Don't forget, Catherine wasn't just forgotten, she was deleted completely, as in she never existed. If you remember to when they explained what happened to all the Heathcliffs from mirror worlds, it said they all left Wuthering Heights shortly after going there since there was no reason to stay (As Cathy didn't exist) So their histories were all rewritten. The will does not exist since Catherine never existed. (Sorry I'm a bit autistic about this game and its lore)

If i remember correctly, after the fight with nelly, heathcliff chose to give wuthering heights, which was in his name due to inheritance, to her in order to repair all the damage he (and cathy) did to her life, since in every reality her life got ruined by them one way or the other.
Something that I’ve noticed about Muersualt, is that he doesn’t really stick up for himself. Similar to Yi Sang from before Canto IV, he doesn’t really think about himself. However, he did take initiative when Erlking was about to escape. So there are differences.
How the heck do you deal with the unclashable attacks, that gimmick alone is preventing me from clearing this event, this boss ruins the entire event for me.
There's quite a lot of options. You can still redirect and/or use defensive skills on Unclashable attacks. Simply redirect the attack to an ID that resists the damage type or just evade it entirely since evades ignore offense level. It honestly doesn't even roll that high, so you can also pretty much just tank it with someone who isn't fatal to that damage type. There's also shields if you have them, you can heal back the lost hp with healing, and if it's the Mirror Dungeon version, you'll likely find gift or two that does that for you. You can also use a Sinking team to nuke their sanity so they roll tails more frequently, which also cuts down their damage by a lot.

There's quite a lot of options.
You can still redirect and/or use defensive skills on Unclashable attacks. Simply redirect the attack to an ID that resists the damage type or just evade it entirely since evades ignore offense level. It honestly doesn't even roll that high, so you can also pretty much just tank it with someone who isn't fatal to that damage type.
There's also shields if you have them, you can heal back the lost hp with healing, and if it's the Mirror Dungeon version, you'll likely find gift or two that does that for you. The unclashable attacks don't do that much damage though? He's fast which can cause the same problems, but there's ways to deal with that.
