He knows exactly what to do in all occasions, the direction to take, the fints to make, how and when to shoot, and he makes all that extremely fast, versus TOP, TOP players. As a former amateur football player, i know well that those things you can train them, but the base of the talent, the body of the talent, is given to you by God. Its 2024, and I am here as usual because I can't stop myself from watching Messi magic. Years will pass, 2025, 2026 and so on will come, but one thing is sure that we will always miss this legend. The little boy from Rosario, who climbed up the ladder of success and greatness in front of the whole world. We watched him grow, we watched him play, we watched him achieve and we are the ones who witnessed this greatest creation of god for football.
New players will come and go, people will compare him again, but there is very rare chance that we will find someone like him again. He is irreplaceable.
Watching his game, reliving those moments when I witnessed wonders on pitch brings tears to my eyes along with nostalgia, knowing that I will never see this guy again in his prime.

Feel like one of the craziest things about Messi is that when he shoots he barely winds up. Keepers have no chance to stop it because they have no warning. One second he's dribbling down the pitch at you, next second the ball is in the net. No warnings.
Even with his free kicks, most players have a run up but Messi takes like 2 steps
Exactly, and he normally is so accurate that he doesn't even need to shoot as hard. A lot of his goals are just perfect placement which is harder to do than hit it hard
He shoots during perfect blind spots where the keeper can't see him. He somehow knows when the goalie can't see him when he shoots and he has this vision while dribbling around 4-5 defenders. It's crazy

Most of the driblers have a solution for the first player. If they manage to beat the first one, the second player is pure combination of quick thinking and luck. Thats why majority of greatest players doesnt have more than 3 to 5 goals like this in their entire career. Messi outshines them all....even thou so many teams put a block of 3 players around him he managed to score so many goals or make so many runs past 3 or more players.
My favourite part is he nutmeg'd Ramos on the shot... I love it when he does those hard angle shots that nutmeg the defender

I am Argentine and I grew up with Maradona. I admire him and celebrate the 86 world cup but when I see Lionel I can't help but cry. This boy is not human or something happened here. People don't realize how much skill it takes to control a long ball under pressure and finish with the weak foot right after. That first goal he scored against AC Milan in 2013 is also extremely underrated, there were like 6 players surrounding him and he still controlled the ball and popped it into the net. If any other player did something like this, they'd get endless praise, but these are just ordinary goals for Messi🐐

What I always liked about messi is that he always made his own fan videos redundant. seeing a three year old video of "the greatest goals of the GOAT" would always mean he would have scored wonderful goals since that were not included. doesn't last forever though, enjoy him while he's still around :)
