- The record-breaking 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event in Las Vegas has reached its final nine players, and each of them are guaranteed a seven-figure payday with a chance to make poker history and walk away with $10 million.
Leading the way is Illinois native Jordan Griff, who had just $47,192 in live earnings heading into poker's biggest event and has now locked up a minimum cash that is more than 50 times his previous best score of $18,104. Griff was all in on the first hand of the day against a flopped set but managed to river a bigger set in a miraculous shift of events that will almost certainly end up being worth several million.

Griff from being start of short stacked to chip leader shows how when your down you are not out in poker.
Griff being chip lead just shows what a joke poker can be a lot of the time, after spiking that Queen to avoid elimination at the beginning of the day

Thoroughly enjoyed watching the discipline some of these players have shown. So intense and so focused. A welcome break from the normal HCL or Lodge race to donking large sums with ill timed bluffs and reckless displays of indifference to money.
Of course Lena would say the Main Event is a piece of cake lmao!

He multitables 10ks and 25ks for 12 hours straight everyday, this is literally without question the softest 10k he has ever played in

Yeah Krissy was my rooting interest but she blew up With a workable stack (it happens) so now I want Griff or Serock to win.
Do they redraw the table or just leave them on the same position from the true final table of 10?
They probably get a redraw, also, the last 10 is not considered the "true" final table, it is only a step before the real final table which is of 9 players
They do not redraw after drawing for ten handed

Yep, i hate the term "professional poker player" Honestly don't believe that's even a thing, you get given 2 cards then a max of 5 cards come out and if you make the best hand you win. YES you can bluff etc but basically if you wait and wait and wait you will eventually get a hand that even a bluff can't put you off. Professional poker player NO, Someone who has plenty of cash and knows how to play poker YES

Yeah he's never done that before, its not like he has close to 50million in online earnings and 3,5M in live earnings, I'm swedish so im obviously rooting for him.
Noone in the field is even close to be at his level.

@@pkrmnk to be fair this is just another day the office for him, i dont think the money would change his life substancially, he already plays the biggest games possible and you dont do that unless you have a very very very large bankroll.
That being said i dont think even a guy like him is completely free of nerves for this FT.

Talk about unknown poker players……Good to see players that know it’s a crapshoot to make it to the final table at this event.
I don’t see any future stars from these players ( just 9 guys living the dream).
Hopefully these players take in every minute of this ride and their 15 minutes of fame and do their best.
I really believe that this year proves that this is a luck over skill event.

Seroc also has 4.5M in live tournament cashes and a wsop bracelet
@@shadowslayer232 Tamayo is a local Houston crusher with 2.3m earnings. Obviously there’s luck, but it’s usually guys who are consistent winners that final table these types of events
