Great Job. I have been asking this question to data engineers they were not able to give me an answer. You answered it in first 15 minutes. Well done. Highly appreciated.
This is an awesome video. I have 7 years of experience in data engineering and based on my experience I can say you are a great instructor. All the best.
I absolutely love the way you explain concepts - the concept of Data Vault can be very daunting, specifically while preparing for interviews but you brought so much clarity to the 3 components and their descriptions in this video! Great work!!
Hey this was really well done, great job breaking down the differences between the 3 modeling techniques and explaining DV with a very straightforward example - looking forward to more!
Thanks a lot for your encouraging feedback. It really helps me keeping motivated and bring more such useful content for everyone. Do suggest some topics !
This video explains the data vault very nicely with example. I have watched many videos before this but nothing is close to this. Thanks for a such a nice one. Keep it.
Anshul, thanks for such noble work you are doing training the world articulating complex technological concepts, products, services, and solutions in a way a non-techy can understand. I have been in the IT industry for 35 years now seen and done everything including programing, managing, C-level, etc. Your articulation skills are so impressive creating me a student again to listen to your lecture series. Your thinking, understanding, and explaining technologies are crystal clear and accurate. Again, thanks and keep up the great work. I started listing to your videos just a week or two back and I already see so much of gratitude pouring in. God Bless my dear!
Thanks Dominic your feedback is one of the best I have got as well.... thank you so much watch other video series on excel data analysis, datawarehouse, google bog query and many more. Anshul
@@ITkFunde :D You deserve it! I don't know if I can ask question here... What is the difference among 'load_date_time' in Hub, Link, and Sat tables? Are they all same?
Thanks Tiho sorry could not respond to your last query, load_date_time is maintained for every record coming into your Data Vault. Now there are ways to implement it differntly, for ex in DV 2.0 we can main Load DTS at the staging layer and propogate the same onto next layers. So in essence load_dts would vary for each record or table. But if you split single unique record into Hub, Satellite then it could be same. Hope this helps. Thanks Anshul
I find this channel the best of all online lessons in any of the topics covered.. Can I request to cover a list of all common tools and platforms used in each of the data pipelines.. even just a list will be useful.. thank you!
Thank you very much for this video. I have a new job and I am trying to understand the data warehouse I need to work with for a while now. It was not clear at all before, but this was very, very enlightening!
at 19:45 - "that will only affect your link component" when the business key changes, for example, from alphanumeric to integer ...so in that case, wouldn't the hub table also be affected , and not just the link table component ? But if you say - since I am using alphanumeric so it can accommodate even integers, on the hub table, then would the same argument, not be applicable, to the link table component also ?
