This is happened because you are connecting the controller to wrong device , YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW THE GUIDE BOOK ( the Instructions ) , its will tell you how to connect to your android or ios model , there is few buttons and few steps , not only to connect from bluetooth directly , you have to know which number is connecting , I mean the red light ( 4 quarters ) , each quarter for a numner and device model

If they don't work, try the shoulder buttons. If you're on Android, turn on show taps in the developer options before you test it because it helps.
