i love it, im doing a little improv for my facebook fan page right now with this. i wish more bands would put out music like this actually. 80s is my all time favorite
For those asking about the chords: Don't listen to the keyboard. It's playing the same thing all the time. Listen to the bass. In the verse bassline goes in two bar blocks. The first three chords are Em, C, Am, and then the next two bars are divided to two small fills, figure out the timing yourself. first small fill is (C, D) and the second one is (G, Am). When I wrote (X, Y), I mean that those are in one bar, just for fugure reference. In the chorus I couldn't figure out the chords but I could figure out the bassline, which goes (C, B), E, (C, B), E, (C, B), A, D, and then we get an accidental of D# (not sure about the chord on that one) which is not in the key. then it goes back to verse. But if the others are in the key, everything else is in major except A, B and E are in minor. TLDR: Tempo ~139 Verse: Em, C, Am, (D>C) & (G>A) Chorus: (C, B), E, (C, B), E, (C, B), A, D, D#
***** D# is in the harmonic minor mode :) Perfectly resolves into our root through either a B7< or for instance D# Major if we're in the blues pentatonic.
Thanks for this backingtrack, I really like it :). Few months ago I found it and start jamming that night, it was random improvisation, but I never took it to the end I will have to :). Thanks, great bt!
Really cool backing track. I like how the key is that sort of ambiguous switching thing that a lot of metal bands used to do (because they didn't know better) but it's kinda awesome when it works. Try B minor and E minor. Some parts suit both, some parts only suit one
Very good riff on the verse and loving the diminished chord at the end of the chorus! I can't stand to hear another half assed solo over this master piece (tried to listen to a few but couldn't stand it). This backing track works best on it's own.
@Jade Williams Some great 80s Hair Metal bands are Stryper Bon Jovi Kiss Def Leppard Van Halen Motley Crue Whitesnake Ratt Dokken etc. They have great songs and great guitar sounds.
Fanatic backing tack. Like it. As I am learning rock guitar and never played with someone backing me. Thanks for your great backing track. And happy playing
This track is God-like. i miss the 80's. I felt my hair growing back just soloing over this.
I wish I could grow up there instead of this shit where music is crap
You are listening to the wrong music.
CJ Coleman depending on your taste of music. &0s were fantastic for me
You should do a Rogaine commercial of that, lol.

ahjteam correct - the keyboard makes it sound very major modally speaking

Really cool backing track. I like how the key is that sort of ambiguous switching thing that a lot of metal bands used to do (because they didn't know better) but it's kinda awesome when it works.
