I'm fan of these presentations. Professionally I'm dealing with a lot of external sources to integrate with internal sources to gain some advanced analytical insights. My business keys are thus 'external keys', eg business information of a unique company. Internally we have parties, that can be customers, suppliers, ..... Is there information available how this fits in the enterprise wide picture ?

IN EDW , it should be seen like customer_party_link table which connects both sides. Of course there should be definition IDs which are referring some type tables.
