Phil at his incredible best - the fitness required to belt the skins like this for the whole song is epic, as is the rest of this magnificent live rock song. Never be another AC/DC......
No other guitarist can dare say they put more effort into putting on a legenday show than Angus Young! Sure, he may not be the most technical guitarist on the planet, but he put his entire body and soul into every note he played for 50 years and that is beyond what most guitarists have ever done in their careers. He put it all out there every night and made sure every audience member got their money's worth! The guy is a living legend!
Wish ACDC would release a dvd of this entire concert, in their absolute prime with Brian as singer. By the time they released the Donington 1991 video, Brian's voice was shot and there was no Phil. Nothing against Chris Slade who is a fantastic drummer, but the songs sound so much better in their original style with Phil on drums. This is Brian era ACDC at it's absolute best.
Phil 'Metronome' Rudd smashing the skins with the other two in the rythmn section are magnificent as they always were. Angus is in a league of his own - no athletes perform like he has for 50 years now. Love it!
The French Concert '79 is the best live version I've heard so far - always hated this already longer than most classic rocks get that additional 10 minute solo treatment.
Mi canción favorita de ACDC, amo esta presentación 😎 Cliff, Malcolm y Phil (ademas de Angus por supuesto) desbocados otro nivel🔥🔥estaban como poseidos🤣🤣
Was at this concert both nights. We were in the 6th and 7th rows after a friend of ours saved us tickets at ticket master. Could not hear well for over a week.
In the beginning Back in 1955 Man didn't know 'bout a rock 'n' roll show And all that jive The white man had the schmaltz The black man had the blues No one knew what they was gonna do But Tschaikovsky had the news, he said Let there be light, and there was light Let there be sound, and there was sound Let there be drums, there was drums Let there be guitar, there was guitar Oh, let there be rock! And it came to pass That rock 'n' roll was born All across the land every rockin' band Was blowin' up a storm And the guitar man got famous The business man got rich And in every bar there was a superstar With a seven year itch There was fifteen million fingers Learnin' how to play And you could hear the fingers pickin' And this is what they had to say Let there be light, sound, drums, guitar Oh, let there be rock! One night in a club called the Shakin' Hand There was a 42 decibel rockin' band And the music was good and the music was loud And the singer turned and he said to the crowd: "Let there be rock"
Me imagino un dueto de Brian y Bon, sonaría brutal, una de mis canciones favoritas por toda la energía que el grupo y ambos cantantes le ponen a esta canción
he's not, but he's adding some alternate double stroke on his hi-hat pattern which you can see if you slow down the bits where you can see him so it can kinda fool you, but this isn't actually "fast" on the drums or anything
Not a chance mate look on this vid the energy the power how fast he's drumming Phil Rudd is DC not another drummer can or would ever b able take his place

Phil Rudd an absolute machine.
You don’t see much of Cliff in this video, but he, along with Phil absolutely drive this song
phil was absolutely possessed. what a drummer.

No words can adequately describe the ENERGY and POWER of this performance. No wonder no band in their right minds would WANT to follow this...
No shit even VAN HALEN opened up for AC/DC in 84
There is only one Angus Young. He’s not like any other guitar player. He can’t be compared. He is his own thing.
Phil 'Metronome' Rudd smashing the skins with the other two in the rythmn section are magnificent as they always were. Angus is in a league of his own - no athletes perform like he has for 50 years now. Love it!
Best Brian era version of this song. Phil Rudd is amazing keeping that tempo throughout, not missing a beat.
Nothing beats the original but this is the best ever version of this song with Brian. Phil is awesome here and Brian's voice is great.
The French Concert '79 is the best live version I've heard so far - always hated this already longer than most classic rocks get that additional 10 minute solo treatment.
The best version with Brian Johnson.😮😅
Holy shit, what a resolution, it doesn't even seem like this was in 81, I feel like I'm inside
Phil going mental on the drums and Angus going mental on guitar is just beyond amazing
Beyond
Brian Johnson was the best replacement after Bon Scott died, Bon would of been so proud that they continued and make some kick ass Rock N Roll 🤘🏻
Agree 100 percent though I do believe KROKUS n NAZARETH singers would do AC/DC justice too
Agreed man
Brian Johnson was full of energy during the early to mid 80s.
This is AC/DC at the height of their powers.
These were rock athletes not just musicians..
No doubt- Angus was exhausted by the time he got back to the stage to finish the solo break!
Phill went crazy on the drums at that time. Such a legend
Angus is a fuckin animal!!😂 love that guy! But also, just listen to those three guys in the back holding that beat down, just amazing 🤩
Phil playing like a coked-up metronome makes this perfect.
Hours before the show Phil was overheard saying ...I HAVE TO HAND IT TO YOU MR SOSA
In my next life I will be reborn as the snare drum from Phil Rudd during "Let there be Rock" live!
I, too, LOVE that drum sound. And those 2 snares were Gretsch
Great performance! Wow!
The skills of amazing musicians and the energy of elite athletes.
What a combination!
RAW ENERGY.
BEST VERSION EVER
🎸🔊 💪 🤘
Praying Phil Rudd comes back to do the rest of the Power Up tour 2024/2025.🙏🙏🙏
Was this song hardest for Angus? I say no. Hardest for Phil. We drummers gotta keep time. Guitarists can have freedom in their leads and solos
Phil is a machine 😎
Phil got paid well don't worry
Would not want to arm wrestle Phil! ( cough ) Or Brian for that matter 😏
Agreed
Angus always solos r easy
This is not an Angus song. This is a phil rudd song
Phil going mental here
Phil Rudd, the rock'n'roll machine !
Yeah thats pure Energy
Angus young: let’s play this song at 180 bpm
Phil Rudd: ok 300 bpm it is
What it’s bpm?
@@liveshowsandsongsbackupchannel beats per measure. AC/DC typically plays 4/4, or 4 beats in a 4-beat measure
Ok
LMAO RIGHT
Anyone know exactly how much Bpm this is?
The definitive version, everyone firing on all cylinders.
I love this thing. They played it faster than previous 78' or 79' versions with Bon Scott. This one is so powerfull!
i like this song better when brian sings it i perfer him over bon bon was ok
This is, hands down, the best AC⚡DC video I've ever seen.
Best ever version I’ve heard dc where at there peak here
Hard fast and loud as always ⚡️⚡️⚡️
Mi canción favorita de ACDC, amo esta presentación 😎 Cliff, Malcolm y Phil (ademas de Angus por supuesto) desbocados otro nivel🔥🔥estaban como poseidos🤣🤣
Phil is a locomotive !
Que bestialidad la de Phil ⚡

Very good of your chum to save tickets for both nights, solid folk.
@@Fester_ Friends could do that back then unlike today.
If not ... ''THE BEST VERSION EVER'' ? 🎸🤘
Its a bit fast if you ask me.
@@gergokerti2362
I agree Mate. But thats what makes this one stand out ... The pure Drive & Energy 🤘💃💃🤘
@@gergokerti2362 you make it sound like it’s a bad thing

That's a quick tempo version! \m/
The BEST version of this song.
Bon Scott just gave you the MR SPOCK eyebrow!!
Was in Glasgow April 30, 1978
This one is impressive for sure
Nod for Bon n Brian
Just superb
Acdc Phil Rudd the drum 🥁 machine boys rockin Australians number one band
Uma verdadeira ENTREGA, de uma verdadeira banda.
A molecada tem muuuuito o que aprender com esses caras ainda
AC/DC doesn’t get enough credit for being great story tellers in their songs.
The Bon Scott years had great song writing
Amazing version! 😳🤘
Go Phil😍😍😍
Incrível a sincronia da banda
Thank you so much for uploading this
Mom Dad, what’s rock n roll? Oh honey it’s real simple
Watch this, done
Absolute Precision
Phil "Machine" Rudd
Phil rudd is a monster
He was doing a lot of cocaine around this time
Fastest version I have heard.
ruclips.net/video/7lsH-JZ73nY/видео.html fastest version ever is probably in this show, but could be wrong
@@musicfan1086 Still Love this version ruclips.net/video/s3nEAmt5AZ8/видео.html

Brilliant.
Angus Young was my hero in my childhood 🎉🎉🎉

To my fellow drummers, is it just me or is Phil playing straight eighth notes in this?

Ok... Phil Rudd is a good drummer but, Chris Slade is far more better.
Not a chance mate look on this vid the energy the power how fast he's drumming Phil Rudd is DC not another drummer can or would ever b able take his place
Slades a good drummer but IMO they sped the songs up too fast with him. This video is the epitome of why Rudd is the prefect drummer for this band.
You're not a drummer, right?
Chris is good, but he's no Phil.
Not for ACDC.
A Life is only a Life with AC/DC.
Bon Scott was the best singer for AC/DC not even close
Brian Johnson is terrific as well.Back in Black is their best album.
Stop it. Stop comparing the two. Both legends.
I like em both but stop comparing Mozart to Beethoven. They're both awesome
Brian>bon
