- Heavy 1/2” (12,6mm) Clevelander Cast Bronze snaredrum. Weight is over 21kg!
Excellent snare for orchestra playing, but also usable as part a kit too of course!
The hoops in these demo are 80s Yamaha hoops, original hoops are the same as Tama Diecast hoops.

I got to play Nicko McBrains (Iron Maiden) all bronze snare years ago.
This one sounds great as well.
oh man I bet it would sound insane with an aquarian reflector or an evans reverse dot
Is it me or do you need shorter tension rods...? The snare sounds good, though.
The snare still had a lot of ‘customizations’ at the time of the video. Wrong hoops, wrong rods and non original lugs. Besides the lugs, I managed to get it back to the original condition. Nonetheless an extraordinary snare indeed!
@@driftdrums5218 yes, even with that "frakensteinization" it sounds great... 😉👍🏼
It's the washers on this modification version of the snare. The rods stick out and if hit improperly can break
@@chinakohlDE yes your right. Not sure if the previous owner bought them like this or made them himself, but he had rods with ball bearing washers which are very thick, forcing the rods to stick out. I couldn’t play with it, so I got rid of them as soon as I could 😅
Cleveland!!!
If I had it, I would back off the tuning off a little lower. It sounds a bit chocked to me. Otherwise great drum.
I agree on the chocked sound. That’s what the thickness of the shell does. It gives the snare a lot of definition, making it great for orchestras. It was also one of the reasons I didn’t keep it for my private collection.
