First time I ever heard the yellow/green electric pump turned on nobody told me the PTU made this noise and I freaked out because I thought the pump was cavitating
могу ли я сделать заключение что чем меньше работает PTU тем лучше показатель гидравлики? Если он работает минуту и более значит гидравлика не в порядке?
@@user-kito-bunbunkitofriendthe ptu transfers hydraulic fluid between systems so i think it could be a variety of things but yes before and after takeoff your likely hearing the unit send power to open/close the cargo door.
When there’s pressure difference between yellow and green hydraulic system and it’s greater than 500 psi, the ptu will kick in, allow the green system to power yellow system or the other way around.
The reason it does it before takeoff is to equalize pressure especially after the starboard engine is started to ensure good hydraulic pressure between the redundant systems of the aircraft
@@somark28 The only reason why it is activated as a "test" is because following the logic, during engine startup. When both engine masters are on, the second engine starts to pressurize the EDP, but in the meantime the PTU run and will stop when the difference between the 2 hydraulic circuits is less than 500psi
APU - Auxiliary Power Unit. It is a small engine designed to provide electrical and pneumatic power. Generally, It is mounted in the tail section of aircraft (Example: Airbus A320 aircraft)
@@yosephinaeda711 not Ptu and Apu are 2 different things the pump (ptu) barks the apu is a generator engine commonly placed at the tail of plane in some planes you can see a hole at the back that os what it is The apu it is a small jet engine so the hole on the back is the exhaust and then inlet is commonly on the back (side) of plane the apu can also be in other locations from what i know idk which mabye the wheel well to conclude the ptu power transfer unit barks not the apu axially power unit
I love that this small guy can make such a loud sound, just like a dog
Yeah! Correct
First time I ever heard the yellow/green electric pump turned on nobody told me the PTU made this noise and I freaked out because I thought the pump was cavitating
Same lol I panicked but after a quick search on Google and yt I now know what the sound is (PTU)
I love the gear door closing
I was expecting to see a metal dog
Lol
Normally the PTU makes the barking sounds faster, and it makes a long tight fart sound

On dirait le bruit que fait mon talon dans le fond de ma baignoire😅🤣
この音が好きです!

Now, it seems clear, why Scandinavian Airlines have gone to the dogs since their migration to Airbus... 😂
I assumed it would be bigger!!
Waf waf waf 🙂 famous dog song of pump ,
A small thing and making so much noise that to inside the cabin 😂😂
Hadal ahbek
Oh. So that's why I hear "MMMMMMMMMMMM". Because the PTU door is closing.
Perfectly correct ✅
Wait WHA- IS THAT THE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT?

What does it do? Why does it always make the sound before take off?
It is transferring hydraulic power to one system to another
Sometimes before takeoff, other times after landing, but yeah usually during taxiing

A stingy airliner that shuts off one engine immediately after landing roars violently as soon as the other is shut off.
I disappointed by the music
Yes! Every one may not like it. 😊👍🏻
I hear this sound before the takeoff in cebu Pacific
Same po😊
@calixone3219 A320neo
Yes you hear this on every Airbus either before takeoff, or after landing. Its 100% normal never worry about the sound unless its while in the air...
True - if you hear it in the air then somethings not right with the blue or yellow hyd systems xD
