These two have still had many success despite the bad calls throughout their career, because they don’t dwell as much like some other players.

    This was some of the best tennis Federer played the whole 2013 season. He was so close to holding for 5-5 in the 2nd set but as the vid shows he had no confidence in his backhand and the 90sqinch racket had become his enemy, ran round to mishit and then shanks a routine forehand before hitting two backhands in the service box to gift nadal the 2nd. It was ultimately a blessing he had the nightmare us swing that year because he finally stuck with the new racket which undoubtedly extended his career by years.

  • @grimson
    @grimson 2 года назад +15

    These were the years when Roger's nerves began betraying him. Nothing wrong with his game or body, he'd just get tight at crucial moments, frame a couple forehands, and then lose belief. I'm glad it didn't end this way and he had that late-career surge in 2017-18.

    El peor año de federer vs el mejor año de nadal. Un punto que me he dado cuenta de federer en su juego. No se por qué cuando le quwda una bola para rematar cerca de la red siempre o casi la tira donde se encuentra el oponente( está bien para agarrarlo de contra pie de vez en cuando pero el casi siempre lo hace y este detalle le ha hecho perder incluso hasta partidos). Otro punto tampoco entiendo por qué sube a la red cuando no ha tirado la bola tan complicada al rival y le da la facilidad de que se la coloquen en cualquiera de los lados ( sobre todo nadal y djokovic que ponen la pelota donde quieren) es este detalle donde ha perdido partidos importantísimos. No se si no se ha dado cuenta o es testarudo para seguir jugando así

    Worst year of Federer against prime Nadal: close match win for Nadal. They played 4 matches, all for Nadal.
    Worst year of Nadal, 2015: He never make it to play against Federer (even avoided him in Cincinnati losing to Lopez).
    If they have played at least 4 matches, all of them would have been won by Federer.
    H2H is biased.

      But if Nadal would have made it to finals on hard court in 2006 or 2007 it would be for Federer.
      And don't bring that bullshit of Nadal being young, he was already a M1000 champion on hard courts since 2005.
