wear. Though I have a lot of fabric at home, i enjoy using what is of no use to me. The Jean's I'm using I wore before the paralysis, so they are too small now. I believe this project will take a few days to complete bc there are a lot of pieces to work with. I decided to use a real pretty satin print for the liner. We shall see how it turns out.
      So what about you? What have you been up to?

    I'm sort of isolating as well. I don't want to risk it with my athsma so I'm just going out when I absolutely need to

    • @SimplyEmma
      @SimplyEmma  4 года назад +1

      That's definitely the most sensible thing to do. It's not worth the risk - you are doing the right thing. I hope you are keeping well Archie :-)

    Hey, thanks for the video! I'm going to self-isolation with my parents today, lucky me and my mom like being home. When this is all over I would like to come to Scotland, Do you think it would be really challenging with a disability?

    • @SimplyEmma
      @SimplyEmma  4 года назад +1

      Hi Casey. Thanks for your message. Scotland is a great place to visit. I live in Scotland and don't find it a challenge. Where in Scotland are you thinking of visiting in Scotland? I hope your self-isolation goes well and you have everything you need :-)

    I don't see the need for panic buying as online shopping isn't closing anyway. Ocado has now shut till Saturday due to panic shoppers! They can deliver food at your door and keep out the way anyway then you could disinfect everything IF selfish gits hadn't took all the cleaning supplies. lol
    I have noticed people looking at me more than usual. Not sure if it concern for me OR they think I'm infected. Fully stayed in from Monday...I went out Sunday to get cleaning wipes and I still have helpers coming in.
    I have ME so I am used to spending a LOT of time indoors but knowing I can't leave is worse. haha

    • @SimplyEmma

      We completely agree - it's getting ridiculous the amount of panic buying that is going on. Our local shops literally have nothing left. It's awful.
      I think so many people are going to be looking at each other and trying to work out if they have the virus or not. Crazy times!
      I hope you are keeping well though. We can totally do this. Message anytime :-)
