As a Hornets fan appreciate you giving us a winner grade. Many do not give us the respect because they see the record and issues on a surface level but they never dive deep into what is really going on in charlotte. Despite the health issues we had we were a top 5 team in DEF rating last year and not enough people give the developmental staff in CLT enough credit or didnt look into how good of a rookie year mark williams had. As long as miller shoots at a good clip in the league and gives effort with miles coming back more than likely and PJ if we have a healthy roster were going to shock alot of people.
I'm not comfortable giving props but this was the best draft recap I've watched. Be interesting to see one on Undrafted Free Agents because my Sixers got a couple steals with RIcky Council and Terquavian Smith.
I get my draft knowledge from this channel . For me winners: Spurs, Rockets, Mavericks, Kings (because the Kings opened up cap space ). Lakers, Pacers, Losers: Magic ( for not selecting Grady Dick and also i think they should have selected Cason Wallace over Anthony Black . This draft was insane and the first round took over three hours .
Black has a lot more potential than Wallace. In a vacuum, Wallace's skillset right now is better, but Black is a 6'7 Point Guard, with a decent form on his shot. If he can become even just respectable from there, the league is over. Black, Franz, and Banchero could be unfair.
It really is wild to me that taking a 6'9" guy who can shoot over a little guy who can't is so controversial. If we've learned anything in the past 10 years it's that size and shooting are what wins.
I really did not expect the Raptors to pick Gradey Dick either. I would've thought if they were prioritizing shooting, they'd go Hawkins. But loved the attitude from this kid in interviews. Excited to see him and Scottie next year.
Yeah man. I'm not a Pacers fan, but I think those two picks are just about all you could hope for as a Pacers fan. Both tremendous fits, and both seem like "high character" guys. I'm a Thunder fan, and I've witnessed first-hand how much a good showing at the combine can predict a player's immediate impact. Jalen Williams was picked 12th overall, and pretty much nobody expected him to go that high. Turns out it wasn't a "reach" to take J-Dub with the 12th pick..... and after finishing second in the ROTY voting, he'd probably go top-3 in a re-draft. Sheppard looked REALLY good at the combine, and his interviews were just as impressive. Walker seems like a no-brainer, especially if you buy his shooting, and he drives/cuts to the rim as opposed to taking those floaters. He's way too big, strong, and athletic to be popping floaters instead of dunking on people and putting them through the rim. 😅😅
I think people have the wrong perception of the Raptors. People think we want all 6-9 guys who can guard everyone. In actuality, we want to win another chip. That’s what the FO and coaching staff preach. Gradey is a perfect pick in the short term with his shooting and in the long term if we can help develop his off-the-dribble and in-between games.
my winners are portland, houston, spurs and charlotte. they got great hauls. portland picking scoot, kris, and rupert is a great trio. spurs got wemby and sidy. huston got 2 top 6 talents. charlotte got miller, nick smith, and james nnaji
@@Wrestle_Kingdom Idk if you watched UConn this year but he has incredibly high feel and is not phased by teams sagging off of him. In the open floor he has that Draymond sense for finding trailing shooters and in the halfcourt he is very good in the PnR. He's a steal for sure. Undoubtedly a first round talent
@@claudioclini5380 don’t get me wrong I’m very high on Andre but idk how he be good in the bucks style of play I think a team like Denver can use his skill set Better, the buck offense is more one dimensional and slow that why I said I don’t think his offense would be good due to how the bucks play teams like the nuggets, kings, pacers would use his skill set better
@@Wrestle_Kingdom Idk why you think the Bucks play slow when they were top-10 in Pace. He can do a ton of things offensively that only Jrue and Jevon are doing for them rn. PnR in the halfcourt and being another rebound and push guy instead of only Giannis
Utah replaced Clarkson, Gay and Olynyk in 1 night. Definitely the biggest winners. Houston picking up Whitmore was great but it might mean less minutes for Eason and Kenyon Martin who all 3 mostly have similar game styles
Didn't think there were many losers in this draft. The magic's picks were a little questionable but I can see the rationale. I think this is just a sign that teams are getting a lot better at drafting than they used to be.
Gradey was perfect for the Raptors. He's 6'8", gritty and he can shoot. Make him the back-up SG and you can have a very tall roster. Orlando did well, especially if a healthy Jett is much better. Houston had a beast draft.
@@akuplease3298 I agree unless he was as hurt as his father said. Then he could play much better. A lot of pressure on that boy because Gradey is going to be good.
Oh come on you got to love the Marcus sasser pick for Detroit he's going to be a dog off the bench and may end up winning a starting job in the future he's definitely going to be one of the top 3-point shooters/3-point shot makers in the league he is a bucket from behind the arc.
Besides the Spurs obviously can’t knock what the Rockets did! Are we sure Amen Thompson shouldn’t have gone #2 ? Am I off my rocker? But yeah we’ll see how it goes!
The only duo that comes to mind to compare to Jalen Green and Amen Thompson would be T-Mac and Vince Carter. But I think T-Mac is the least athletic but by the smallest margin
Other teams were in talks with the Pacers to trade up and get him before the Wizards. Wiz got their guy, Pacers got 2 picks and the guy they originally wanted. 2 second rounders is nothing since they have a million from the Beal trade anyway. They also got 2 more second rounders from a later trade in the night.
Why are teams so quick to downplay Keyonte George’s inefficient shooting but not Emoni Bates? Sure Emoni played against lower competition, but when watching his highlights it seemed like he was still taking more difficult shots than Keyonte, and Emoni (.528) finished with a higher true shooting percentage than Keyonte (.524). Furthermore, Emoni is younger than Keyonte by a few months.
They picked a guy that they've been mocked to select for the past two months. Their roster manipulation to get off Bertans was cool but that's separate from draft grades. You're the casual for thinking that that was anything special
Keep up the hard work bro! You put in way more effort than a lot of these other RUclipsrs. Eventually someone will notice!
it's crazy that he has "only" 46k subs, his work is absolutely amazing
People have noticed lol. He was just on arguably the best basketball podcast in the world
Great pick for the Raptors. They desperately needed shooting and Gradey addresses that.
Can’t wait to hear more of your thoughts on the Pacers getting Walker and Sheppard

Black is better than Wallace

The Jazz did a great job with the draft. Definitely one of the winners of this draft!
gradey already a top 5 personality in the league

Thank You - People are crazy 🤪 💯
I don’t get it either 😂😂 miller 6’9 jumper is automatic can handle the ball silky smooth and next to lamello at 6’8 that’s a big backcourt
You’re very knowledgeable about the game bro! How did you accumulate this insight?
Jazz, Rockets, and Spurs are my 3 biggest winners.
I was looking for a recap. That was fantastic! Thank you
Is the Coulibaly Scouting Report still coming? And also keep up the great work man. Your bids are top notch my guy

Scottie finally got his MJ.
Dick is the best shooter in the draft.
Idk how you don’t have more subs tbh. I come here for quality draft info before anywhere else.
Love the player ways instrumental at the end
Happy to see you grow brother keep it up man proud of you dawg
Elite level content!
Appreciate all that you do.
T mac and Vince early on in their careers were the most athletic combo teammate guards ever

One pick that wasn't mentioned that I really like was Andre Jackson Jr to the Bucks. I think he could contribute right away for them

Young bradley beal and john wall id argue were probably the most athletic in recent history also magic johnson and micheal cooper
What’s your opinion on Ben Sheppard to the Pacers at 26?
Thunder are sneaky winners imo
What di you think of the uornets taking miller and so many other guards like jones bailey

Baron Davis, and Josh Richardson are the only other backcourt I think that may be able to contest Amen and J G
Jason, but yea that’s a good one
B Diddy and J Rich would body bag Thompson and Green they were built like grown men in high school.
What’s the spread for Emoni Bates winning Summer League MVP? I need to make that bet.

i only clicked on this video because gradey dick was in the thumbnail
How can you not include the Mavericks as Winners or Steals of the draft?
The gradey pick was wack, they need a pg and they passed up on bufkin that’s ridiculous to me
Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady was more athletic than Amen Thompson and Jalen Green
