Don't be so quick to judge tourists... Don't be so biased because you love Korea. South Korea is not a perfect country with all flowers, nice people everywhere and All Korean are not like your oppas and unnies from KDrama and Kpop.

I went to Itaewon once and 2 super drunk Korean ladies attacked a Swedish girl when the girl asked them for directions. They scratched her, bit her and pulled her hair. They kept calling her names and telling her to “stay away from our men”.. They were complete strangers to the victim. I waited for the police with the girl and she didn’t stop crying for even a minute during those 10 minutes. It was really sad and scary to see, I’ll never go back (at night).
I prayed that she's fine after that situation and not have any trauma. That can happen anywhere not only to a foreigner so always be cautious especially if you're on vacation. you just never know what will happen to you because of many factors like cultures, language, and many more. What she experiences is the dark side of a cultural differences, jealousy which happens to the minorities.
I feel sorry for the girl and that you had to witness that, but to be honest...saying that you will never go back is due to an incidence that occur coincidentally when you in Itaewon and that certain spot seems abit much. I feel like every country has their own problems and some just have more due to the popularity of the country or city you're visiting. No country in the world is perfect. Again, i hope the girl is fine and i'm disagreeing with you.
The problem is our police is toooo kind and polite.. even if ppl feel to use bathroom or thirsty, they go to the police officer.. they ask to use it. some one has no money, they go there and ask police to borrow money.. 😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬🤬 police is not kindergarten teacher!!!

The cute part was when there was the kid who felt totally fine. That's such a good idea to register their prints.
I’m so glad that there still so many good officers out there, especially in Korea. Like it was such a relief when the two officers still followed a drunk woman when she told not to help her but she fell down two or three times and they were really worried so they decided to stay and help her. I just hope that there will be great officers out there all over the world to help and protect the others~ I’m also happy that the girl officer was there too. She was so cute but really hardworking too.

If you come to Korea, follow Korean law. Conversely, if we go to your country and speak Korean, do you understand? If you don't understand the country, don't cause trouble.
Dont drink till you get this drunk then like a bunch of morons like OP said, be responsible in other peoples country. If you know getting drunk would cause this dont drink that much then
Bless these officers! In my country I highly doubt a police officer would carry a drunk woman and be concerned about her modesty or walk with her until they made sure she was home. It's such a hard job because you have to deal with so many irrational people and they barely get any respect for doing this on, what I'm assuming, isn't a high salary. Bless you all for your hard work!
They would if they were on camera. And just like everywhere else, there are caring people doing that job who would do that even if no one was watching, and those who really have no business being police officers.
@@susu_m Yes but in other places in the world the basic police acadamy training is 2-3yrs, not 18mnths. And if you are deemed not apropriate to work as an officer, it's straight out. Imagine you're a Korean Police Officer, and just being stationed/transferred to Itaewon , your senior probably laid back in the day but when the sun goes down they will be like "Woo boi, here we go again, hey rookie, get your ass on the patrol car and heat the engine, it's going to be crazy"
@Orangepeelqueen Thats because united states is super aggro. The police in the united states has become about suppressing and punishing, as opposed to actually helping people. It’s a result of corruption of the country, a direct result of extreme unchecked capitalism. They privatized jails, so they privatize policemen... it’s about how many people they can punish because they get paid per fine. Also having guns so easily accessible will lead in a fear of people, which leads to more aggression. It’s become a poopy place to live, no longer a country but a marketplace for the rich.
YO is no one gonna talk about how Korea has a Women's Safety Return service?? That shit could save and protect a bunch of Women! More countries need to have this imho
Theres safety zones in the subways too, korea isnt perfect but compared to my home country its a million times better, cant even walk somewhere during the day in my city, they were snatching girls off the street for sex trafficking. In korea i walk around at 4am, theres security cameras everywhere in the street and always people outside, inside is the problem like at clubs etc where people can spike your drinks etc
I think the reason foreigners act out in Korea while drunk is because the drinking culture in Korea is so normalized that seeing drunk people passed out or throwing up in the street is so normal. You would never see this many drunks on a regular day that wasn’t a sporting event or holiday in western countries. It’s so bizarre that this is normal. Props to the Itaewon police handing it like they did.
Nah, they are just being pricks. Stepping an imaginary new borders wont make you super human on anything. They know that as well. But simply dont give a fuck about the country they visit. So simply calling them foreigners is a little sad, not everyone is like that but no can do.
@@LeksDee I was about to say the same thing. All Western countries are not the same. For example, in my Western country people consume pretty exactly a third more alcohol than Americans, and the drinking culture heavily revolves around binging.
I dont think korean culture is the one to blame for foreigners actions. A lot of people from first-world countries when they go to different places they do inappropriate things because they think they will never face the same legal consequences they would face in their own country
This is the type of police work i can get behind with. U.S police are a bit different, they take a oath to serve their community but instead they abuse their power. Im not saying Korean police isnt corrupt in the higher end but that goes for mostly all countries.
Excuse me, if you don't mind me saying why the hell do you all have the audacity to generalize all American cops in such a negative way. As a korean myself I can see many differences in culture and in environment in both Korea and the United States. They are two totally different working environments and said totally different environment require different tactics different protocols. And I bet you guys have just gone on the internet and watched say more than a dozen hey maybe even a thousand clips of police brutality or corruption in America. But tell me, does that number suffice to make the almost 99 percent of officers who are doing their jobs who are actually not bad people? DO YOU GUYS EVER CONSIDER THAT MAYBE THERE ARE ACTUALLY OTHER PEOPLE IN THE WORLD. CAUSE IT SURE AS HELL DOESN'T SEEM LIKE YOU FUCKING DO. Think before you fricking talk.
@@kennethwhite8045 i meant in general according to the foreigners. They are banned from certain ones because of constant random fights, this scene reminded me of it.
well before talking this foreigners fight, Itaewon is kinda unusual place in Seoul. Us military base was in there so Us soldiers who think they can deal with problems by them selves without Korean law or police, and many Koreans who wants to meet up foreigners, and other foreigners are making hella nonsense problems Every week in there. Its kinda Melting pot in Seoul. So much interesting things and problems are making simultaneously. Even Koreans can't decide Itaewon in one word
In USA they see a drunk person no charge this happen to me ones when I was 24 I’m 32 now they keep me safe n got me there till I was not drunk anyone n let me home this is not safe what they do in korean
In my state we put drunks into custody and then send them to the hospital if they are above .2 bac. No charges for just being drunk. When i was younger it was $100 fine, but that was removed about 5 years ago.@@CarlosGonzalez-hu8kx
If I ever go to Korea, I’m staying away from Itaewon and the clubs because the foreigners make us look bad, all I want to go to Korea for is the food and other events anyways. This is ridiculous (I’m not korean, I’m a foreigner(I’m black) )
It's true clubs and bars are always a mess (not necessarily because of foreigners, but generally everyone is always drunk and problematic lol) but I'll suggest walking around Itaewon, enjoy the city, and the food in restaurants is quite good :) The afternoon is best tbh.
I'm 27 and I have never in my life liked drinking or going to the club. seeing this video makes me wonder why some people over drink and put them selfs in these situations
Giiirl me too. I'm 26 and I just hate being in crowded places where people act wild, moreso people are in altered mental status and drunk off their pants, having higher risk of doing dumb dangerous things. Just not my cup of tea.
It happens. Even you're not that drunk yourself. If someone bumps into you that easily can become a fight. I had a guy once who kept shoving his friends into other people. Eventually that will provoke a defensive reaction and they will fight. I agree though that people not drink more than they are capable of holding.
Korean police do not have security activities. In most cases, getting a good night's sleep at a police station or a police car is a task. They are dispatched only through 112 reports.

Thats because united states is super aggro.

What about they secretly filming underskirt videos; cameras on public toilets, changing rooms, hotels?!
Korea is not an example of women's safety!
I remember hearing something about it in a Naver tv special, where a member from Big Bang walked a girl home and talked about it.

@@seilahqlq1 Atleast we don't snatch women off the streets unlike your shitty country.

So simply calling them foreigners is a little sad, not everyone is like that but no can do.
well Friday night in Britain is always bad. but we are glorified alcoholics over here.
i think you're confusing "western countries" with america
@@LeksDee I was about to say the same thing. All Western countries are not the same. For example, in my Western country people consume pretty exactly a third more alcohol than Americans, and the drinking culture heavily revolves around binging.
I dont think korean culture is the one to blame for foreigners actions. A lot of people from first-world countries when they go to different places they do inappropriate things because they think they will never face the same legal consequences they would face in their own country

That's cool that they covered her in a blanket before carrying her out, you don't see that kind of respect in the US (at least that's recorded).
(I’m not korean, I’m a foreigner(I’m black) )
It's true clubs and bars are always a mess (not necessarily because of foreigners, but generally everyone is always drunk and problematic lol) but I'll suggest walking around Itaewon, enjoy the city, and the food in restaurants is quite good :) The afternoon is best tbh.
@@NoNOnope- Yeah you’re right
oh?
Itaewon is amazing, you will miss a lot if you'll avoid going there. and girl, Koreans are troublemakers too. not only the foreigners...
@@NetaBatata I know it’s both sides I just want to avoid trouble
Itaewon is a drunken mess... but damn it can be a lot of fun!

I really enjoyed visiting South Korea. Nice people, great food, interesting sites and great nightlife.
I'm 27 and I have never in my life liked drinking or going to the club. seeing this video makes me wonder why some people over drink and put them selfs in these situations
Cause it’s fun and if you’re responsible enough, it’s fine
It's fun AS HELL,,, bad things happen EVERY--everywhere!
It's called alcoholism.

is this like a korean vers. of Live PD? i'm already adicted to this show
yup correct.
shit i thought this was Hong Kong. I need to get out more. date more Asians.
Korean police do not have security activities.
In most cases, getting a good night's sleep at a police station or a police car is a task.
They are dispatched only through 112 reports.
I'm impressed by that policewoman... 😍

We can't deny the fact that police officers there are all good looking.
thatpeachdan _ they only picked the ones that are good looking and are good at their jobs. Korea likes to do that often.
omg yessss, when the officer was looking at the kid, so cute haha

Only in South Korea, bud.
Only there.

Well this documentary is 4 years old but I moved to that place 3 years ago
Turns out she is my neighbour
Maybe it's just me but it's really refreshing to see cops like this in light uniform like where I'm from in America cops are constantly wearing heavy armor and hold guns maybe cuz I live in the ghetto but idk it's different
dont forget the double p shot gun
In canada they don’t carry weapons for everyday duty but they are heavily armored
nah b cops here is just like that
America's crime rates are much higher than korea's and way more dangerous. The "crimes" in this documentary are so petty and trivial compared to the crap that goes on in America on a daily basis. That's why they're armed with more weapons in America.
Imagine living in Central America with gangs and drug trafficking groups that are armed as an army as well as guerrilla and paramilitary groups that's what I live
If only all police officers cared about their jobs and people as much as these men and woman imagine how amazing the world would be
exactly
also works the other way around
이건... 경찰이 아니라 뒷처리 하는 도시 직원
police officers seems tobe exceptionally nice and helpful, good job!
Imagined being a Korean cop dealing with non-native Koreans that cannot speak slight Korean language. Must be a headache all night.
English is, in my opinion, the common language all over the world, the police in every country should be able to use it
