He described the process as taking a solid 10-20 hours week with his being on-location, editing, and etcetera. I kinda get it, but as with any activity we engage in, don't we do it for our own pleasure? And don't people put up videos and channels on YT to earn some income from Adsense and the other criteria? You're in a business...as far as I can tell..to MAKE MONEY and I don't fault you for that...make as much money as you can from the RUclips and related monetizer systems they employ...but I remain disinclined to go much beyond that...add my 'likes' and maybe a subscription. Look, I'm a cartoonist and I put up my cartoons on IG and FB and I make no money from it--and that's ok. I get a measure of joy and appreciation when people like my material but that's as far as it goes. As I said...good luck with your channel. I don't expect anyone to subsidize my cartooning time through Patreon or whatever...but that's just me. Cheers!

The "Jeepney" you used is called Songtheaow, that mean two benches and the standard fare is 10 Baht. Only for long distances like from Jomtien to north Pattaya you give 20 Baht. Don't ruin the prices. And if you are not in hurry, use Grab or Bolt. The motorbike taxi is mostly a rip off.

I'll be back in three weeks. April-May and June-July was a vibe. Also saw Bangkok, Jomtien and Hua Hin. Thx f/ the content. They probably closed the cable car in case of lightning. I didn't even realize the city had one. It isn't promoted in hotels or at excursion offices, and no RUclipsr I watch ever showed it. I'm back in September
For a more cultural experience. Please visit the Thai and Laos villages. It gives more meaning to Laotian and Thai culture, and village food is much more authentic and flavorful.
@@marcoroams Thank you, villages are always the best place to visit. Majority of my family died during the war of Vietcong in Laos, but the villages are still intact. I’m also a she, but that’s okay. I can’t wait to see the villages. 👍

The taxi driver wasn't really trying to rip you off. 300-400 is a decent price for what he was going to do. He was going to take you to the buddah on the hill and wait for you to take pictures and then drive you around Pattaya and back. And FYI the baht bus you were in is only 10 baht.
@@marcoroams yes language barrier for sure. 100 thb is a standard bike fair in Pattaya, if you go farther they charge you more. Yeah you can rent a bike for cheap and drive yourself. There are so many cool places to go and see. Sanctuary of Truth is one of the things you were talking about seeing, its in North Pattaya. There is another buddah south of town, I call it the buddah in the mountain which is what it is but it has a name too, about 20 minutes south of Pattaya on Sukumvit.

The motorcycle taxi driver's reaction to the cable-car issue is EXACTLY typical of most of the local population, '"no don't have in Thailand" and said with authority, and yet Pattaya Park in Jomtien has had that for 20+ years!! This is still an agrarian culture slowly industrializing. The West industrialized and moved 4ward 230+ years ago. It's not a criticism from me, it's just an identification of perspective. there are a LOT of great values we left behind, but understanding that they probably won't know, is not obvious to us...

hi having alot of trouble finding flights n hotels there, is Rayong near walking st n beach rd? hotel says 5 miles, googles says 40 minutes?!?!? n i assume i can use UTP or PYX then a taxi? ty!!
UTP is a very very small local airport. Foreigners fly into BKK Bangkok airport, and then taxi to Pattaya for 1500 baht.. There is also a daytime bus from BKK to Pattaya for 160 baht. Pattaya is about 2 hours away from BKK Airport. Pattaya has so many hotels that they cannot fill them all, and they range from inexpensive but nice, to Hilton and Resort Hotel expensive.
Wow....I don't think I'll be leaving our beaches in Port Macquarie for Pattaya anytime soon. Sometimes we forget how lucky we are rignt here in God's country.

crab shells are great4 making stock...I like to eat the meat sepetately..yes!! Sizzlers was awesome!but was very unafordable4 a family towards their last couple of years.
Prices vary depending on how good you are to bargain. Your a tourist - you are walking $$$ and if they can take more then fair, sucker you. Same in the Philippines - My Filipino wife really gets pissed when someone tries to take advantage of a Filipino. I never attempt to buy anything unless it is at an established store, usually ACE Hardware -

I used to live here for a little over 3 years. At 3:55 on the right side it's the sailor bar. Great place for inexpensive food. I had to leave because I got over 30 girls pregnant in a little over two and a half years. I was working overtime. I had to move to a different part of the country. I'm glad they don't have child support here.
It's my way of teaching sex education. It also gives women the opportunity to not have to rely on a man for financial support. Just doing my part.@@marcoroams

Pattaya has so many hotels that they cannot fill them all, and they range from inexpensive but nice, to Hilton and Resort Hotel expensive.

I used to live here for a little over 3 years. At 3:55 on the right side it's the sailor bar. Great place for inexpensive food.
