Have always heard that wild cockatoos are little hell raisers and scoundrels, just little rascals who like to get into mischief and will risk their lives just to get some kicks 😂 I think they're hysterical little troublemakers 😂 They're like tree monkeys with beaks and wings 🤣
These birds really have such a sense of humor. They're mischievous. The bird is creeping up on the cat like "You are NOT going to ignore me". So cute lol
I think this is about the 5th Cockatoo video I've watched in the last few days....and I'm becoming addicted ! They have such great characters & really make me laugh. Like little naughty children in bird form. 😂
I would LOVE to live where I had wild cockatoos in my yard! I have squirrels and birds native to the south...but wild parrots!!... I would be in heaven.
Certain Cockatoos and various other kind of parrots are VERY common in Australia. some parrots have adapted very well to agriculture and urbanization, while other parrot species have declined.
Cockatoos are so intelligent, if not the most intelligent birds. Amazing how the cat just stayed there. My cockatoo and my pomerenean dog are best friends and play together all the time. Hide and seek is their favorite
@apparentlyrebbecca ,these are sulfur crested cockatoos. these are the most intelligent birds on the planet. we had 2 of them. they learnt swear words and they didn't learn them off us. they also understood sentence construction and made up their own sentences. they did not just repeat things 'parrot fashion'.
It’s always fascinating to watch cockatoos going thru the plans they made up in their minds. They’re really plans makers or short terms projects birds, as well as artists and communicators.
This is a testament to the laid-back temperament that some cats can have. Some people pin it on breed, but I think that it has more to do with whoever the cat is around for its formative years. My cats have all had very long fuses for being messed with, regardless of breed.
I think this cat is old and hearing probably not so good too. Poor thing just trying to take an arvo nap and cockatoo looks like it wants cat out of way to have access to whatever is in that plastic container. Birds do notice when cats become less of a threat and start to take advantage of the situation.
Cokatoo might get a good bite in and cat will run or cat might wrap around it with all claws and sink those sharp teeth in. My cat chased a beagle up the laneway the other day, poor dog was screaming for it's life ha ha ha.
CrazyBirdyBird Unfortunately your friends poor cat must of been a house cat. My cat spends most of it's time out in the bush of rural Australia hunting rabbits.
@@SanchoGracie lol. Totally understand that Tracy. I used to spend time feeding our local ones with kangaroo mince during the year. That way when breeding season came they were really used to me and would just fly down happily looking for a feed. They'd even let me near their babies
The cheekiness and curiosity of the cockatoo proves that it is a intelligent and cunning bird. It could match a 4 year old child in general intelligence. Some parrots even match a 5 year old child. Cockattos are my favourite animals.
+Julie Bell This cat looks sick and like it is suffering. The posture with his head sunken down on his paws - my cat did that when she was very very sick. Most people don't understand this and think it is "cute".
Wow, that cockatoo is so clever and tries his best to tease the cat and comes up with a novel way to do it so that she can't see him and he gets the job done. He is just like a toddler.
I personally find it amazing how patient and tolerant the cat is. The cat just lays there and ignores the cockatoo like it’s thinking, “If I ignore it long enough, it will go away.”
THAT IS SOOO FUNNY. I'VE WATCHED IT A DOZEN MORE TIMES JUST TO GIGGLE AND LAUGH .THE CAT IS LIKE CHILLING OUT BEING PESTERED BY THE PESKY COCKATOO THEN FLEW AWAY SCREAMING , IT WORKED SOME NERVRS AND CAME BACK , IT POOTED A STREAM AND TRIED THE TAIL .NOW THAT WAS THE FUNNIEST PART.
Cat never fails to lose equanimity and treats parrot like a beloved child. And you can tell by the raised crest and slightly annoyed look on the bird's face that it was put out at not not being able to wind up the cat. Very endearing.
Nope - the bird and the cat both know that the real prize is the container of cat food. The bird is trying to pester the cat into leaving. The cat knows this from bitter experience and prefer s to put up with the small annoyances for the sake of a greater one: an empty bowl!
I was mugged by a gang of cockatoos in Australia who successfully got a muffin I was eating while trying to read my book on a balcony. It started with one, then others joined in, just sitting on the balcony eying me. It was like a scene from “The Birds”. Once they covered the balcony from one end to the other, the toughest looking one jumped on my recliner “demanding” some of my muffin. “Okay” I thought, “He’ll get a small piece and that’ll be the end of it.” Big mistake! The next moment I was swarmed by all the other cockatoos demanding their share! Wished I’d filmed it. In the end a couple of smaller parrots chased the remaining cockatoos off for the crumbs.
I used to have a cat and I’m fairly sure when I got her, she’d been an indoor cat. We had two crows that lived somewhere in my yard. They used to dive bomb my little kitty. She didn’t know what to do. Then my other cat, this big Norwegian Forest cat taught her how to hunt birds. Shortly after Heckle and Jeckle seemed to have moved on, then the yard became a no fly zone. There weren’t any birds in my yard besides the quail. For some odd reason there seemed to be a treaty between the quail and the cats. It’s either that, or the cats figure no self respecting feline would go after a bird that’s walking. Every day at 4pm all the quails would come out and March across my yard and then go up in some trees and put on a concert. The cats never bothered them.
Poor kitty looks like he knows they mock him and knows that if he reacts too much they will really get a kick out of his frustration. It's called teasing!
Hilarious! Talk about a cheeky bird. I think he just wanted to get the cat's attention. I can't get over how patient the cat was. I guess he's used to it.
I've seen a duck doing that to a black swan in the park. Biting it's tail. Several times. The duck ducked away between others when the swan turned it's head to see what bit him. When te swan looked away again the duck repeated it's attack.
He didn't like the cat ignoring him, but he was determined to get some kinda reaction, gotta admit that cat did well though didn't he, must be a regular thing between the pair of them. Great vid, thanks for sharing.
This cat is just too cool! Would I love to be in that part of the world where cockatoos fly wild. Not sure I would trust a Greater Sulphur though. I've had a Moluccan for 20 years and I would never suggest anyone get a cockatoo for a pet because they are a challenge in so many ways and they live a very long time, all going well.
Where I live in Australia 1/5 of the wild Cockatoos are diseased with bent beaks and some are bold, its really sad because they keep on infecting each other..
The cat is like, "this happens every morning..."
Lol
@Dave Smith
Give another like and we will have *Hellcat!*
I can even see the tired expression on the cat
the cat is not LIKE.... shut the fuck up
that is not what the cat is LIKE you fucking idiot. the cat did not fucking say that.
i love cockatoos there like the internet trolls of nature

"They're", not "there", idiot!
cockatoos are beautiful
@Freedog13 the joke was he was being a troll...
but. why? - haha trueee
It's funny how the bird is messing with the cat but when the cat turns around the bird runs aways and screams! 😆
He's playing Hit and run with that other cockatoo XD
"and screams" lmao yes the scream is so good lololool
All birds are like this. My goose is a coward until your back is turned.
yeah, right, like "help! the cat attacks me"))
Its like DESHANTAY WILDER with ANTHONY JOSHUA😂😂👊👊
That dramatic getaway after an ineffective sneak attack.
*boop*
"AHHHHK!"
Lope one dope
😂
SQWAAAAK
The scream as it fled the scene was the best part lol
god your avatar is so fucking stupid
Cockatoos are cheeky buggers. Have to admire that cats patience though.
Tally Ho rizzla cat puts up with that all the time, he/ she’s over it
'toos are full of mischief. They love having fun and taking chances.
.....cat is probably getting along in years . Cockatoo is likely familiar to the cat and a regular visitor for a feed .

I have one and they are infact cheeky bugggers
These birds have more personality than most people I know.
Lmao
And are less annoying than some people i know
True❤
Hopefully you've left the house after all these years then
Are you sure you aren't just hard to be open around?
1:13 "I DID IT!! I TOUCHED THE BUTT!!!"
Cockatoos may be smart but also cowardly and inefficient . . . a mockingbird would have zapped that butt good in less than five seconds.
John Doe
lorrikets kill cats
He touched the butt
@James Merrymen: Why would you want to kill any animal??
@James Merryman no birds kill cats and eat them
These birds really have such a sense of humor. They're mischievous. The bird is creeping up on the cat like "You are NOT going to ignore me". So cute lol
It most likely has a nest nearby
Lmao thats so hilarious, the cat doesn't even react and the bird flies off screaming.
Hahahaha, 0:53 Magpie in the background walks past, looks, and goes "nope, I don't want to know"
Cat: Totally minding its own business.
Cockatoo: I see you have chosen death.
Hahahahaha! 🤣
You're too funny!
The internet has undervalued one of its best comments.
Bro cockatoos are much stronger I know becoz I got attacked by one he ran becoz the danger sign
"Omg, omg, I can't believe that vicious cat attacked me! I was just minding my own business!"
Lol
It's funny because of the outrage.
I love how the bird creeps up so slowly and carefully 😂
But not quietly 😂

He drops his crest like he's dissappointed when the cat doesn't react
Love how much thought the bird is putting into its attempts at teasing the cat
The amount of patience that cat has is just crazy.
I get the feeling those two have done that song and dance before.
This bird lives life on the edge lol.

Kitty Vaughn
have flocks of them in australia , I've seen
wild white ones around 200+
and wild black and red around 50 to 100
its great the first morning
not so great after that. they travel in big EXTREMELY noisy packs
They are amazing! We have wild cockatoos that come into our garden!
Certain Cockatoos and various other kind of parrots are VERY common in Australia. some parrots have adapted very well to agriculture and urbanization, while other parrot species have declined.
Yeah it's pretty great in Australia
That cat doesn't GAF.
cat: you hear sumn
Most cats have few F to give. This one's clearly been here before, has no Fs lef tto give.
MrTubularBalls
That cat is giving the most disappointed and annoyed face I’ve ever seen. It’s like as if they had to deal with this every day
только собаки делают гаф
That cockatoo won a bet
It's so surprising to me that they are this intelligent. The bird is actually teasing the cat and getting a real kick out of it!
Smart they are. So are crows. They amaze me.
But this cat here is more intelligent because it doesn't let itself be annoyed. Cool cat 🙂
Lmao I Love how he bites the tail and he himself screams and runs.
That cat's looking over it's shoulder like it's saying 'I know you're there!' e.e
Cat hears every move, Parrot knows every move. Is a game
Every Cockatoo I knew, and I have known a lot, was a trouble maker. Charming trouble maker!
LMFAO HE BIT HIS TAIL AND SCREAMED LIKE HELL LOL AND RAN OFF LOL
Hahaha!, “RAAAH!” (frantically flaps its wings around)
I don't know why I found this so hysterical XD the bird's such an ass then screams DON'T TOUCH ME!!! s'like Kuzco.
More like: "I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY!" lol
Cockatoos are so intelligent, if not the most intelligent birds. Amazing how the cat just stayed there. My cockatoo and my pomerenean dog are best friends and play together all the time. Hide and seek is their favorite
Lillian Eversole I love cockatoos and Pomeranians
Lillian Eversole you got me fucked yo the African Grey is the most intelligent parrot
Lillian Eversole the owl is way more intelligent
@apparentlyrebbecca not the most intelligent, but highly mischievous
@apparentlyrebbecca ,these are sulfur crested cockatoos. these are the most intelligent birds on the planet. we had 2 of them. they learnt swear words and they didn't learn them off us. they also understood sentence construction and made up their own sentences. they did not just repeat things 'parrot fashion'.

I’m not sure the cat would win…
I'd bet money on the cockatoo in a fight.

CrazyBirdyBird Unfortunately your friends poor cat must of been a house cat. My cat spends most of it's time out in the bush of rural Australia hunting rabbits.
THAT is one determined bird! 😀
So funny how he carefully inched closer and closer, calculating and planning. the cat wasn’t too bothered.
That Cockatoo is a mischievous bugger but oh so cute!
This is the calmest cat I've ever seen looool
If the cat farted it would give him a heart attack! LOL!
Enjoyed.the.videos and.the.comments
This has to be Australia! The birds look wild & free
Yeah the black and white bird is a magpie and they attack you in spring if you go near their nest.lol. it's part of our life as Aussies

The expressions of cockatoo are soothing ... Such an adorable little Honey 😍😘😘
The Cockatoo is like YOLO!!

what a precious sweet cat
Julie Bell I feel sorry for the poor cat. It seems lethargic. No response to being bitten seems strange to me.

Ana Dubar that's exactly what I thought... that poor cat is sick :-(
Chloe (the cat) was 19 and in the last weeks of her life at the time of this video. Not in pain, just old.
@@cemaree1 shame you let the tormenting by the bird go on for that long just to film if Chloe was so aged + lethargic
Wow, that cockatoo is so clever and tries his best to tease the cat and comes up with a novel way to do it so that she can't see him and he gets the job done. He is just like a toddler.
That cat was seriously calm, my Siamese runs like hell if my bird is even in the room.
I get the feeling that that siamese is very old and unwell. It doesn't look too healthy.
What a cute troublemaker.
He’s sooo annoyed the cat is giving him nothing 😂
"What's a juicy fluffy ass" - thinks Cockatoo.
Tell me just one good reason not to bite it!
😂
*Not only can the bird walk and climb both horizontally and vertically, it also uses it's beak at hook while climbing. **0:40** and **1:55*
That other bird watching like…..Oooooohhh, it’s about to go down !
The cockatoo wants whats in the bowl but the cat is blocking him from getting to it so he's trying to scare it off.
Finally some real observation!

Bird: Look at this bitch layin over here... *Cat head turns* Bird: SHIT NIGGA RUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN GUAHHHHHHHHHH
wow, they must do that ALOT, for the cat to not even bother looking.
This would be amazing to be able to interact with so many of these birds everyday
Looks more like an invitation to play/mock since it's pulling the fur rather than doing a quick bite.
You are right.... the Cockatoo was being playful. ...and they were only light tugs on her fut
Cecile Thompson i dont think so. i think he was just curious about the cat
