This looks amazing on my 1080p plasma. It's a shame that cable tv hasn't even delivered anything close to BluRay quality, and yet here we are moving on to 4K.
+The HDR Channel The hisense h8c has hdr. That probably explains why the colors pop. I went on rtings.com and they said it's a 10bit panel but everyone else says it's 8bit.. I dont know what to believe, all I know is this thing puts out awsome deep colors when viewing your hdr videos!
officialpartychannel Just get a Chromecast Ultra. Even on a brand new Samsung 4k HDR TV, navigation and reliability are spotty with the apps. Netflix tends to lose connection quite a bit. I don't get that while using the Chromecast or Chromecast Ultra.
Not getting consistent HDR results with Roku Premier+ RUclips app and Vizio M55-E0 (2017 model). The TV "info" button indicates this video (HDR Wonderlan) is being displayed as "2160p HDR10" but many others such as "Real 4K HDR: Rocky Mountain Express IMAX Documentary Clip in HDR (Chromecast Ultra)" are displayed as "2160p Normal" (no indication of HDR). Any ideas? Since this TV was only released about a month ago, wondering if it's not a software issue.
Interesting, this should not happen. I can confirm both of those videos play in HDR with Chromecast Ultra. Can you ask Roku support, I would also like to know?
Unfortunately you can only use Chromecast Ultra or some (!) updated Samsung 4K TVs to see these videos correctly. RUclips is working on enabling HDR support in more apps.

This looks nice on my 50" hisense h8c 4k TV!!!
It looks nice because it's 4K. But note it is only in actual HDR if you are viewing it with a Chromecast Ultra + 4K HDR TV.

Doesn't the built-in app on a 4K HDR tv, show 4K HDR?
Currently only some recent Samsung TVs (2016+) have RUclips HDR built-in.

You can also file a bug with RUclips, but you need to be very detailed, with repro steps: github.com/RUclipsHDR/hdr_metadata/issues
how to watch this video.? without Ultra Chromecast?

You can always download the video by googling it.
Well, I'm able to watch this in HDR using the latest Windows 10 on my 75x900e and in Edge only. Chrome doesn't work unfortunately :(
