I have a bearded dragon too and when they open their mouth like that it’s a defense mechanism bc their usually angry when they do that so that’s why she said that😭😭👍🏽
I've tried a similar thing with my cat and it wasn't the outdoors that prompted her to not move around much, the harness just made her feel very constricted and not herself (she is usually extremely curious and hyper aha) After getting her fixed the vet recommended us "pyjamas" to help her remain docile and prevent her from being too active and ripping stitches, and it was unbelievable how different she acted with them on and off!
Izzy My cat has a very secure dog harness and he goes on a leash outside. He doesn’t go on ‘walks’, but he sits outside and he loves it. We shake his harness and he comes running while screaming in our face. I love him
You should see my Guinea Pig when I take him outside. He popcorns like crazy, and squeals rapid fire. Then once he calms down, he eats. And eats. And eats. And eats. Then does his business in this one spot he particularly likes.

Cheese might like to go outside in his own personal tank taking in the sunshine. Kronos however was well into it I can see him declaring himself king of the dog park just him and his dad hanging out.
My cat LOVES going on walks. All the neighborhood dogs know him by now since we all walk our animals about the same time. He even knows not to try to go on the road. And even knows when it's time to go home. One downside is that you HAVE to take him for a walk at least once a week or he gets kinda stir crazy and then tries all sorts of hilarious things to get our household members to take him for a walk. Funniest thing is he knows he needs to be cleaned after a walk, so he waits on the mat by the door for you to wipe him down. It's the most adorable thing. You gotta wipe the paws and the belly and the nose. He even gives paws and shows belly sometimes.
You are honestly one of the reasons I have fallen in love with snakes. I used to be terrified and after watching the way you deal with snakes and how they act, I love them. I've actually done more research and it's helped me overcome my fear. Thank you so much!

You should get a ferret, they are very loving, and kind. First days they are shy, but they need to get comfortable. They get along with dogs and cats and more animals, but you have to introduce them slowly or else one animal might attack. But they end up being kind. They are very playful as well.
