I never see vintage Halloween in the wild. So jealous of all your finds! Maybe I'll start buying one or two nice vintage items a year online and then will have a good collection down the road.
That’s exactly what I do :) every year I pick something to add to my collection. It’s extremely difficult to find vintage and antique halloween in the wild. Even if they have it at estate sales they usually know what they have and mark the prices up.
Make a little round cork That's like a flat cup cake A halloween cupcake Liner. But it up to look Cute. And stick it in it. To display. And as you Find them in the future. You'll have a home for Them. That's what I did. With my 4 pieces I have. It's cute to me.
The luster witch clips on a plug in the wall nightlight. I love your finds. It is definitely like finding a needle in a haystack looking for vintage Halloween decor around where I live. It feels so good when you do.
The owl and witch house diecuts are part of a set of 8. From the early 1960s. The oldest ones (yours) are nicely embossed, only 3 colours (orange, yellow, black) and one-sided. The newer ones have green added, thinner card stock, no embossing and double-sided...
I collect vintage Halloween too ! Love your stuff, especially all the paper items. Those are so hard to find ! And my favorite things to collect. I would frame all the paper items. And paint the frame a Halloween color..Also I love tin items. Pumpkins, noise makers, etc. I just recently ran across your videos. That why, I'm commenting so late.
I love the paper items too! I’ve been trying to find an inexpensive flat file cabinet to hold all of my paper diecuts and larger ephemera pieces so that they don’t get ruined. I’ve also considered framing pieces like you do, just so hard to store a lot of framed pictures. Most of my pieces are from antique stores and eBay, too hard to find at my local thrifts 😭
I JUST bought a bunch of bestile vintage cut outs from this small shop for super cheap. The woman gave them to me for $2 for 4packs and that skeleton in a 55" version! 😭😭 I love them sm
Hi! Fun to see your collection! My Blessed Nest took candy picks and displayed them in thread spools.I understand about if your looking for something you don’t find it. Last year I wanted fairy lamps couldn’t find any. This past weekend found one at an estate sale and at low cost l’m thrilled!
Hello! If you have a vintage metal flower frog ( the spikey kind) the little cupcake picks look cute stuck down in those. I love the vintage post cards. I have several in my collection. Have never seen the German ones that you have! Nice! Tfs and happy hunting!
The blow molds will not melt in heat. I've got a few blow molds from the 60's that has been stored in the attic every year with no problems. I live in PA and the attic can get pretty hot. Isn't it fun to get out decorations every year? It's kind of like seeing an old friend. Love your video!
You can display your little plastic cupcake picks in a plastic Christmas dyi ball, create a Halloween scene with the Halloween mini fairy garden items from Micheals or dollartree add some fake sml tombstones some small fake picket fences and then your pics . They are very cute to hang .
You have a really cute collection! I only collect true vintage Christmas and Halloween. I don’t like the reproductions very much. I will be celebrating my birthday also this month. Thank you for sharing. Have a Happy Halloween!
You can display your picks in a fake cupcake if you’re crafty or stick them in a block of styrofoam embellished with orange ribbon rapped around the block. Check out 60s die cuts. Anything not cursor and not photographed would be older
The Halloween picks get a small piece of florist foam or small square styrofoam cover it in dried floral moss using simple hot glue or elmers and stick them on top after the moss has dried .This will give you a halloween style display of its own and you won't lose them due to their small size.
You have nice taste. Vintage is the way to go. I rather extra money to a good vintage piece. Do you collect vintage costumes. Keep up the good Halloween hunting.
Luhrs and Beistle are actually the same company (out of Shipinsberg Pa) the heir to the beistle corporation married a guy named Luhrs in the late 40s and that accounts for the name change. The Beistle name resumed in 1969. The owl at the end of your video is definitely German pre-World war II the nicest piece you got hang on to it.
@@abearandahare2847 oh that’s so sad 😭 I guess we’re lucky that vendors are very consistent with keeping their booth stocked with antiques…each vendor has different items so it’s a great variety

Such a wonderful collection also the cat bucket is darling glad you saved it from trash pile
Thank you so much! Vintage halloween is so hard to find im also happy to rescue any cool old pieces from their ultimate demise lol 😆
I took some vintage decorative toothpicks and stuck them into corks. I save unique bottles and use them as bottle stops during the Halloween season.
Omg awesome collection. Especially the cat band. So so adorable 👏🍂🎃🍂👏
Thank you!

Great collection. Take an Autumn trip to somewhere nice and cool weather wise. Luke Salem, MA.
I love your collection so far! I really get into the old stuff and the hand made items. Already planning my RUclips home tour for 2021.

I totally agree, the reproductions just aren’t as special as true vintage. It’s taken me forever to collect over the years!

That’s a cool idea thank you! I have so many great suggestions now I don’t even know what to choose lol 😆
I would put the little witch on the top of a candle, one I wasn’t planning on lighting of course.
I would totally be that weird person who keeps the vulture out all year 😂
I feel you, I’m definitely that person too lol I got a taxidermy owl for my birthday, his name is Archimedes and he stays out year round
Love the K Mart stuff

Lovely. 😘 Why are the German Halloween-cards with English text❓🙆♂️
They’re made for the American market :)
@@abearandahare2847 Äääähhm, didn't you have enough cards back then?😏 It was the design, right? An artist here who did the design?😃
Awesome
Good video
Antique stores typically have vintage items
Yes, our antique stores do have Halloween but sadly they don’t really get new merchandise very often

how is the card supposed to be German when it has literally English writing (+ the English way of writing dates) on it??
