1988 Piedmont/USAir Merger Video

Produced by Piedmont Airlines after the merger with USAir was approved, this video was intended to help make the combination of the two airlines as smooth as possible. It didn't. The $1.6 billion dollar purchase of Piedmont by USAir was, at the time, the most expensive airline merger in history. The merger was announced on March 9, 1987 and Piedmont's last flight was August 4, 1989.

As Piedmont’s 1000th flight attendant, hired in 1982, I feel like I was a part of their history and was so proud to be in the Piedmont family.
I especially liked working the Florida Shuttle and the Fokker F28 👍
