I was born with pitch-black very straight hair but now at age 40 it's very light brown and very wavy. Has anyone else ever had that happen? It seems everyone's hair gets darker as they age? That's why you ask for historical pictures

Mine has gone through SO many color phases. Born with it dark, it turned red and then white blonde by age 2, darker again after puberty, and then started getting lighter after my second child 🤷‍♀️ I don't dye it, lol. Hormones can affect color and texture variations, a lot.
