You couldn't have said it better. Once I found out I get the same dopamine hit from finishing a book or a sewing project, my luxury shopping addiction evaporated. I still buy luxury, but now it's purposeful.
This really resonated with me, thank you for sharing! It is so easy to get caught up in the next pretty thing and miss out on the experiences that really make you happy. This was a bit of a reality check for me- it's not the next handbag I was really looking for.
💛💛. Glad you found it helpful :). It’s one of those things that’s easier said than done and I definitely still find myself wanting to fall back into the trap when stressed 😅
I've been subscribing your videos, but then I found this video. I COMPLETELY agree with you. I just moved from S.KOREA due to marriage. My friend circle is limited. I tend to search and buy unmeaningful luxury items 😭 I hate searching for the next items and spending so much time and money on them. After I watched this, I decided to sell items that are unrelated to my lifestyle in Bay Area. Nonetheless, I still want to look lovely, chic, classy, and upper casual style like you!!! Could you make a video of timeless essential bags that you think of?
Awww I totally understand you girl! 🥲 As beautiful as the Bay Area is, it’s still foreign and not “home” and it’s easy to fall in the trap of thinking having better things can make up for the other voids that we crave. It’s very inspiring that you decided to only own the things that are useful for your lifestyle :) perhaps I have lots to learn from you hehe. Video idea noted! ❤️ I hope you enjoy your new adventure in california! 🥰
I totally relate, I love to own a chanel mini rectangle specially in the beautiful blue for this 22s collection, but I know I won’t give it enough use with my current life style, I don’t just want to look at it. Smart is not to get things that won’t be use. TY for sharing, amazing video.
Hey Jane, smart girl❤ really like your lesson #4 very good and very valuable advice. I hope people who watch this video will do the same. They will thank you for it. Thank you for sharing your experience and life lessons and knowledge.
Hi Jane! I gasped when you said residency- dermatologist here 👋👋 in my early 30's too and loving your videos as a fellow luxury lover who has stood in your shoes, having come to similar realizations ! What specialty are you in? 😊😊
That’s amazing! Derm sounds like a dream 😍 congrats!! Hehe I’m just a little fry compared to you, it was a dental residency so nowhere near as gruesome 🥺. So happy you’re here!! 💕💕
@@janeshappyplace3687 Oh Jane, I had no idea you were a dentist! What specialty are you in? Fellow dentist here--I'm in oral surgery residency right now (year 4 our of 6)! T.T
Wow... well said jane! It is true,we are still all searching for that sustained happiness. It certainly isnt the Luxury bags or goodies... appreciate the share! I subbed, let's comnect!
