- At busy junctions, simple traffic lights may not be sufficient to allow maximum traffic flow. More complex traffic light systems allow vehicles and pedestrians to move through junctions safely, often paving the way to a clear route across the junction.
This video demonstrates how these junctions work, and how you as a driver should negotiate them.
Excellent
Nice video! Can I turn right on a GREEN light if it is safe to do so even if the filter arrow (to the right) is not ON?
Yes. A green (circle) light means you can go in any direction. You do not need to specifically wait for an arrow.
@@InclusiveDriving Thank you
@@techcues3931 If the filter arrow isn't on but the normal green one is, you will have to stop in the middle to give way then go when it's safe
I wish I had seen this before my test today. I got a serious fault for not going when the light was green because I was waiting for the right arrow. I had already failed on parallel parking though.
It looks like the lane directions are backwards.
What time? I'll have a look...
What’s with the American robotic voice?
I did this video before I was brave enough to do my own voice-over. So I paid someone else to do it, and it turned out to be someone from California!
I do my own voice-overs now 😆
Exactly. This diagram shows wrong-side driving - inappropriate for traffic on Earth.
