RIP SHINY MIMIKYU 2017-2017. But he did find another one so its all good. :3
tbh thats kinda impressive how you literally got it in a pokeball, but i have done the same thing, in omega ruby i decided to catch my rayquaza in a premier ball (same catch rate as pokeball just looks nicer)
for some reason, i never catch legendarys with ultra balls no matter how much i try, i am always better off with pokeballs somehow, all my legendarys are in a master ball or a pokeball
Back when I was a kid my first shiny was a Poochyena I did end up catching it and even evolved it to a Mightyena! I was so happy so I showed it off to my friend. Who then told me that if I didn't release them that it may destory my game file because it was a glitch.... I wish I hadn't listened to them.
Truly sad story: - Shiny Roselia in Diamond (my first i can remember) - Try to weaken before catching - Crit - One-hit KO I still think about it, that stupid shiny 10 years ago
When I first played Pokémon Sword, I thought “Release” meant taking it out of the poke ball. When I tried, I found myself crying. I instantly restarted from last save and kept my Raboot. I almost got a heart attack.
I didn’t know how to find the HM Flash is gen 1, so I was stuck in the dark cave to Lavender Town for a month. When I left the cave my Pokemon we’re all level 40s
a true trainer does this. its great for funny moments too. i haven't done this but if the games online feature allows every trainer to walk around together in different servers then it would be funny if a friend sees you go into a cave then come back with all your pokemon buffed out and then you saying "my training is complete".
Lol that is funny but the game had to be so easy /why did you not go to a guid book and what gamewas it Red,Blue,Yellow or Fire Red or Leaf Green? I don’t mean to be harsh maby u were 8 years old or it was your fist game it is a mistake
In Pokémon red and blue a masterball doesnt have to be rare... And since my pokemon red game was already bugged out because my charizard was one hitting everything at level 50 and i mean everything when i say that elite 4 the legendaries ect.... So i did the glitch and made like a gazillion masterballs
It may be stupid sometimes, but I use my master ball on the box legendary. This way my master ball gets put to use, and it isn't a completely stupid way to use it.

I used my ORAS one on Deoxys after failing once and realizing I had to catch mega rayquaza again to redo the encounter.
My first ever Diamond play, i only train my starter, faint all trainer pokemon with Infernape.... And then come the Elite 4 Bertha, and she absolutely destroy me with earthquake And the funny thing is When it's the time to face Cynthia, Her Garchomp did the same, and i let out my lvl 48 Dialga and one shot it with Roar of Time..... What a F-in Legend 😂
My first ever play through I thought tail whip did...But I also only used attacking moves...completely ignored all nonattacking moves because whats the point.
I litterally treated all non attacking moves in the equavilent of splash...I fidnt realize as a kid that non attacking moves actually served a purpose.

My biggest mistakes were -replacing Slowpoke’s Yawn with Dreameater. (I didn’t realize Dreameater only worked if a pokemon was already asleep, ie, needing a sleep-causing move) -letting Umbreon evolve organically my first time attempting to raise one. Worse than a luxury’s catch rate I swear.) Like. If Umbreon actually has its Dark Type moves? Then it’s a decent pokemon! But it is so tedious for me to make sure it stays within that very narrow bracket -deleting a pokemon’s Signature Move shortly after catching it
I didnt know how to save the game so I played halfway through twice and finally asked my friend how to save. He laughed at me and showed me how. I saved before I battled the champion but on the plane ride back the screen broke ( I still have no idea how) and I could only see half the screen. We then moved and my 3ds got lost somewhere in a storage box along with the Sun game. Thank you if you actually read this.
I played pokepark 2, i knew how to save but my wii crashed. It worked afterwards but i haven't saved in a long time..... And here it goes I am going to do all of this again
I feel your pain Mikey. In my first play through in Pokémon Shield, I accidentally killed the first wild random shiny I ever encountered: a shiny Snorunt. I didn’t know whether it was a shiny or not and ended up accidentally killing it. Now, in Pokémon Legends Arceus, I’m trying to catch a shiny Snorunt so I can transfer it to Pokémon home and then in Pokémon Shield.
In my 1st game when i ran into a high level onix, i ran out of pokeballs.....i wanted that onix so bad that i decided to use master ball on it never knowing legendaries exist in the game... *Biggest mistake i have ever made in a game At that time i thought onix was super strong😬

As a kid in red version I could not figure out how items worked. Why full heal didn’t FULLY HEAL a Pokémons hp or full restore not restoring a fainted Pokémon. Took a while to realize revive is what I was looking for.
My biggest mistake was using my first Master ball on a female Eevee... I read on Bulbapedia that the male is more common. Looking back at it it's kind of funny now haha! :)
Both my cousin and I definitely did the over leveling your starter in our first games FR/LG. my cousin couldn’t get through rock tunnel and had a level 68 charizard and 3 gym badges, I had a level 91 blastoise by the time I got out of victory road while the rest of our Pokémon wound up being significantly lower levels, fast forward when we met up for thanksgiving and he beat the game entirely except he never got a bicycle or touched cycling road
When I was about 7 and pretty new to the franchise, my dad had bought me a copy of Pokémon Ultra Sun. (yes I'm a pre-teen now) back then I watched a bit of MandJTV, but mostly I watched poketips. Poketips would not really give actual tips, instead he would talk about glitches in the game. These glitches would help you find shines and that sort of thing. But 99% of the time they needed hacking multiple systems which I did not have, which really got my spirits down as a 7-year-old. (He's also the guy that made me believe the premier ball was better than the master ball for a period of time) So imagine my excitement when I sent out Zory the Zorua and out came Makit the Makuhita. I git thought it was a glitch. Nope. Just his ability.
I remember when I was younger I ran from a shiny growlith because I didn’t know what it was and I already had a growlith lol. When I found out I wanted to go back in time and slap my self
I’ve done a lot of these, I’m still a Pokémon noob honestly but the one I remember most is spending weeks maybe even months in the safari zone in emerald bc I thought that was how you completed your Pokédex. Frustrated the hell out of me that I couldn’t catch a squirtle lol.
when i played pokemon black ii only trained with the starter pokemon and it was level 75 so when it fainted near end game i had level 12 pokemon in my party and lost instantly
I have 3 mistakes, they were all in pokemon x, the first one was when npcs said that they were workoing on the bridge because of durants, I thought i actually had to wait real life time, so I waited over a year not knowing i had to stop lysandre and team flare. The second one was using a master ball on a haunter because i thought it looked cool. I also didnt know gengar was a trade evo, so i leveled it up all the way to level 100 before i knew LOL
When I was playing emerald I was going around looking for a Ralts, whenever I didn’t find on I spammed Run, ended up getting a shiny Wurmple. Pressed Run.😞
It’s okay I had that problem too once on the second island I knew how to save but accidentally forgot and had to go back to the bridge and work my way back to island 2 of alola
Before the video even begins I'm just gonna say my two biggest mistakes were: 1. Not realizing the PC existed. My very first time playing Pokémon, Soul Silver, got myself a full team before the first gym. And then it was time to get the Togepi egg from that one guy at the PokeMart. I didn't know how to take Pokémon out of your party so I was stuck and reset my game lmao. 2. More of just being unprepared rather than a mistake, but first shiny was a Geodude. I was Post-Game with high level Pokémon. Realized that, hey! I have a Machop around the same level! Just had to weaken it a little! Did NOT realize I could have just thrown an Ultra Ball without damaging it. Machop only had Fighting type moves at the level it was at. Geodude sadly fainted, not from an Explosion, but because I didn't think
first of all, i cried when i read ur no 1. i did the same thing, all i have however was starter, legendary and some randoms, when i found shiny gyayrados i cried
7:55 my cousin once deleted all my progress in soul silver and started his own journey. I was mad, but I didn’t restart again because he beat Whitney and I didn’t want to have to do that again, so my save file says ian.
I just use the moves that are popular like flamethrower, earthquake and hydro pump. Like fighting a starmie using a manectric, use flamethrower or spark. I would choose flamethrower for accident
Not as bad as resetting with a zeraora on ur team after grinding it to 100. Speaking from personal experience. Lol really I just wanted to see if the mystery gift already accepted was linked to that ds profile or just the save file in general...it was the save file 😰😅
As a corollary to #9, there is 'Not Understanding that STAB is a thing'. I'm pretty sure my young self didn't know or notice that Pokemon would get bonus damage for using attacks of the same type as them. Also, I didn't really get Attack/Special Attack stuff. Probably because I started in Gen 1 and they didn't separate those stats until later, so I didn't really notice or comprehend that Special and Physical attacks were important distinctions. I just looked at the base power numbers. I didn't really do anything else too egregious. The worst thing I ever used my Masterball on was Zapdos, and I learned shortly afterwards that it was (I think) the easiest Legendary Bird to catch, and regretted it. As an aside: I absolutely detest the 1 Save File limit on the games.
I did that for number 1. I had Pokemon Black and I had so many Pokemon you couldn't get and I had a Pokemon White 2 and the same thing happened. I had Raikou and Suicune and Kanto starters. I was so stupid. I had an Electivire named Motor X. He was the best Electivire ever One 👍 for one RIP Motor X
In my first game, Pokémon black, I couldn’t find cut so I leveled my oshawott to a Dewott all the way to level 23. I’m actually impressed I didn’t get bored!
I’m so glad I’ve only made two of those mistakes… For the curious, those mistakes were #10, using only the starter, and #9, teaching a Pokémon multiple moves of the same type. My sister did accidentally release a Pokémon, but fortunately, she immediately realized what she’d done and reset, getting the Pokémon back.
I traded a level 100 shiny Rayquaza I got from a guy called MeanGengar, with the Rayquaza having the perfect name for my matter, For a shiny Crustle because I wanted one and was tired of trying to find one myself because my game was taunting me with different shinies and Crustle that are NOT shiny
I have only done the overlevelling one, and that was because i got stuck on Cynthia in BDSP, and i only overlevelled 1-4 levels Still difficult battle though Also the reason i didnt do any of these mistakes was because i got into Pokemon games before i got my first game (Sword), so i had already planned out a team with type coverage
My biggest mistake when I was young and a noob. Tested a masterball on tentacool but promised myself not to saved. 10 minutes later found Entei and caught it 😑I decided to save
Hey, man. Entei's hard to catch in GSC. I'd treasure catching it with normal Pokeballs over a Master Ball. Good job on that. I've never once caught the Legendary Doggos in either GS or HGSS(not counting Suicunel
You know the drill A drill is maching used in construction work and to fix some screws or nails in the walls it works on electricity and is very heavy That's it what else would you thought
Personally, I've never had problems with over-levelling my Pokémon. I'd be sure to swap them out as I went, so that my main squad would be about even keel. I preferred being able to annihilate any obstacles as they came.
My friend was looking for a mightyena in Emerald to beat the psychic gym. She happened upon a shiny one! Thankfully, she wasn't and idiot and was like, 'Hold up, is that a shiny?' She got it down to one health. And then. Roar.
I had a copy of Soul Silver with an event Celebi and Raikou, a shiny Ghastly, and shiny Scyther. I didn't know what shinies were, or that events were one time things, so I deleted that file without a thought when I started my second playthrough.
Fun fact:A few days ago I made mistake 3, in my dream I was like, dreaming I was in a pokemon game while talking to my best friend (since I was IN the game, maybe it was over headset?), and I found a shiny octopus pokemon (Maybe a tentacruel?), and I threw a master ball at it, and based on how my voice went, I now assume I intended to throw a quick/ultra ball
KingRedbelt me.my infernape is level 57 yay Infernape. Dude the rest of your team is level 29 and below Elite four. Nooooooooobbbbb Me when I rage. God darn it
I just imagine people releasing pokemon, when they thought that it would just release the pokemon out of the ball and have it follow you like in Yellow, HGSS, and Lets go...
alternative to escape rope, have a handy pokemon with you that knows dig, my garchomp in platinum, infinate way to escape from caves saving pokedollers in the first place
For ages I never thought that when you ‘black out’ and get transported to outside the Pokemon Centre that your Pokemon were automatically healed . I kept walking back into the Pokemon Centre and re-healed like an idiot 😂
10:17 I once reset my game because I found a shiny while I was training my Pokémon near the start of the game. This happened twice. I had no Poké balls to catch it.
i had a lvl 93 blastoise in pokemon y and a shiny (that one that u trade with karrablast and it evolve) but me at 10 years old decide to restart the game
I think the closest I've gotten to one of these is resetting my first ever file to play the game again. I didn't have any other Pokemon games until a year or two later and I really liked it so I just kept resetting and beating X. I'm honestly not too mad about it, although I do miss fire pup the Fennekin. Rest in peace, fire pup. Rest in peace.
When I was a stupid kid playing Pokemon Red I master balled a Fearow on victory road because it's sprite looked like the golden bird ash sees in the early anime and I had never encountered one during normal gameplay.... a mistake still burned into my brain over 20 years later
I made alot of mistakes when I first played pokemon. I used fighting type moves on ghost and psychic pokemon, I gave my pokemon both hyperbeam and giga impact thinking the higher the power the better the move, I used my master ball catching a lvl 18 pokemon then releasing it because I realized my mistake and thought I would get the master ball back if I released it.
My first one was platinum and my biggest mistake was I didn't know physical and special move sprites . Therefore I blamed my machoke for not doing lot damage with focus blast .
My biggest mistake is that I went all the way to the 3rd gym then I realized I didn’t know how to save... I did this about 5 times before I found the save button
The only time I ever reset my games is to start over and relive going through the game from beginning to end :P I hope that doesn't qualify as a 'stupid reason' lol
As a kid, I put my Prinplup in the day care, and I had NO IDEA how to get it out, but I saw on the poketch that it was like level 62 (the rest of my team were mid 20s) so I just reset thinking I lost my Empoleon forever :(
Same I used to trade my og team to my brother along with any shinies I may have had then started over, My brother was a nice guy and he immediately gave them back
I also came up with the idea of saving the game all by my own before battling a legendary pokemon back when I played FireRed. And I always thought (and still think) catching a Pokemon in a ball that is not a regular red PokeBall was wierd and made it *TOO* easy. So I caught pokemon and all the legendaries in regular PokeBalls. I caught mewtwo in my first attempt back in FireRed and only used just *three* pokeballs and I believe it to be *extremely* lucky. And I have caught more legendaries under 20 regular pokeball in one attempt.
When I was a kid playing pokemon Blue, someone told me you could use the masterball to catch other trainers pokemons. So of course I tried to use it to catch one of the elite 4's pokemon.
I have only made 1 of these mistakes. When I was 7 years old playing Emerald, I got stuck after the 1st gym and had absolutely no idea what to do next. I didn't want to talk to anyone, so I never ever talked to the old guy with Peeko and just quit the game entirely.
Having multiple attacks of the same type is a good idea. For example, Hydro Pump to get a better first strike, then Surf so you know it will hit and finish the job. Also, Fly is good but you don't always want to wait 2 turns, so for quicker battles Wing Attack or Aerial Ace can be a good backup. Also, a Poison type move which a chance to poison, then switch to Venoshock.
I remember playing sapphire and getting SO frustrated when I couldn’t trigger the event to let you go into the Slateport Museum so I just kept resetting my game and choosing a different starter and different gender of the player character 😭

My biggest mistake was not knowing that you could use great balls, ultra balls, etc. So In Pokémon diamond, my dialga is caught in a pokeball
tbh thats kinda impressive how you literally got it in a pokeball, but i have done the same thing, in omega ruby i decided to catch my rayquaza in a premier ball (same catch rate as pokeball just looks nicer)

I almost saw a kid run from a shiny then I stopped him and told him how rare they were. He was really grateful

When Sun and Moon first came out I didn’t know how to save and thought it was auto save. Let’s just say I had to redo entire islands, and I cried.
It’s okay I had that problem too once on the second island I knew how to save but accidentally forgot and had to go back to the bridge and work my way back to island 2 of alola
In Ultrasun it tells you to go back to your room to read the book. The books tells you how to save
You mean ENTIRE ISLANDS? Idc about losing progress on entire islands but you played through entire islands IN ONE SITTING BRUH GET A LIFE
i once forgot to save after playing for ab 6 hours and had to redo a bunch of the game🥲
Before the video even begins I'm just gonna say my two biggest mistakes were:

I restarted my game because I wanted to figure out how to restart it
As a corollary to #9, there is 'Not Understanding that STAB is a thing'.
He was the best Electivire ever
