I watched the new reviews on Trek's $12.5K "mountain e-bike" and this is an absolute BARGAIN in comparison...lots of Power and extra range w/dual battery option and thousands upon thousands less than the Trek....it's heavier but I don't "jump".... I have a Rad Rover (love it) and by the time I have completed my comparable upgrades, I am touching $2.5K all-in.... EUNORAU, BikTrix and Himiway are charging hard in the Fat Tire segment.... Trek, Specialized and their like can take a flying leap!
I must have gotten a lemon. The derailleur hanger broke, a crank arm broke, the suspension at both ends is horrible and the bike is seriously slow! Top speed is fine, but getting there is the problem. For example, in top gear roll-ons (using the throttle) other less powerful ebikes leave the FAT-HS for dead. Perhaps Eunorau dumbed-down the torque for extended range or something, but whatever they did, it negates any quickness 1000 Watts could have generated. And Eunorau's return policy is unrealistic. Riding the bike for the first time I knew it was too underpowered for me, but since I took it on a trail and got it dirty, I could not return it. Apparently, if you do anything beyond assembling it and looking at it, you cannot return the bike. Finally, if you break one of their proprietary parts, be prepared for a LONG wait! My broken derailleur hanger -- which occured on the first actual ride -- took SIX WEEKS to arrive from China. The part was covered under warranty, but it cost $30 for "express shipping." Six weeks. Don't buy this bike. Save a little more money and buy a Haibike.
I just ordered this bike and I have a 3d printing business so I'm thinking I'll likely 3d print something eventually for it sub my channel when I do make the part I'll make a video on it
Just got mine. Why did they enclose the motor. The motor was hot, I took off the left cover to give the motor some air, It made a big diffence. There are wires jammed in there so zip tie them in. Maybe I will get fancy and cut air slits, with air intake fins. I would just cut a shape like [ and bend it out a tad and file it, maybe the right side would get normal slits with no fins for exhaust. The look is clean, and motor protected. The bike "needs" programming, and the motor needs mobil 28 grease, when I opened the motor, there was barely any gray grease, the gasket didn't rip. I needed to install an adjustable handlebar stem, much more comfortable. You cannot pedal and throttle at the same time, either or. Pedal with pedal assist or just throttle, if you are holding throttle then pedal, power cuts out. The seat post will only go in 10.25" I cut 2.5" off mine. The display is garbage, buy a better one. All in all I like it, enclosed motor, what were they thinking. The brakes stop very well, they sound grindy though. It says bbs03 while programming, bbs03=bbshd. There is a dual battery device in the tube above the internal battery, model #bb-6080s.
I love this bike but, I like this bike a lot better with the 27.5 plus size tires that you can opt fot. Double suspension on a Fat Tire Bike is counterintuitive, it takes more than it gives.
I just bought this bike it's my second mid drive bike my first is a diy Cannondale conversion and that one is pushing 4000+ watts from a bbshd and a asi bac855 controller with NXT display
@@TheHopson Maybe I did get a dud. It is the 2021 model though... But as slow as the FAT-HS is, my wife likes it. Her other ebike was too quick for her. Me, I hated it!

This is an awesome bike no doubt, but it's been around for a little while and you guys are just getting around to reviewing now. Instead twice a month you review the Rad Mini. Know your audience, you don't need an electric motor on your bicycle if you want to go slow. Until they start using more powerful controllers Rad suggggzzzzzz!

Strong words.
I personally don't have any interest in a $12,000 bike. Maybe if it printed money, I'd take it.

worst bike Ivev ever owned
I wish they would make a small shield to protect those wires exposed on the bottom of the motor. Even a plastic shield would be nice.

They fixed this issue

Got my preorder for mid October! Hopefully doesn’t get delayed!

The slimmer rules would be nice to use. Might make the bike less cumbersome, especially with just one battery
@@mikeyg5159 shouldn't in theory be a lot better on a mountain bike trail with 27.5 plus tires
Who sells it with27.5 tires?
@@TheHopson I have never seen one and I know Dennis from Eunoral. The Specter S has the option.
Only two wires coming out of that cable connecting the second battery? Why the 5 slots into the battery? And why more than 2 pins in the connector?
Are those battery directly connected in parallel? or if the auxiliary one is acting as a charger and control the current flow?
They're in parallel
@@mikeyg5159 ok thanks, then they must be isolated with a circuit to avoid overcurrent between those

Have you received it yet?
About to order one. Does the new motor 1000w bbhsd have a torque sensor? Or should I get an Ultra?
How come no one has them in stock?
Probably covid. For some reason it made everyone want a bicycle
be glad theyre not _ they are AWEFUL
love the colour of this bike. its awesome and reasonablly priced
You should definitely go for the second battery
A second battery opens up a lot of new trails.
Where you at?
Still waiting now a Dellfast review
Yeah Spring suspension up front???? No oil?? Or rebound damping??
Yep. It's crap!
Seems like a very heavy bike.
Yeah, it's about 76 pounds
The worst eshop, they are thieves, they don't provide warranty, don't answer emails, acknowledge problems but never send parts.
speaking the truth - finally!! these bikes should be banned - i Hate mine! garbage
1000watts nominals , full sus , fat tires makes this one super lite weight e-motorcycle
I WISH it was a lightweight motorcycle. The bike is an absolute slug!
