- In today's video, we're taking it to the streets of Lampang, Thailand - and let me tell you, we're doing it on a budget, because your boy knows how to keep it cheap. First things first, I'm giving you the lowdown on the super budget hotel I've scored in Lampang. Situated right next to the Central Plaza, this place is a hidden gem.
Once we're settled in, it's time to hit the streets for a night walk. Lampang comes alive after dark, and I'm taking you on a journey through a local market and the main weekly market in town.
But the real highlight of the night is when we make our way to the legendary Ratsada Bridge, also known as the white bridge. Now, I've seen some crazy pics, and I won't lie, I was kinda hyped up for this one. But did it live up to the hype? Well, you gotta watch to find out!
Lampang might be a quiet town at night, but don't be fooled - there's always something happening.
Let's do this!

The hotel is a ripper 500 bht - 3 nights - impressive - markets - it’s all good vibes - happy days 👌😃👍👋🙏
500 Baht per night mate, but great deal, I really liked this place. Thanks Ant
I remember the white bridge! 🎉
It was a nice bridge but better on the weekends
Wayne, another great video! Being from Chicago, I don't think I could ever get used to driving on the left-hand side of the road.
I was the same in Vietnam buddy, I was nearly in so many accidents. Luckily Thailand is second nature for me on the roads. Thanks.
Nice hotel wayne ,and good value
Yes, I was really happy with this place 👍
Man! I'm a lean (not so) mean walking machine getting my 20K+ steps watching each of your vlogs! I'm loving the walks and rides around amazing areas in my favorite place, Thailand (no shit Sherlock) lol Thank you for being so annoyingly stimulating and passionate for sharing your experiences. That's a compliment by the way :😉😅
Jen
Haha thanks mate, glad you like the vlogs. It's great just walking around and see things. Cheers buddy 👍
Hi. Wayne, I'm an old subscriber, when you speak Thai and are talking money and prices etc, the word for 20 in northern Thai is (Sao) so 25 is Sao ha instead of yi sip ha, watch the reaction you get. Great video Wayne.
I think Sao is more for Isan region mate. You can say it in Northern Thailand, but I prefer Yi sip . Thanks for being an old subscriber mate 👍
Nice one Wayne.
Great value on the room.
Superstar Wayne is so loved in Lampang even the dogs are drawn to you. 😉
🤣🤣 I'm not sure they've seen a character like me around these parts. Hotel was a dazzler mate.
You said Lampang is a quiet town at night. I much prefer being calmed in the shadows of night's more gentle glow over having to suffer flashing neon signs. Though it is always good to have a place to go at night for the nocturnal, but even that should be calm and quiet, for the sake of the greater diurnal bulk. Those are my 72 year old sentiments, but some love wild nights.
Lampang is perfect for me, I like it quiet. It's a Big town, so can always find a little place open. Thank you.
Dear, Mr. Wayne. Lampang has a night market called Kad Kong Ta, open Saturday-Sunday 4pm - 10pm.
It sure does 👍
Bobby dazzler🤣🤣🥳🥳🥳🤠
✨Bobby Dazzler mate ✨ 👍
Nice walk and talk..maybe you're the only Farang out at nighttime.😆
I think I was mate, I can't recall seeing any other foreigner. Thanks.
Go to the riverside restaurant Great place with band ,It’s located on the river
Nice one 👍
🥰🥰🥰
🙏🙏🙏
Cool Wayne, I can see myself going back to Lampang and hanging out for $15/night
Nice get away from CM on a bike. This could be my new place to get away.
Nice night Maket 😊
👍👍
Great value room Wayne 👍 funky looking building gorgeous sure!
Are you seeing the electric sockets in hotels moving over to usb sockets over in Thailand yet?
… nice BMs parked there, but never liked the Matt print effect on a car 😝😝
Cheers Simo, the hotel was good mate, one of the best I've had. I was expecting a bit run down in Lampang, but it's the opposite. It would have been nice to drive the Beamer around 🤣. I just seen your video haha , nice one mate! "Tally Ho, me ol' Mukkas"
Thanks Simo
@@WalkAboutWayne 😝 cheers Wayne. That’s my vid for the year 😎😆
It looks like a good place, looking forward to seeing more. With the white bridge, do they light it up at special events & things maybe.
@@SimosThailand 🤣 It was a good video mate, well done. Yes, I think the Bridge is better at certain times and events. The market sets up there as well, which will be coming in one of the next episodes. 👍
👍😎
🙏🙏🙏
500 a night is an excellent price. I was thinking you would say around 850 . . .
Nice room, too.
Yes! The room was really nice for 500 👍
All of the street foods look amazing. I tend to shy away from street foods for fears of get a stomach virus. What's your experience been, Wayne?
I eat a lot of street food, normally from the places I know in Chiang Mai. I had food poisoning once in 4 years.
I lived and ate street food every Day for ten years, ate from some dodgy places too, but only got poisoned once having a steak in a very popular Farang place in Chiang Mai, so I wouldn't worry too much.
Hypothetical - do they charge you extra if a new found friend stayed a night or 3? i know some places do. Some places get a photocopy of the friends ID which is a great idea just in case.
No, not normally. The room prices are normally for 2 anyway. Ive never had a problem .
Get yourself to big c beer garden
No thank you, buddy 👍
