Use ezyks breath and start the rot right away. Use inescapable frenzy and then just hug him to death. Just spam it. I am the elden cheese lord

He's so close to the start of the dlc so I went in thinking it would be a quick 1 try win. It was not lmao.
Ouch! If you stick with it, I bet you can get him down. He does hit hard, but if he can roll through his hits, I bet you can get it. 👍🏻

He only heals once. Play the long game with this fight and don't get greedy
for easy fight : reliktsword 10+ and Carian talisman for lower fp cost and alexander talisman and blessed blue talisman. come in ...special attack.. knock him down... special attack..knock him down....flask if you need ... special attack and so on.

If you are too close to him while he's doing the vertical slash, you'll most likely get staggered, get hit and lose %90 of your hp. So DON'T ROLL through to him while you're dodging that "vertical arc of moonlight" attack

He’s tough. Even level 263. Still haven’t beaten him yet. Might use the shield.
I’m at 243 and went straight in after getting dlc and lost. I’ve gotten a few blessing so will try him again soon

I had problems with this fight too, until i was so fed up with him that i said f this took the buckler shield and a dagger and just parry crit me through the whole fight xD
I killed him off using my maxxed out Blasphemous blade as it staggers him and you can get 3-4 hits in a row. It took a few goes to learn his patterns and also kept making stupid mistakes.

I noticed that at about 2:14 your damage per hit more than doubles and even after a hit on him, his damage continues to click down slowly, even though he's not being touched. What accounts for this?
Good catch! That's rot from my crystal sword. You can see the rotting "mist" emanating from him as his health ticks down.
