Education in US is not free unless one has high academic achievements and test scores or is eligible for need based scholarships( these are the only 2 conditions that will get you excellent aid). The title of this video can mislead. I have put 4 kids through college here in US. Only one got 100% scholarships to get through undergrad and took loans for Harvard Law School. Yes, a student is eligible for stipends and aids when one gets here. For those who are outside US and want to pursue education here, work hard. Get good grades. Do very well in your SAT/ACT/GRE/TOEFL.. get good rec letters. If you can afford to pay in the beginning, consider it as an investment in yourself. Because education here is of high quality and sets your stage for life. Good Luck!!
How is it misleading? Isn't your concern literally the purpose of this video? To show HOW ppl can get a US education for FREE since it aint free by default??? Is it me or is common sense not common
Believe me, Bachelor's degree is almost the same for the top 500 universities. It is up to you. These top universities are in the top due to their contribution in research, not teaching.
American universities are not international, 50% Chinese communists, 50%American, another way of saying American universities are Chinese communist universities. after 4 years 50% of Americans would become Chinese communists, so 100% Chinese communists.
As an American, with a 3.82 GPA, I have to say your video skipped a lot of what actually gives student “free” education. I didn’t get any good scholarships, and I’m using financial aid. 3.82/4.0 was my score, and I got denied from top universities. Additionally, loans here in the states will ruin your bank in the future, some spend 15-30+ years paying back their loans. Finally, every state will charge you differently and as an ‘out of state’ you will pay the same as an international student, 40k+ USD per year, if you don’t get any of their ‘aid’ or ‘international student scholarship’ Sorry guys, it’s not as ‘magical’ as it may seem.
In Denmark where I live the education is free you only have to pay for some and this also applies for nearly all EU countries, but be ready to pay a high tax. Just come to Europe if you want free education.

Clarification: The courses taken in the first year or two of college include a mixture of “general educational requirements” or “core classes.” These are the basic classes that the videos calls “prerequisites,” but that is not the correct term for them. A prerequisite is any class that must be taken before a student is allowed to take harder class in the same field. For example, if a student wants to take Abnormal Psychology, they probably have to take Introduction to Psychology first. Intro to Psych (as it’s often called by students) is a prerequisite for Abnormal Psychology. The word “prerequisite” can be understood if you separate the prefix “pre-“ (meaning “before”). The rest of the word “requisite” is related to the word “require.” Together, they mean “required before.” The understandable confusion comes from the fact that many classes that serve as prerequisites also cover core requirements. A person studying engineering might take Intro to Pscyh to satisfy a core requirement of a social science class.

It's pretty difficult to get free education there. Even if you get full scholarship you will need to pay for insurance ($500-5000 a year), books, library fee, technology fee, science, lab, applying for college, visa, toefl, sat, airplane ticket, deposit for housing. Also, converting international grades to USA GPA costs around $300 plus you have to find an English notary who has to certify and translate it. That's around $200... I’ve been to the states but they have nothing no beauty like europe. Europe is more beautiful and I have now moved finally to Scandinavian country. Scandinavian countries are so beautiful and my suicidal ideation is over. It’s a socialist country too so I have all the support I need. It’s so beautiful and there are no levels no competition so no depression and low self esteem, eveyone is happy and there is no one poor here. Evryone can afford things. I would never go back to amerikkka. It was not as beautiful as Sweden or Norway. People are way nicer too. I am saying this as an Ex amerikkkan. Norway is so light like I feel it’s more nature and fresh air in America The air smells like gasoline and it’s so dull. I felt so depressed all the time.

Marina, could you share with concepts of studying as a doctor in The US for international student? It would be really helpful😌 Now I’m studying in 10th grade in Russia
I'm from Ukraine. A lot of guys come from the US to our country to study Medicine in English, it is much cheaper and after graduation they attend 2-year courses and pass special exam. While being final years students they start taking these courses online. It's grueling but that's how they save time and money.
Thank you for doing this amazing and helpful video, I have really gotten lots of valuable information on American education as an International student. I hope that I'm gonna find my opportunity soon!
This video is a great help cause you can acquire a lot of informations. Thank you so much for this. Also, I just want to share that it is my dream to study in a different country. But it's really hard since there are a lot of factors to consider. I hope someday I can fulfill this dream of mine.
Great video - thank you for this! A small note from my own experience on 4:05, 4:13, and 4:24 - Typically, a Ph.D. in the USA takes not four but four to five years (sometimes up to seven years). However, it depends on many factors like your research, subject area, school etc. Also, when you are trying to apply for a Ph.D. in the USA, it is not necessarily required to have your research 'topic' for specific areas of specialization. Of course, you have to narrow down your research interest, which can be further improved by working with your Ph.D. advisor - again, this depends on the Ph.D. program, school, etc. Hope this helps!
Thanks for the additional information regarding this matter I hope to have an adventure school journey in the U.S. which will make my life bright in the future.
I really want study in abroad, such as USA. But i don’t have money, i’m not smart, my english is bad. I only have the will and courage and hard work to fight to set foot there. Help me Jesus🙏🏼❤️

@@muhammadjonzoirov1086 TOEFL Or IELTS score lets admission officer know that you can read, write, speak and understand English. Your Academic performance is assessed from your transcripts and based on your standardized test scores from ACT or SAT or GRE or GMAT whichever one applies. You also need to get good recommendation letters from your teachers or employer and write a convincing personal statement why you want to study in the US. If all of the above are very good, you could get good academic scholarships or 100% tuition waiver( if you are an exceptionally good academic performer). Now remember, the ivy leagues ( Harvard, Stanford , Yale and other top schools don’t give any academic scholarships because they claim that 100% of their students are ‘star’ students and that is true. Hope I was able to explain it.

Stop saying very: Very good:. Terrific Very bad:. Nefarious Very cute:. Adorable Very smart: judicious Very confusing: mind-blowing Very great: ineffable Very cool: outstanding Very exciting: sensational. Enjoy your learning ☺️🙂.
Just some friendly advice from an American, ineffable isn't something I've ever heard anyone say in my life, and I didn't even know what it meant. There's probably better words to use in it's place, as most people won't know what you mean.
If you're writing an essay, sure you can use a few of these words, but using words like ineffable or nefarious while talking to someone will make it weird.
I also think "mind-blowibg" is rarely used as "very confusing". It's more like "wow", "super impressive". Like "Have you watched new Spider-Man movie? That was mind-blowing". Or "The Mariana Trench if almost 11 km deep! This is mind-blowing".

We had the same problem in Ukraine. In 2005 I graduated as Specialist as well. In 2011 I applied for post graduate education in the Netherlands. I translated my diploma as Master degree, all my university representatives signed the docs as well and I participated in the program. Legally you can apply as a Bachelor. I did it illegally. Luckily, right now education system in Ukraine corresponds international standards and, as a result, less issues to deal with when you apply for university abroad 😀
Hi. My daughter attended high school in Tanzania and got a good grade on the SIT test, and my daughter wished she could get accepted to Columbia University, but unfortunately she did not get accepted.
Few applicants are admitted to schooks like Columbia (under 5% of applicants). If your daughter wants to be in NYC, she can apply to Hunter College or Baruch College. Excellent education at a fraction of the cost. The maker of this video seems lovely and very sincere, but all I hear from her is Stanford, Yale and Harvard, so she is focused too much on the most highly selective schools with low admissions rates. A much bigger world exists outside these schools, which do not offer merit aid.

American universities are not international, 50% Chinese communists, 50%American, another way of saying American universities are Chinese communist universities. after 4 years 50% of Americans would become Chinese communists, so 100% Chinese communists.

Marina, could you share with concepts of studying as a doctor in The US for international student? It would be really helpful😌 Now I’m studying in 10th grade in Russia
I am an indian pursuing my grade 11 🥰
I'm from Ukraine. A lot of guys come from the US to our country to study Medicine in English, it is much cheaper and after graduation they attend 2-year courses and pass special exam. While being final years students they start taking these courses online. It's grueling but that's how they save time and money.
I am also in 10th but in India.

Please do more cover on these topics for international students... That great an helpful content

How many IELTS score gives opportunity to enter the universities with discount
Did 2 Universities you got into offer full scholarship? If they did, what exactly colleges?

Stop saying very:
Very good:. Terrific
Very bad:. Nefarious
Very cute:. Adorable
Very smart: judicious
Very confusing: mind-blowing
Very great: ineffable
Very cool: outstanding
Very exciting: sensational.
Enjoy your learning ☺️🙂.
Just some friendly advice from an American, ineffable isn't something I've ever heard anyone say in my life, and I didn't even know what it meant. There's probably better words to use in it's place, as most people won't know what you mean.
Never heard half of these words. Terrible, awful, amazing, awesome are better alternatives. Or you can use slang word "sick".
If you're writing an essay, sure you can use a few of these words, but using words like ineffable or nefarious while talking to someone will make it weird.
@@DrAnxiety17 Or a personal favorite of mine "Dope".
I also think "mind-blowibg" is rarely used as "very confusing". It's more like "wow", "super impressive". Like "Have you watched new Spider-Man movie? That was mind-blowing". Or "The Mariana Trench if almost 11 km deep! This is mind-blowing".
very great in addition useful information .thanking you
so nice & beautiful view in the university it is so clean & nit thats why people love to walk around and keep mentally freshness .🤩🤩🤩🤩

Thanks for the informative video. Please as a specialist in Russia, what level can I apply to in the US ? Masters or doctorate ?
We had the same problem in Ukraine. In 2005 I graduated as Specialist as well. In 2011 I applied for post graduate education in the Netherlands. I translated my diploma as Master degree, all my university representatives signed the docs as well and I participated in the program. Legally you can apply as a Bachelor. I did it illegally. Luckily, right now education system in Ukraine corresponds international standards and, as a result, less issues to deal with when you apply for university abroad 😀
Now no where, thats sad

@Mike oh. Thank you for the information. If it hadn't for you, I would've pictured America as a fearful country.
The reason why I picture it like that is because of what the NEWS is always reporting about. I for an apology.🙏
There are shootings and violence, but take a look at some statistics about crime per capita. The country has a very large population, and it is much safer than it may seem after watching the news.
Great plan number two, thanks
