    I love your tutorials man. I just started playing guitar again back in October 2019 and everything I've learned has been through your channel. Alot of tyler childers and colter wall. I hope you never stop. Thank you.

    Im relatively new to Colters music. Was thinking all day... I wonder if some legend has made a video tutorial so I can learn this incredible song. Makes me happy to be able to play this. Thanks for taking the time to show us what you took time to learn. Cheers, from Ireland

    I just decided to pick guitar back up after 6 years and have found Tyler Childers and Colter Wall to be among the reasons for my desire to get back into it. I stumbled across your channel and I’ll tell you what, I’m very much looking forward to watching your tutorials and learning some of my favorite songs. I’ll be in touch. Thank you.

      I have a lot more Tyler Childers stuff than I do Colter Wall, but those two are definitely among my favorites. Definitely check out the Jason Isbell lessons I’ve done too if you like him, I’ve got quite a few of his uploaded as well

    Hey, Tim! First of all, I'd like to say that your lessons are amazing, and I am very grateful that you are teaching us for free. However, there's one thing that prevents me from learning your lessons, and that is the strumming pattern. I never seem to get that mixture between strumming and picking that you do; could you explain?

    • @kyleralexis8974
      @kyleralexis8974 10 месяцев назад

      I recommend you learn the open chords and then add the riffs/picking I feel your comment here I’ve been watching Tim for awhile great at breaking down the chords and riffs but he’s a little more strumming would help!

    do you have anything bout colter walls right hand technique. seems like he does a a alternating thumb with down strumming with index but then plucking out notes with 3rd/4th finger sometimes..confusing

    • @TimGuitarLessons
      @TimGuitarLessons  6 лет назад

      I honestly haven't looked at his technique enough to really dissect it, but you're right in that it is unique. It's the type of thing that has a lot of feel to it rather than technicality.

    I'm a pretty new guitar player. Any tips on how to hold your strumming hand? And how would you strum this song? Thanks!

    • @TimGuitarLessons
      @TimGuitarLessons  4 года назад +1

      Hey Brady, I hold my strumming hand at the back of the soundhole of the guitar. I usually have my forearm in solid contact with the top of the guitar almost anchoring my forearm to the guitar with my wrist and hand hovering over the strings. In terms of strumming, it should be pretty easy to pick up. I mention the strumming technique at 5:12. It's basically just alternating down with thumb and then down with the back of your first and second fingers.

    I have a message that I’m sharing where I can, some may not want to hear this, but I ask that we stay polite and seek truth together. 😊
    .....
    Love is an action. Feed the hungry, house the homeless, father the orphan, and protect the defenseless and vulnerable.
    Read the Word for yourself, not only relying on others for guidance. Pray for guidance.Yahushua/Yeshua - His Hebrew name who is usually called (Jesus) taught to keep the whole Word. Including the Law/Torah. Matthew 5:17 “Do not presume that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill. 18 For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not [g]the smallest letter or stroke of a letter shall pass from the Law, until all is accomplished! 19 Therefore, whoever nullifies one of the least of these commandments, and teaches [h]others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever [i]keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven." Read 1 John. John tells us that sin is lawlessness, and that we must keep the commandments. Trust in the atonement of Yahushua/Yeshua who is usually called Jesus, and keep God (YHWH)'s whole Word/commandments. Revelation 12:17 So the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went off to make war with the rest of her children, who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus. Revelation 14:12 Here is the perseverance of the saints who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus. Go to parableofthevineyard youtube channel for information about the bible and good bible studies. I'm in no way paid or sent by him for advertising. I just have learned a lot from his content. He's just a man who is trying to learn as well. :) Yeshua died so we may be resurrected to eternal life....
