Is the full version available somewhere?
Available inside the museum only (probably at Chlum nad Cidlinou if I understoond it correctly :)
@@AlesZvolanek I've seen it in the museum in Chlum a week ago. I have to say it's really well done. Would be cool if it was available somewhere online, even for a small fee

You know its really sad that Germany hardly could make their own war movie
In Germany there's no interest in history before the Nazi era. And few German people have any knowledge of it. At least no people I have ever met in my life.
CommodoreFreak wow, so sad
Agent Alfie sorry
The Germans make plenty of war movies. They wouldn't make one about 1866 as 1866 was such an easy victory. It was neither heroic nor grim.
The people of the former Hapsburg Empire would make movies about 1866 because for them 1866 was a grim ordeal, and worse.
Sorry to give away the plot.
CBfrmcardiff I would love to watch them
les Svíb, byl jsem se do toho lesa podívat, je tam zvláštní atmosféra, padlo tam během jednoho dne 5000 vojáků, říká se, že v tom lese ptáci nezpívají
nezpívají

@@paladinsix9285 You are absolutely right in my eyes. I was discussing this, but they do not want to do it.
What is the actual name of this film? Anybody know? I'm trying to locate it on IMDB, with no luck. Thanks.

An Austro prussian war film? POG!!!
Woah, look who's here!
Swiepwald is the historical toponomy.
July looks like winter in this film
I don't know much about the war or the battle but if I understand correctly the Prussians were using breech loading needle rifles whereas the Austrians were using muzzle loaders; small wonder it was a one sided battle.
@Svkagli.py wheres the relevance
@Svkagli.py yeah you only mentioned one thing about what the video is about,
nah the austrians could've won, it wasn't really one sided.
it was not that one-sided, Austrians could have won. The use of breech loading rifles was important, but it was not as decisive as people think, since the lorenz muzzle loaders used by Austrians were much more accurate and had longer range, but this advantage was not utilised, instead they relied on obsolete mass bayonet charges.
@@janicnevim3969Interesting point you bring up but you also suggest why this wasn't utilized, reliance on bayonet charges suggest that they didn't focus on marksmanship which the change in warfare at the time brought about. The Prussians actually sent observers to America during the Civil War where they learned the value of the telegraph and train. They also would have seen the effects of rifled muskets which caused a shift from charges to trenches towards the later half of the war.
In countries where filmmakers dead a lot of Prussia (Germany), the reality is that they themselves lost more than their enemies.
Sieht gut aus
toto je nějaký reupload nebo jste autorem videa : Ondra Martinec ?

ребята,кто вы были против Пруссии!!!!???
sooo this is from the austrian side. honestly i was hopeing for a movie from the german side. (prussian technically but meh)
Technically, Germans were on both sides.
@ lol Austrians so triggered
@@Kriegter If Austrians are triggered from being called Germans before 1945, they don't know their history. They were called Germans even by themselves.
@ Exactly. That's why it's called Deutscher Krieg in German.
It was Germans vs. Germans, indeed. Austria, Bavaria and Saxony (mostly) against Prussia and it's Allies, mostly smaller German States.
proč pouzívate Rakušané,když všichni byli češi kousek od Hradce.
"The Austrian soldier" WRONG They were a Czech regiment that fought bravely!
NeuKrofta U need a history lesson on the multi-ethnicity of the Austrian Empire by 1866, consider on having Hungarians, Croats, Slovaks, and others as well as the Saxon allies. In all, Austria sucks for not being able to win a war against Prussia due to weak leadership and being an isolated Great German power
Tsar Nicholas uhm that's where you are wrong, The Bohemian Crownlands was part of the Empire. "Bohemian" is simply the English word for Czech so don't even try that "Czechs didn't exist" BS.
The Army was broken up into different classifications and interestingly the ones recruited from Bohemia, Silesia, and Moravia were classified "German" yet interestingly Austrian troops were not.
Look this scene shows the fighting of Svib forest, a Bohemian Regiment was sent to Svib forest to flank them and encountered the Prussians. So they were Czechs. And they fought valiantly and bravely for the Osterreich
Austrian empire is not Austrian correct
Jerome M.S. Celaje Fredrick the great had already laid the ground work. Sometimes bigger is not better
Soldier from a Czech regiment could be still called "Austrian soldier", because he was a soldier of the Austrian Empire.
