  • The Revolutionary Chicken Feeder is a no waste feeder that is also waterproof (or rainproof). Mice can't get inside either. It holds 40 lbs, is transparent so you can see when it needs to be refilled, and chickens can't waste their food! This feeder also works for ducks, turkeys, and peacocks.
You can purchase this feeder at RevolutionaryChicken.com.

Two days after getting this feeder my chickens had a ton of food in the ground. All the rodents get their food from the ground now.

I am so sorry this happened. I noticed on a picture you posted that you were using whole grains as chicken feed. I'm thinking this may be easier for chickens to spill than other chicken feed. For best results, I recommend crumbles or mash. Also, I'm happy to give you a refund if this doesn't work for you.

Are you still selling the feeders?

The holes are too high. The bottom of the "tubes" should be very near the bottom or else you have what looks like 3"of unused food forever siting on the bottom.

Thanks for your comment. I must admit, I've wondered how high to put the holes. Right now, I mark about 4 3/4" up from the bottom of the container to be the center of the 3 1/2" holes. This makes the bottom of the feeder port 1 3/4" away from the bottom of the container. I did once try it a 1/2" lower, and I wasn't happy with how the feed filled in underneath the ports. So, yes, you do lose a little bit of space by not having it closer to the bottom, but I feel like it's necessary so the feed can fill in the space underneath the feeding ports.

Rat proof? They are taller and can jump high...

Unfortunately, no. I don't make any claims about rats. This might deter them, but for the reasons you mentioned, I do think they'd be able to get in.

Help! I can't get the website to come up so I can order some feeders.

Hey Darlene, thank you for letting me know. I'm not sure what's not working, because I just checked using a couple of different computers at my house, and my website appears to be up and working. revolutionarychicken.com. I want to do a "Buy one get one 50% off," but I'm not figuring out how to do that. So if you go ahead and buy two, I will refund the second one 50%.
