Puerto Rico has its own Olympic team, as do the other U.S. territories (American Samoa, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands). The track at the Ponce stadium retracts under the turf during baseball season, which in Puerto Rico is in winter.
No they don't 😂 Argentinian immigrants named the club after River Plate but there is no actual agreement. Either way that team doesn't exist since like 10 years ago. Now the team that plays there is Club Atletico San Juan known as San Juan FC since 2011 @@luisenriquepadilla6422
Thank you for showcasing some of the stadiums of Puerto Rico, but you Missed covering a big one, El Palacio de Recreación y Deportes in the City of Mayagüez. One of the most important ones of the Archipelago/Island.
During their last few years of existence as the Expos, The team actually did split their home schedule between Olympic Stadium in Montreal and Hiram Bithorn in Puerto Rico
Note that it's Roberto Clemente Walker. What people may not realize that Roberto Clemente's last name is Walker. The indoor arena named after the same ⚾ legend, as the narrator said, was named after him, about a year after his death.
@@Hogtownboy1 "Latin America" does not have precise borders. I understand that some people don't count the Caribbean, but the people of Puerto Rico consider themselves part of Latin America, and that's enough for me.
Latin American countries are those that speak Spanish or Portuguese and are located in AMERICA (which the Caribbean is part of) so clearly Puerto Rico, Cuba and Dominican Republic are Latin American
Puerto Rico definitely counts as Latin America.

I had no idea that Puerto Rico had so many stadiums and arenas. Even if they are all pretty small. lol
Why El Palacio de Recreación y Deportes de Mayagüez wasn’t mention. We saw some of the best concerts there and skating events.
I second that! Should've been covered in this video. I can't believe it wasn't covered, been one of the most important venues of Puerto Rico.
Estadio Roberto Clemente looks really nice. Top jokes again, Wide World of Stadiums is reaching peak form.

I love the variety of shapes, and uses here. Very much a mix of Latin culture with a topping of American style!
The BAYAMON stadium was used by the BAYAMON COWBOYS of the PUERTO RICAN WINTER LEAGUE.
Puerto Rico would probably get an MLB yeah before they'd get an NBA team

Puerto Rico Usa🇵🇷❤️🇺🇸
Enjoyable. No PR is not in Latin America. It is like Cuba a Caribbean island
The Caribbean is part of Latin America. ✌️
@@sagittated no it is not. Most of the islands are English. Just speaking Spanish does not make it Latin America.
