I bought the nickel plated version a few years ago. I love it. It's one of my favorite wallets because it's easy to use. It's nice looking too. Great review.
While I use the non-folding Dapper, it has stood out among my collection for its looks, weight, size, capacity, and quality. When using 5 or 6 cards, I leave off the plate so it doesn't go beyond being flush with the edges. It also drops weight. I'm no James Bond, and unlike the promo videos, I don't use the multi-tool insert. No need for brass knuckles, driving screws, or fighting zombies. I do, on rare occasion (ok, not so rare), open a bottle of ale. The Dapper is a lovely blend of brains and beauty and, after years of searching for the "perfect" wallet, has earned a top spot on my weekly rotation. It combines a smooth, organic look of leather, with the ultra-cool smooth lines of metal. What a contrast. It's so different than your slick black designer labels, super chunky trifold, little black metal rectangles, but not as rough as a Trayvax Ascent with it's weight and baseball glove leather. For me, it's the perfect balance of rugged and smooth and gets noticed at the register. Suprisingly, I've gotten more compliments on it than I ever got on any designer label card case or python billfold.
@@walletopia yes and I love it very much and really thanks for the info of the wallet. You are very detailed in explaining the function and the usage of it. Thumbs up and stay safe.
I purchased this same wallet over a year ago based on your video, lost it which sucks, just bought a Dtex D03… differences is the railing isn’t as big :( and no silicon band this time… I would like to see a review of it from you :D
I've got the D01 and the D03 wallets. For me, the perfect wallet would be the rail system of the D03 in the D01 with the silicone band. Of the two, I prefer the D03 because of the rail system (I don't care for their non-silicone band at all on it, but not enough to not use it).
When folded once it bends into the fold a little bit, folded twice it's not a big deal, but if you plan to carry more cash it could become a problem. Dango, with the exception of the A10, has always relegated cash carry to the silicone strap.
walletopia awesome I’m looking forward to it, cause I bought the same wallet from the website a few min ago, from a post on FB... I wanted to see reviews, yours it is.
Folding cashing cash into thirds is “too much work”… I find it more esthetic, and easier to carry money in thirds, in my Ridge wallet, which I would definitely recommend for this type of wallet
Correction: Dango wallets aren't made in the USA. They're made in the PRC. No, not that one, the other one (People's Republic of California). J/K Great video and great review, as always.
This is the video I been waiting for. I have been eyeing this wallet for a while, but there are not many videos about the bifold version. Thank you!
Thanks for putting the bills in the right way
Sometimes I get it right 😀
I've been really enjoying your reviews. Good analysis and feature decomposition. Thanks!
Glad you like them!

I noticed you didnt mention that you cam swap out the bifold to a single pouch slim wallet configuration. Gives the Dango wallets a good versatility.

Thanks Glenn! It's always great to hear from those who carry these wallets for extended periods of time with great detail and explanation!
RFID blocking?
Thanks for the review and i purchased it!!! Lol... Can't wait to receive mine this Friday.
Great!

Love to hear a review of their new Dapper D01 pen wallet...
Hi Kevin, we've done a review of this wallet, it's here: ruclips.net/video/PRYwhGqHQkc/видео.html
walletopia Thanks! Could you also add a ‘pocket bulge’ test? That’s one of the considerations but is hard to get from the manufacturers website.
Thanks Kevin, interesting idea.
@@walletopia Yeah I think that's a good idea too tbh
walletopia that link just takes me back to this video not the pen wallet thanks love the info. I just bought the dango 007

Looks solid value/performance ratio
Can you put cash on the inside of the wallet?
You can, but...if you fold it once it does bind a bit in the fold, so folded twice or thirds is how it would work on the inside leather pocket
@@walletopia does it work well in your opinion?
When folded once it bends into the fold a little bit, folded twice it's not a big deal, but if you plan to carry more cash it could become a problem. Dango, with the exception of the A10, has always relegated cash carry to the silicone strap.
@@walletopia how about cash in the outside card pouch under the strap?
@@trumpeter93 That's made for more cards and with the silicone strap it's super hard to put cash in there. Using the strap is what Dango intends.
Is the wallet actually 6" x 4" x 1.5" ?! I was ready to purchase, but that is HUGE. It certainly doesn't look that big in the video @ 4:15
No, I was seriously wrong with that. I just pulled it and measured it, it's 4.3 x 2.7 x .5"
Waiiit I saw cracking in the leather on the spine, how has it held up???
I haven’t done a carry test on this wallet so I’m not much help on the long term, but I do remember what you’re talking about.
Great review just ordered today and looking forward to trying it out. New subscriber here 🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾
Awesome! Welcome!
Which pocket do you place your drivers license?
Did you end up keeping this wallet? Man! I'd love to see how that Green leather patinas!!!
This one I have, but haven't done a long-term test on it yet. but I plan to.

You gotta try the pioneer wallet by dango
Can anyone tell me how thick these are when full?
There's only so much you can cram in them which leaves them about .75" thick.
Does it carry euros and yen ?
Yes if you fold them twice, but Euros smaller than the 50 note fit fine.

Anyone else have a wallet obsession
Hopefully everyone does!
Lol I'd give that wallet a 5 compared to the wallets you scored high.
Could be, but the leather on the version I had was genuine. I hear it's better now which would increase the score for sure.
It ain’t no Ridge Wallet with better card placement design -
Your shit is all over the place 😂
