Hi. This is Nolan. My dad let me see a lot of the recent posts. Thank you to all whom congratulated me! Hi again - this is Nolan's dad. Anyone whom has seen Nolan in person says he has great form and let him keep working on the two handed style. He does very well. He just recently bowled with me in an adult-youth tournament in Dayton, OH (an hour away from home) against 8th, 7th & 6th graders. He's in 5th grade. He came in first in the youth portion with an 823 over 4 games on the "inferno" sport shot. I believe it is just a tougher house like pattern but pretty impressive for first time ever bowling in the house. He is also on his way to Buffalo this July for U12 Junior Gold. All I can say to anyone whom seems be his biggest critics is you got to see him in person as he gets only "mouths dropping" or very impressive and keep it up from anyone seeing him. To all those whom said nice things, Thank you. He still impresses me every day and I'll get some video from Buffalo as I have a good feeling about Junior Gold for him! :)
He is very talented!!! I've been bowling since I was 3 and been bowling for 16 years and have yet to shoot 300 in league. That's crazy to see a 10 year old do it! So happy for him!!
Nolan Blessing 300 I bowled with u In the state tournament dued I didn't know you were that good keep posting vids just of u bowling it doesn't have to be 300
@@matthewiles5714 It did at first, but once I realized what an accomplishment a 299 was, it wasn't so bad. Had I known that I would never get that close again, I would have certainly tried to enjoy it more. I have had 289's and 290's, but never again did I get 11 in a row with a chance to get the 12th.
Congratulations Nolan! That was awesome! I once bowled a 298 in Denver and despite whatever people say, a 300 in any shape or form is never easy. It's more mental strength than physical ability. We see pros crumble all the time in the 12th. Way to go, kid! --all the way from Malaysia.
Hey Nolan, this is the bowling coach from Wenatchee High in Wenatchee, Washington. You have a bright future!! That was truly wonderful!!! This is something you can tell other bowlers your whole life!!! Many bowlers never get to see 300 in their lives. Congratulations!
Mark, Tell this young man congratulations. It is the dream of many to someday shoot a perfect game, and he has been blessed enough to be one of those who have accomplished the feat. And, thanks for posting this. Maybe it will help some people remember why they started bowling in the first place.
Craziest thing I've ever seen. Nice that you caught this on video. I've bowled since I was 7 years old and bowled in tons of leagues and have never seen anyone bowl in this unorthodox style and score good. I guess as long as you perfect your style that's all that matters. Ten years old...wow that's crazy.
There was a man starting off on his first round of golf.He sliced the ball on the 1st tee and it sailed over the trees and rolled into the 18th hole.He said;"Well,I can't score any better than one!" Walked off and never played again!
Lol he did a great job in the Elite Youth Tour in Indiana! I looked over at him and I swore to myself that he looked like that kid you through the 300 on RUclips! And I was correct. Pretty cool to see him bowl in person!!
well done Nolan iam proud of you for achieving a 300 game its not easy to do ive done it 4 times in my life keep up the awesome work Nolan you should keep in it and go pro when you can you should get a hold of guinnes world records for your age for a 300 game . keep on striking and hope to see you on tv on the pro bowlers tour some day
Being an avid bowler myself, I bowled a 250 when I was 12. Never did accomplish a perfect game. A great accomplishment my young white brother. Now make more dreams come true for yourself.
@MrReaper666ish geez..here we go..look mr tweaker, the ONLY thing I am a bigot about is the fact that people of ALL races exploit this great country by their shallow sense of humanity. In February of 2019 I struck the first 10 shots and was just two strikes away and choked in the biggest way by throwing a gutter ball. The pressure was just too much. The closest I've ever been in my life and I was 39 years old. So that's awesome to be able to roll a 300 at age 10. Congratulations.
Man I have to give mad props to this kid he has done something I've been trying for 17 years to do and haven't been able to the closest I've come is a 290 so congratulations man
Your son will be the next Jason belmonte and his bowling form is perfect I'm 15 years old and I sometimes bowl with two hands and it's not that easy but just keep doing what your doing and you will make it to pba in no time I believe in you Nolan your my bowling hero and your the reason why I love to bowl and to never give up
Woww!! Way to go, kiddo!! That's amazing! My daughter is 7 and she bowls the SAME way--and it works for her too (not this awesome, but still works, nonetheless). Her coaches tried to teach her the "proper way", but she just couldn't do it. So she went back to bowling like you do, and she's been star bowler almost all quarter long!! Again, great job, hun! I wish I could bowl even half as good haha! Keep it up, sweetheart!!!
Thank you. I've been told that if technique and balance is good that I shouldn't switch. Everything is comfortable and easy flowing that I'm told to keep at it 2 handed and no reason to switch. Tell your daughter good job and good luck and keep at it!
Yep, if you get good results from that technique, and you can consistently repeat it then there is no reason to change what you're doing. Just stay open to change as you get older and your body changes. I went through something similar as a very successful junior golfer. Eventually I had to make some changes gradually as I got bigger and stronger.
WoW did a little Google search and now he is a sophomore in H.S. and has at least (4) 300 games under his belt as of January this year....man oh man this kid is gonna be fun to watch on the PBA tour
He started bowling two hands when he was almost 9 years old. He didn't bowl in a league until he was 9 1/2 years old. The ball used was a 1992 Fab Purple Hammer urethane bowling ball. The ball is twice as old as Nolan. Also, he weighs 68 pounds as he only weighed 67 lbs at time of 300 game. It is a 16 pound ball.
Awesome! Huge accomplishment! Congrats!! Also if anyone was curious the background song is "crush" by Gavin DeGraw (aka my favorite artist and I freaked out when I heard it) But congrats on the 300!!!!!
I'm still amazed. It was the eigth frame that I got smart enough to start recording what turned out to be a magical game. Let me pose a thought...Does anyone else know anyone to ever bowl a 300 game weighing under 70 pounds? Not just 10 years old but look how small to throw a ball that consistent the entire game! Oh yeah, he carried those great hits because he used one of my old urethane 16 pound bowling balls (Purple Fab Hammer). Ball = 16 lbs. Nolan = 67 lbs! Again, just amazing...proud of you!
I read about a kid who bowled a 300 game at 10 years old maybe 10 to 15 years ago but he was a much bigger kid about 100 pounds Ina way Nolan reminds of Norm Duke small and light but an amazing release point and follow through I have met Norm r few times and he is an amazing person with down to earth personality I have met Nolan bit I am sure he has the same personality
Ahhh, I'm 41yrs old and I sincerely miss the pure innocence and joy of junior league bowling. It was simply for the love of the game....and nothing else. Great bowling Nolan
just bowled in a tournament today with him, the one in erlanger, kentucky i thought i had seen this video about him already, congrats on the win by the way
Nolan Blessing (now 11 years old) just bowled in a Sweet 16 tournament offered to Youths 20 years and younger. 16 games all day and this 78 pound boy averaged 196 on 3 different Sport Shots moving pairs of lanes every game! He placed 5th! and won SMART money. daytonbowling.com/tournaments/results/ or daytonbowling.com/PDF/Sweet-16%20Game%20Tournament%20Results%202014.pdf for the actual field break out. He was youngest at tournament and beat many current high school and college bowlers! Nolan will be at Junior Gold in Buffalo in few weeks see how he can compete with the best at U12. I'll post his results!
U r straight up AWESOME..👍👍 way to go.. Me n my team here n St Louis Congratulate you on ur game. And looking forward to seeing you on the PBA in the future 😉 Good luck to you n good bowling n the future..
I was a bowler and I only ever got around 200 at that age. He indeed has a strange technique but hey whatever works; I can't say I've ever bowled a 300! Nice going kid!
GREAT JOB Nolan!! I'm 42 and still don't have a perfect game, and the great part is that will not be your last. If you haven't gone to buffalo yet Good Luck.
I don't care if dear Nolan does a handstand on his approach - he bowled a 300 - 'nuff said. I'd love to be there at a moment like this to cheer the lad on! Outstanding.
And the camera doesn't show his score either. Some youth bowlers typically get a handicap in each match so that if they get a gutter ball in a frame, they can do the frame over. I once saw a guy in his 20's bowl two consecutive 300 games. How did he do it? For each frame that he didn't bowl a strike, he kept erasing it until getting a strike before moving on to the next frame.
Of course it's real. This isn't the PBA where every frame is televised from beginning to end. This is league competition. It wasn't apparent that he might bowl a 300 until the 7th or 8th frame. That's why we only see the last few frames. I know it was over 4 years ago, but good show Nolan!
Conner Nichols you clearly don't watch much bowling. No one starts recording until the end obviously. And rolling a 300 is much more common than you think. Especially nowadays with newer balls and the 2 hander style. I've personally seen plenty of 300s from kids about this age.
I cat believe that you got 300 game !!!! I use to do bowling I was in a bowling team and I try out for a state tournament and me and 4 other people and 2 of the people are friends to me and me and all 4 of us won the state tournament !!!! And nationals !!! It was amazing !!! And I almost in one of my games almost got a turkey !!! But I got a triple strike !!! It was still amazing !!!! And my bowling coach and the bowling coach son loved me !!! I miss them but it was fun doing bowling with them every Saturday of every year since I was a little kid !!! Bowling was like my life of doing as a sport !!! Bowling was awesome !!!
@Steve Scheunemann I don't know, and it really doesn't matter, a 10yr old shooting 300s and 800s at any house is an awesome accomplishment 🤷🏾♂️, and it's on usbc website so it's legit
Kid you are amazing...... but remember everyone thinks they have a 220 average and will try to coach you, don't listen to them, keep confidence in your own ability and learn from your favorite professionals bowling in the pba on RUclips, go to the alley with your dad and don't let anyone interfere with your progress, you're bowling better than most, but remember remain humble and respectful. You're on your way to become a very good bowler which you are already, congrats on your first 300. May God bless you buddy.
Can t believe there are people trashing this kid, WHAT? Bad form, looks like he s falling out of a tree, HOW Stupid. I ve bowled for 50 yeara, 200 average plus, and have had 4 300 games. Whoever made the comment about the equipment is a nut case. Still have to throw the ball where it belongs. Good job Nolan!! Don t pay any attention to the trashers, there just stupid jealous, and probably know nothing about the sport.
Congratulations to this young man. I know how it feels to bowl a 300 game. And only 10 years old? He’ll remember that for the rest of his life and hopefully it propels him into a successful bowling career. I’d like to put things in a little better perspective, and I’m not the old man sitting on his porch in the rocking chair talking about the good old days. In 1973, when I was 17 years old, I was the first junior bowler to ever bowl back to back 300 games, at Westlake Bowl (shoutout to WB!) in Daly City, just south of San Francisco. At that time there had been only seven other bowlers in the history of bowling, adults, pros, juniors, etc., that had bowled back to back 300 games. This was with plastic balls on wood lanes. Don’t get me wrong, I’m actually happy about the two handed bowlers now. It has allowed many more bowlers to begin bowling and get involved in the sport at a fair high-level, and quickly.
This seems fishy... His dad left this comment: He started bowling two hands when he was almost 9 years old. He started bowling two hands when he was almost 9 years old. - So he only had his form for 1 year and bowled a 300? Either fake, you guys practice way too much, or he just got lucky. He didn't bowl in a league until he was 9 1/2 years old. - Mhm, so 1/2 year and he's all good to go for a 300? Cool story bro! The ball used was a 1992 Fab Purple Hammer urethane bowling ball. The ball is twice as old as Nolan. - Really doesn't matter lol Also, he weighs 68 pounds as he only weighed 67 lbs at time of 300 game. It is a 16 pound ball. - Mhm another fishy thing. Why would a person who weighs 67 pounds be throwing a 16 lb pound? Hahahah fake
For what it's worth, I bowled my first 300 (and averaging 205 at the time) only 15 months after I started (granted, I started at 20, not 10). Credit to YABA and solid coaching.
I've known him for about 4 years now and he used to throw all of his dad's old bowling balls (thus why they are 16lbs). My son bowls with/against him in tournaments and he is a very consistent bowler.
Great game! My son is 12 and also bowls with the two handed technique. He has already bowled a 254 and just bowled his first 600 series. The two handed technique gives more control and is easier on the joints.
I'd love to hear from those that said the equipment was why he shot 300 once they found out it was a 20+ year old ball! And Jenna needs to learn about bowling.Using 2 hands is legal in any competition as long as the ball is drilled within the USBC specifications.I guess just because she can't do it she feels it's illegal? With his ball speed a new ball will hook way too early.Unless it's drilled really mild.If he works on balance and release he'll be successful. But he for sure will not be rolling like that when he's old.If he even continues to bowl. I'm not a fan of the 2 handed style. But I'm old fashioned so...just wish I was a teenager again just learning to bowl.I know how I'd be rolling the ball.;- )
right on nolan blessing. right on. you keep up your bowling skills, and one day you might be competing on the pba bowling tour. how about another 300 game.
+Michael Niemiera Maybe no points but its hard being consistent for most people when they don't have a good technique. But everyone's different just hope it holds up. Im sure as he gets older and gets coached and learns more about the game he'll really improve
How do we even know he threw the first 10 strikes? We dont, someone could have easily bowled for him, and then he just bowled the 10th frame. Im sorry to be a debby downer but I dont believe a 10 year old got a 300! Im 20 years old and have been bowling since I was 6 and the highest game ive gotten was a 265. Show more proof if he gets a 300! Not just the 10th frame
The 8th and 9th frame are actually video'd and listed on youtube as well. If you look at the scoring, no corrections (no frames listed in "white highlight" to show adjusted. Also, the league was sanctioned and if you go to bowl.com and look up his membership, the 300 is listed under achievements. Outside of that, only the 50 + witnesses that saw it!
I bowled in this league with Nolan, and I watched him bowl this game. Started watching around the 5th frame to the end. I can assure you that he DID in fact bowl this 300 by himself.
The actual 8th and 9th frame are on RUclips as well and from the 50 to 75 witnesses and the Bowling proprietor whom submitted his 300 Ring Award, it seems pretty verified! Go to bowl.com and search Nolan Blessing membership and check under achievements for the 300. Don't know much more to do to verify.
I'm not a troll. Two-handed bowling is not seen as respectable bowling by ones who bowl CORRECTLY and win correctly. If you can't hook the ball without being a two-hander then don't try to cheat.
I once was bowling a perfect game but blew it in the second frame.
Same lol
I hear ya. I got the first 9 then in the 10th I threw perfect pocket and left a 10 pin. Ended up missing the spare and got 267
@@jrazor28 great game still my highest ever is 252

Two handed bowlers for life!
This comment made me laugh LOL
I always thought I bowled "wrong" until I recently saw some pros using no thumb and two hands, just like me! My thumb never felt right in there.
You were probably holding it wrong.
Fadecountier no
300s are always great to see congrats on the 300
“WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE..... I AM “
just bowled in a tournament today with him, the one in erlanger, kentucky i thought i had seen this video about him already, congrats on the win by the way
Nolan Blessing (now 11 years old) just bowled in a Sweet 16 tournament offered to Youths 20 years and younger.
Nolan Blessing 300 Well done lad
I think it's clear he rolled the perfect game
U r straight up AWESOME..👍👍 way to go.. Me n my team here n St Louis Congratulate you on ur game. And looking forward to seeing you on the PBA in the future 😉 Good luck to you n good bowling n the future..
ive been a Bowler for 60 years,, I frikkin QUIT..
Me to.
Fred Fadungy wow u old
I was a bowler and I only ever got around 200 at that age. He indeed has a strange technique but hey whatever works; I can't say I've ever bowled a 300! Nice going kid!
you are the number one kid champion ship bowler with 23 titles
That’s impressive for kid like him just imagine when he’s 30 and goes back and watches this he will be so proud
He will be too busy on the PBA tour
pretty sure I was still wetting the bed when I was 10
Nasty Ass
Amazing. I bowled in the yaba. I had a high game of 278. Later on I got two 300 games in the ABC league. I hope he's still bowling
Iam going bowling today with my friend!!! Iam so excited!!! 😃 😃
Congratulations Nolan for bowling a 300! :-)
At the end he said "I told you I won the bed"
Congratulations big man! That is incredible.
Its 3 in the morning, wtf am I doing here.
GREAT JOB Nolan!! I'm 42 and still don't have a perfect game, and the great part is that will not be your last. If you haven't gone to buffalo yet Good Luck.
Wow very impressive!
In my 30s and never got closer than a 269 heh
Good job Nolan. Congrats on the perfect game!
If I had a quarter for every pixel I would have a nickel
I don't care if dear Nolan does a handstand on his approach - he bowled a 300 - 'nuff said. I'd love to be there at a moment like this to cheer the lad on! Outstanding.
next up, take on Belmo!!! Great work man :)
Him and belmo have 1 thing in common, they bowl with 2 hands
I bowled in the junior travel league with this guy. He's one amazing kid. I've been bowling for 13 years and I haven't shot a 300.
Something about this seems fishy, we never see the full games
What's even Fisher ...lol is when homer Simpson scored a 300 balloons fell from the ceiling and music played there's a conspiracy going on here.
Conner Nichols
The moon landings were real. Don't be paranoia
Looked him up on usbc and he's definitely legit, he has a few 300's and an 800
@Steve Scheunemann I don't know, and it really doesn't matter, a 10yr old shooting 300s and 800s at any house is an awesome accomplishment 🤷🏾♂️, and it's on usbc website so it's legit
@Steve Scheunemann I hear you, but he's shot 300 at multiple centers 🤷🏾♂️
Incredible! See you on the pro tour in about 10 years
I have bowled hundred of games and have scored a 200+ four times.
His dad left this comment:
He started bowling two hands when he was almost 9 years old. He didn't bowl in a league until he was 9 1/2 years old. The ball used was a 1992 Fab Purple Hammer urethane bowling ball. The ball is twice as old as Nolan. Also, he weighs 68 pounds as he only weighed 67 lbs at time of 300 game. It is a 16 pound ball.
- Really doesn't matter lol
Also, he weighs 68 pounds as he only weighed 67 lbs at time of 300 game. It is a 16 pound ball.
So the crowd was in on it too?
I've known him for about 4 years now and he used to throw all of his dad's old bowling balls (thus why they are 16lbs). My son bowls with/against him in tournaments and he is a very consistent bowler.
jealous jealous jealous......hahaha
I’ve been bowling for 21 years and struggle with a 153 average. Congrats young man!
You no average means what you
Usually bowl best game is you best score
this reminds me of when peggy bundy bowled a 300.
+AL “STINKFOOT” BUNDY Nice username.
+HomesickGolem9 HSG thanks!
Awesome job little man. Keep it up look forward to seeing you in the future rolling more of those
It is actually hard to bowl with 2 hands in my opinion
god son agreed
it is much harder, i bowl both ways.
Wow for a 10 year old boy to have a 300 points bowling league game that’s impressive well done 👍👍👍👍
This is how Belmonte got his start
Marshall Whitehed You're comparing a 10 year old to one of the best bowlers in the world...
WOW! Nolan was on a mission that game and would not be denied! And he is only going to get better.
This camera was filmed by a potato. 😂😂
_law Not rly.
_law STF
its 2013, they didnt exactly have 4k lmfao
i know this comment is 2 years old but you know you said “this camera was filmed by a potato” which makes 0 sense whatsoever
I was thinking the exact same thing. Pretty sure that person meant "This video was filmed with a potato."
right on nolan blessing. right on. you keep up your bowling skills, and one day you might be competing on the pba bowling tour. how about another 300 game.
I bowled a 300 at age 9 and I have 17 now I'm 12 now
Bullsh!t
Now that's a 130 thousand shot. Congrats🥇🥇🥇
Lol he won the bet
AMAZING! Great GAME.... You’re a FOREVER champion!
Nolan great job I'm 10but my highest score is 234 awesome Nolan
I love seeing stuff like this. good job!! I wonder if he's still bowling.
I heard he's into curling now
I don't think he looks good bowling looks like he hit a wall when he slides and you stale at the lane and no slide but whatever works
+Mr.Crux Like you said, whatever works. No points for style.
+Michael Niemiera Maybe no points but its hard being consistent for most people when they don't have a good technique. But everyone's different just hope it holds up. Im sure as he gets older and gets coached and learns more about the game he'll really improve
+spazvapes check out Belmonte
Jerrod Tofte Belmonte is one of the most consistent bowlers. Posts up nearly 90% of his shots, always working on his footwork and balance
Way to go young man. You've done something that few people have done.
I have a 300 too but i was 26
Throws like Belmonte..
It's Belmonte, actually.
Kasya K
I gave your comment a thumbs up lol! Derp! on me.
Hahha dagnabb me
Sea Hawks that's exactly what I was thinking
ikr
Wow what a great game congratulations young man very nice bowling
You seem quite jealous.
C6evolution2008 You tell 'em Phoenix. A lot of jealous people on here, either that or just trolls. Way to go, Nolan!
Way to go kid! Amazing....
TWO Handed bowling is NOT real bowling nor is it respectable no matter who does it. Bowl with one hand, all three fingers in the holes or GTFO
Ha ha
.
Trying too hard to troll. Way too obvious
+Jerrod Tofte with all due respect, I'm not sensing any troll.
I'm not a troll. Two-handed bowling is not seen as respectable bowling by ones who bowl CORRECTLY and win correctly. If you can't hook the ball without being a two-hander then don't try to cheat.
Congratulations! You are a star - success to you in your adventures.
