Don't forget the natural minor it will change your style of playing for the better. I love pentatonic but I fell in love with Natural minor about a year ago.

What’s really cool about AM C major is it’s all the white keys on the piano. It’s simple to visualize on a piano but once you can ‘see’ the guitar pattern you’ll be flying around the neck in a whole new freedom

Should I play the shape on the area that I find the chords that are being played along with the rythm? .... Or can I play in any part of the fret board, regardless of the chord? Or both can be valid, depending just on my inspiration? Tks!
Start by going up and down the scales. Once you've memorized it, you can improvise as much as you want on any part of the guitar neck, trying to fit into the rhythm of the song.
