    I'm glad I saw this. I just opened my BD 500-R was upset to find no cord was included (because nowhere did it state that the cord was not included). NOW I see there is SUPPOSED to be a cord! 😡 Now I've got to go back to REI again.

      Thanks for watching
      @@TweetyPAK7 sorry to hear that, annoying when you don’t get the parts your supposed to.
      If you’re already returning it I would consider a different headlamp tbh. Mine just started flickering and the spot light intermittently stops working. I’m looking at getting a fenix one next.

    Black Diamond, like Petzl, fundamentally do not want to use a USB-C connector in their flashlights, so I choose Nitecore... I hope this will change someday :)))

      Nitecore looks nice, which do you have? Next time I might try something from fenix.

    What about the runtime

    • @Paddleandbeans
      @Paddleandbeans  Месяц назад

      @@bysonrock2984 good question. I’ve never had it run out. I’ve used these all day in construction, and taken them out for a few hours at a time in the back country and never had to worry about it. I always top my battery off if I know il be using it too.
      Run time on the packaging would seem accurate.

      Depends on temperature. Running a light high at -15°C for hours is going to require extra battery packs. LiMnO2 or Li-ion primary are best, then rechargeable Li-ion, then alkaline disposables, but just assume 60% capacity at full charge below 0°C. Carry extra battery packs in an inside pocket to keep them less frozen in cold conditions.
