I think there is a misunderstanding, in the video I mention 50 CAD exchange for 5000 CUP. At banks and resort front desks it’s way lower rate ( official rate) but nobody really exchange with them instead you can try the beach security guards

Canadian dollar should be fine, for example paying a taxi is same CAD OR USD, just get smaller bills as large bills are a bit hard to change there also make sure the bills are new. For tipping it’s better to get some 1 US dollar bills as coins doesn’t work work there
@@jwonTh try not to give Loonies and Twonies for tips, because Cuban bank wont accept coins. 1 US bills are best for tipping. Also if you could help them by take their Canadian loonies and exchange to Canadian bills back to them. They will really appreciateed for that.
With the Canadian passport or PR card (using your own country’s passport) you just need to book your ticket, that’s all they gave a paper which is the visa in the airplane, I prefer to take a package which is much cheaper, just go an agency or Sunwing.com

Just ask the beach guards, most likely they’ll do it if not just walk on the beach to the next resort beach guards
Exchange as little as possible. You can use CAD everywhere
