Well it's understandable. He felt upset with Peter and Norman couldn't find a Cure. Now he left dying. Almost like The Amzing Spider-Man 2. At least he didn't turn into an Insane Maniac in a Glider.

I see Norman doing Goblin as a bigger possibility. Considering Harry is in critical condition and realized his mistake with taking Venom from Peter. Maybe a Carnage DLC and Silk game in between and then part 3 of Peter's story will be with Goblin + Otto

I want a time like like Sam Raimi Spider-Man 3, but Harry lives and him and Peter patch things up.
It’d be so cool to see a Spider-Man have allies who aren’t spider people and have different abilities and powers. Harry would have his super strength and gadgets of course.

Honestly I always find it weird when Norman acts all chummy with Peter I wish they had shown more positive interactions between them because right now Norman is basically saying “your like a son to me Peter why? Well your friends with harry that’s why” it’s bizarre

@@Jay3upThat's how Norman is, he's kinda a piece of shit but he loves Harry. In the comics and most media he makes Harry feel inferior by belittling him constantly and always praising Peter. I do think the games could have gone harder with that, but it's still fairly well done.
@@Jay3upyeah, totally agree. I absolutely love this game, but the story in some places is definitely lacking, and it’s because they overlooked fleshing out the finer details like this. There are a lot of major points that could’ve used a lot more refining and less clunky (such as this one).
The platinum, diamond - or whatever highest grade available of narrative games - definitely has to be Rdr2 and God of War Ragnorok. They perfectly built a plot without any dead spots, and all of it flowed so naturally together.
I like how they took inspiration from Raimverse, Amazing Spider, Ultimate Spiderman , Web of shadows and the recent comic storylines to create this masterpiece

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Otto betrayed Peter for the Devil’s Breath.
Spider-Man Miles Morales: Phin betrayed Miles for the Nulform.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2: Harry betrayed Peter for the Symbiote.
1. Otto actually betrayed Peter for the Neural Interface and those tentacles. He do it to get revenge on Norman for ruinning his Works and Company.
2. Phin do it to make Roxxon and Krieger pay for Rick's dead. She was reluctant at first, Until Miles lies to her.
3. Harry do it because he wants to "heal" the World. He didn't do it out of revenge. However, his good intentions make him what he become.
Otto: Good intentions turned to spite
Phin: a good person corrupted by revenge
Harry: a mission for humanity under a dark influence

@@quokonsGraham Phillips who played him in this game did a great job. Fun fact he played Ben 10 in a live action film titled Ben 10 Race Against Time and Yuri Lowenthal who played Spidey in the Insomniac games played Ben 10 in many animated series so that’s an awesome fact.

Same in my opinion harry is my favort chracter because of the emotional that he went through. I think i like harry the same level as pete.
I wish we saw more early Harry. The Harry we get is heavily affeted by the symbiote, even when he loses it it has a huge impact on his character.

The best part of symbiote Peter in all Spiderman universes is when he verbally destroys MJ and actually defends himself from people randomly deciding all the worlds problems are his fault. That is more satisfying than the symbiote surge in this game.

When I played the game and seeing MJ turned into Scream, I'm not surprised one bit because what I think is "Hmmm... I guess it's relatable, knowing MJ in Spiderman trilogy could only SCREAM across the trilogy" 😂😂😂

The venom design looks amazing and they took the same voice from the venom movies.
Different voice actors though.
I think that venom had the best design, especially since they wanted a more alien look.

They are merely just a slime. But when bonded they enchanced the host in pyhsical strength. At least thats how I think the symbiote work.

I felt like the symbiote was also sensing Harry’s frustration and anger at the moment and was drawn to him.

the Venom movie referance is amazing
This is like an actually good version of Harry’s story in the Amazing Spider-man 2. In that movie Harry was sick and Spider-man had the ability to save him but didn’t because… of reasons. I guess the writers couldn’t figure out how to create a conflict between Harry and Peter so the just had Pete act like an asshole for no reason. In this version it actually makes sense, Pete refused to help because the black suit had corrupted his mind.
In the movie, Harry thought Peter could save him, but refused to help (really his disease was just uncurable). So it was more of a misunderstanding than Peter being ignorant
The movie storyline still isn't as good as the game storyline though

That's why Venom was confused and angry on why it was rejected by Peter in almost every story. Heck in this one you can just say it lost it when heard it was gonna be killed for being itself.

Why didn't Harry turn into Agent Venom like he did earlier but instead turns into the monster Venom?
Well you have to remember that in the beginning, the symbiote had only been bonded to Harry, who at the time didnt know about peter being spiderman and all that. He nearly dies so harry does whatever it takes to save peter, even if it means giving up the symbiote. Similarly to all media, the symbiote grows attached to peter and believes it to be the one that it's meant to be bonded with.
Near the end when Harry gets the suit back, he is dying. He wants to live and his anger, combine with the symbiote who is also angry and hurt from being separated from peter accumulate to create Venom
Negative feelings, and the feeling is mutual. They're synced

No in the sense that those negative feelings did come from the symbiote as it is a living creature.
Yes because the symbiote is able to replicate the ability of whoever it's host previously was. Which is why Venom is so much tougher than Harry ever was as agent Venom

I can't wait to find out what happens in the next game and I'm also really happy that at the end of this game Harry wasn't completely lost,unlike otto Martin Lee harry was willing to sacrifice himself after he saw what was happening, although Martin did redeem himself later on as well. Despite everything that's harry been through he never felt truly evil
The game had a strong focus on redemption. Tombstone, Martin Li, and Harry, hopefully we see venom again in the next game as a hero/antihero but the symbiote looked pretty dead at the end.

@archieoutdoors3340 well gameplay wise, you fight the symbiotes after the meteorites destruction, peter still has antivenom, and you can do the carnage mission last. I dont think the meteorite was keeping them alive, but it was certainly influencing their behavior. Perhaps with its destruction the symbiotes can have their own will.

I had couple doubts about the sequel but as soon as I played it, all those doubts were gone but the story ramped up and blew me away in the 2nd half fmd incredible moments couldn’t stop saying holy s*** haha it’s a near perfect sequel for me love it

8:14 This moment doesn't feel as epic when you find out that Peter had already encountered Venom as soon as Harry fused with it. If this was the first time Peter saw it it would have been far better,

How the hell Insomniac's Venom which bonded with sweet, but dying young man like Harry Osborn created a major mass destruction?
The personality is very different than Sony's Venom that easily can become besties with it's host Eddie Brock, A bigger muscular guy who always got his heart broken either by his job, or his ex.
If you believe Venom's supposed to behave just like his host, then you're gravely mistaken. Venom movie made the character look like a hero which he never was initially. The original Venom from the comics was a being that twisted its host personality and brought up their worst traits. The game actually captures this image pretty well, given Venom's influence over both Peter and Harry (who are both kind-hearted people).
@@dimaudalow It's also like when the symbiote bonds with MJ, she immediately starts complaining about how she hates her job and the mortgage as Scream. It just brings out the worst in people that may or not have already been there in the first place.
I’m not a major comics fan but I don’t think the symbiot takes on the person they bonded withs personality I think the symbiot heavely amplifies negative emotions and thoughts we see this with Peter and MJ

No, they do. It’s just that Harry and Peter aren’t Venom’s first hosts.
Venom before landing on Earth had bonded with a genocidal alien overlord bent on bending the universe to his whim. It also bonded with Deadpool in the original comic, but we’ll stick with the former here.
Venom was screwed up long before it had bonded with Peter.
It was Peter’s rejection of the Symbiote in addition to Harry’s feelings of betrayal and resentment that further screwed him up.
The Klyntar species feeds primary on phenylalanine and adrenaline, both are chemicals produced during the fight or flight response. All that distrust and rejection was basically conditioning Venom to crave the stuff.

I think the issue is that Ben Jordan is British and the other guy Bubniak is from New York and for some reason looks way more like Spider-Man should look like, Ben Jordan looks generic

I wonder, even though from what I heard, the symbiote is the multiverse hive mind, which should mean all of their version are basically the same one from every universe. But why are there versions of symbiote that is actually pure evil and versions that are actually just anti-heroes?
If you’re referring to Peter’s anti venom, that is a Symbiote, but it’s not sentient, so it’s not a part of the hive mind

Because he's Harry's friend and it wasn't Venom's intention to kill Peter. It wanted to join him again in his conquest to "healing" the world.

I absolutely love this game and have been actively trying to resist playing it again so it doesn’t get old 😭
However - and this might be a controversial opinion - this is the worst scene in the entire game. It feels very inorganic and expedited with the “nastiness” they’re trying to draw out of him i.e. very forced. The writing until that point is so smooth, naturalistic and conversational (the Miles and Peter pre-lizard conversation felt more authentic, for example; not acknowledging Ganke, being curt and not even happy to see Miles). Here, he just randomly says that pill comment. It feels very out of place; it definitely could’ve been written a lot better.
Still not a fan of Peter's teenage face.
