Many years ago I made a bobble hat for a child. The bobble was actually a miniature snowman wearing a black hat. I have tried for years to find the pattern. It was originally for machine hitting but I can also hand knit or crochet . I am going to th using just the head of your pattern and see if on. If it works I will send you a pic. This is not for me to sell, just a Xmas present for some of my 12 great grandkids. Teamed with gloves and scarf I think they will love them 😀

First time seeing the 2 stitch start. I will not hesitate to make things with rounds anymore!!! Thank you! I love how simple and practical you keep things. I am so happy I found your videos. I was thinking about placing the first initial on the hats for the last name of family members, or maybe an initial of each family member on their scarves. Havent tried it yet, but the creative juices are definitely flowing, much thanks to you. I may make them personalized with initials and use on some Christmas gifts instead of tags. More personal, and they have a keepsake. Can initial pumpkins, too, and place on a wreath. Wow... I am on a roll!! LOL. Thank you, again, for your wonderful tutorials. Actually if you do not add weights they are pretty light little guys and you could add a hanger from the top of the hat or maybe on the back of snowman or top of hat you could add a string of chains that you could attach the hanger to. I have a question which does not pertain to this cute snowman. I have started on your first shawl. I am having a lot of trouble putting my hook in the back stitch. I would like to know if I crochet in the front and bottom stitch. Would it make my shawl wonky or any way not correct?
Hi Sharon! You can absolutely just make your crochet stitches on your shawl under both loops making a regular double crochet stitch and the shawl will turn out fine. It just won't have that ridge for each row, the shawl pattern will be flat. But if you use a beautiful yarn that won't be a big deal at all. Go for it! 😊🧡🧶

hmm, Oh, I wonder if when you were making your increases the rounds were curling towards you instead of away from you. If this is what is happening then just take your fingers and push the middle down and fold the side up so that you are looking at the project from the outside in instead of the inside out. This happens sometimes, you just have to manipulate the work to form a different way. Hope that made sense. Not super easy typing out what you are seeing in your head and trying to explain. 😄🧶🧡
Hi Sue! Actually there are a couple things that you can do with my video to help. If you are watching from a phone or tablet you will push on the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner of the video, if you are watching on a computer you will click on the little gear ⚙️ in the bottom right hand side of the video. I have a question which does not pertain to this cute snowman. I have started on your first shawl. I am having a lot of trouble putting my hook in the back stitch. I would like to know if I crochet in the front and bottom stitch. Would it make my shawl wonky or any way not correct?
Hi Sharon! You can absolutely just make your crochet stitches on your shawl under both loops making a regular double crochet stitch and the shawl will turn out fine. It just won't have that ridge for each row, the shawl pattern will be flat. But if you use a beautiful yarn that won't be a big deal at all. Go for it! 😊🧡🧶

You sure can use a red heart super saver yarn to make these little snowmen. The texture will look different but do-able. 😊❤️🧶

You look like you are crocheting from the outside. How come mine are going from inside?
hmm, Oh, I wonder if when you were making your increases the rounds were curling towards you instead of away from you. If this is what is happening then just take your fingers and push the middle down and fold the side up so that you are looking at the project from the outside in instead of the inside out. This happens sometimes, you just have to manipulate the work to form a different way. Hope that made sense. Not super easy typing out what you are seeing in your head and trying to explain. 😄🧶🧡

If you are watching from a phone or tablet you will push on the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner of the video, if you are watching on a computer you will click on the little gear ⚙️ in the bottom right hand side of the video. Cool idea how you used the tail of the yarn as the stitch marker. That's the first time I saw anyone do that. I will be using that idea. And btw the snow man is super cute.
